We still being linked demairi gray?

1.) 15 Jan 2017 22:52:26
Hope so him and lookman on each wing

11 Jan 2017 18:01:08
Hi ed001 have you heard of us making a move or enquiries for berahino. Or is this belofidl fella an alternative thanks in aaabance.

{Ed001's Note - Berahino is more of a last resort mate. Belfodil is the one Koeman likes. By the way, I saw someone further down the page questioning Walsh, perhaps they should check out more of his work. He is, imo, the best signing of the summer, in the Prem.}

1.) 12 Jan 2017 07:22:54
Think the vast majority of us agree with you ed. Ill trust his judgment and support whoever he recommends

{Ed001's Note - glad to hear that, he knows what he is doing. He won't get every signing right, but he will improve recruitment massively.}

2.) 12 Jan 2017 07:59:46
Do you rate Belfodil, Ed? Hadnt even heard of him.

{Ed001's Note - he was a standout in the UAE Gulf League, but the standard is not the highest. Looks to be maturing into a very good footballer, but I have not seen enough of him in Europe to see how he gets on against a better level of player though.}

3.) 12 Jan 2017 08:48:11
Ed001 Walsh was the best signing of last summer? How about the best signing in the last 10 years! He will make things happen.

4.) 12 Jan 2017 08:48:11
Ed001 Walsh was the best signing of last summer? How about the best signing in the last 10 years! He will make things happen.

{Ed001's Note - could well be for Everton. I was talking about for the entire Prem though. Over the last ten years I think Claudio Ranieri for Leicester, along with Walsh joining them, would be above him joining yourselves. For now at least. In five year's time, he could well prove me wrong by finding you the signings to win a league, but I don't think we will see that happen, at least not within that timeframe. Mind, I never thought I would ever see Leicester win the Prem!}

5.) 12 Jan 2017 09:28:19
Could be a steal for the quoted price then?

{Ed002's Note - What "quoted" [rice would that be?}

6.) 12 Jan 2017 09:40:19
£10.4 million, Phil McNulty, bbc reporter.

{Ed002's Note - The price is in euros and not GBP and the third-party who is involved will take a percentage on top - perhaps McNulty should share information in the correct currency?}

7.) 12 Jan 2017 10:31:02
I read that it's £4 million and the player is also taking a percentage to keep the real total private. Probably just rubbish tho. Tbf, his price doesn't bother me, it's not my money they are spending

{Ed002's Note - Twitter I suppose. You cannot keep the real total quiet - every transfer is recorded on the TMS.}

8.) 12 Jan 2017 11:03:52
Article on the NewsNow site. Stay well clear of Twitter. Don't even have an account.

{Ed002's Note - You should stay clear of that then as well.}

9.) 12 Jan 2017 11:27:00
Maybe so ed. I'm just looking forward to seeing who we have signed by end of January.

03 Jan 2017 17:53:15
Ed have we been in contact/ discussions with Man Utd over Memphis depay? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - Yes but Manchester United will look to sell and not loan Depay and right now Everton see the associated risk of taking him on and prefer a loan.}

1.) 03 Jan 2017 18:29:09
Thanks ed. I think it would be a good move for him. I remember you saying a couple of years ago a move to a abigger club was not a wise move for him and a club like Newcastle at the time would be ideal. I think we would be the ideal club for him and could find his feet again because for some reason some evertonians just love to get on lukaku and Ross's back when lukaku has a amazing goal record for a club like us at this moment in time maybe in 4 5 years we will have a better team and demand more effort rather than just goals but his goals are keeping us up the higher end of the table. Can you see a deal happening for depay with us.

{Ed002's Note - Any move should be a good move but there is a risk and the idea of a loan makes a lot of sense. Certainly a "maybe" as other interested sides only want a loan or are of no interest to him.}

2.) 03 Jan 2017 18:51:12
Cheers again e d.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Eddy.}

27 Dec 2016 15:31:51
Just seen some reports linking us with balotelli you eds heard anything. And what's everyone's view on him if we did sign him.

{Ed025's Note - i think someone is pulling your leg eddy, no chance mate..

1.) 27 Dec 2016 15:52:06
I hope so he's the complete opposite to a koeman type of player 😂.

24 Dec 2016 18:13:00
Ed002 you said we could go for gabbiadini last ditch attempt what did you mean by last ditch.

{Ed002's Note - There comes atime when the club will give up on him and look elsewhere - but he is the first choice.}

1.) 25 Dec 2016 13:09:16
Is he any good ed? What player would you say he has comparsions to thanks.

{Ed002's Note - He is seen as versatile and can play as an attacking midfield player or as a striker or winger. His failing is that he doesn't seeem to score enough goals. He has been the prime target for a while for Everton and, if they have the stomach to negotiate with Napoli, something can be done in January.}

2.) 25 Dec 2016 15:09:51
Ta la merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone 🎄🎄🎄.

3.) 25 Dec 2016 17:28:16
Not the easiest to negiotate with in the past, ed?

Also a Merry Christmas to everyone, posters and ed's!

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Hugo. No but they are done with him and will let him leave.}

I think a good window would be :
Lookman-add for squad depth maybe replace mirllas when he's ready
Berahino- replacing Geri
Scheniderlin replacing gueye for afcon then Barry at the end of the season
Depay-replacing bolaise
Dolberg-get him in now to bed I. And replace lukaku in the summer

Geri looks on his way out.

1.) 02 Jan 2017 18:59:21
Good list but still need a ball player. a banega/ mata type of player, as a priority as competition or back up for rosd.

2.) 02 Jan 2017 18:59:29
What do they rest of you think? Thanks.

3.) 02 Jan 2017 19:01:27
Not sure I would let jags leave. Especially not without a top class replacement as that would leave us with 3 cbs including Holgate. Also he is our captain and has been a very good servant for us.

4.) 02 Jan 2017 19:18:42
I've never liked jags alsways been shaky on the ball yeah he's good at last ditch tackles and blocks but he's only doing them because he's caused them to be last ditch due to his mistakes and pace I think Williams holgate mori and this smith from Ipswich would be enough. Forgot to include him. I think Robles isn't a good keeper far from it to but he gets clean sheets because do think he tell the back four where to be he's always talking to them something I've never seen steklwnburg do. Think we need a go in the summer Leno, timo horn, butland, Pickford Have we any intrest in them ed for the summer.

5.) 02 Jan 2017 19:55:07
Agree with some but would not want berahinho, Brahimi yes. As for playmaker, I know it's out there but let's bid £30 MIL for Payet, even though it's very unlikely, it sends a message out that we mean business. Most exciting times on and off the pitch for a while.
In Koeman, Walsh and Moshiri we trust.

6.) 02 Jan 2017 20:10:20
Already been said Eddy, that it is very doubtful Man Utd will loan or sell us any of their players, Mourinho sees us as direct rivals, but money always talks loudest.

7.) 02 Jan 2017 22:02:54
We already have a ball player in rossi barkley. When we get better quality around him he will show his worth trust me.

12 Nov 2016 20:43:48
Hi ed002 did you get any updates this week regarding Evertons plans in the transfer window thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Eddy - I am working through the updates as a series of Sharkopods, Liverpool is the first. Others will follow in the next week or two including Everton.}

1.) 13 Nov 2016 08:42:17
Ed. For an older reader. What's a Sharkopod?

{Ed025's Note - now your asking tedster, i would guess its a podcast by ED002 who has an avatar of a shark on his profile mate..

31 Aug 2016 20:57:16
What's happens when our new signings go the the afcon we will be left with the squad what we started with plus shekels burg and sis solo.

{Ed025's Note - well thats 4 with them two new names.. :)

1.) 31 Aug 2016 21:30:45
These iPhones are poo! All in all a good window with farhad showing he's got a massive set on him.

11 Aug 2016 08:03:03
Hi eds have you heard of us looking at any keepers we are linked with a lot of outfield players but we need a no1 more than anything. Thanks.

13 Jul 2016 19:10:23
Just want to say good luck to stones in the future he will
Go on to achieve great things with future clubs. He's been a great player at times and a respectful young lad towards our club even when he's wanted to leave which you can't blame him he's not an Everton fan and at the end of the day it's a job would you change your job for double the money and to be under one of the best managers in the world because I would. The only player I would hate to see leave is Ross because he's a Everton fan and got huge potential.

1.) 13 Jul 2016 20:01:43
Dream on mate.

2.) 13 Jul 2016 20:06:09
Well said Eddy, I totally agree. He's a talented young lad with the world at his feet. Shame it hasn't worked out but £50m plus certainly softens the blow. Hope he goes on to realise his dreams.

He wanted a bigger club than us in the summer and it looks like he's going to get that with atletico can't blame him if he chose them they are one of the best teams around. I hope we can find another striker before the window shuts need a pacey tricky type striker to play in a game like today where they have 10 men behind the ball so they can play short one twos heard anything on that position ed.

You never know ed he could come good? Have we shown interest in any other attacking player since the deal for belfodil collapsed? Thanks again.

{Ed025's Note - as far as we know eddy berahino has never been on the radar mate, other attackers have been looked at but there is nothing tangible at the moment..

Ed does it look like we are going to go for berahino now that befodil is dead won't go for depay on a permanent. He looks like the last option as you said last resort thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - I know nothing of Everton interest in Berahino - are the club that stupid?}

I think RK has let himself and the club down with his recent comments as we all know lookman took a month or so to sign these things take Time there's a lot of money involved not just £500 at a time millions of pounds. We will sign more players if they are the right players and want to come to Everton in the current situation it's not the beat situation is not to be honest. The club know what we need and we have 3 weeks to conclude the deals moaning and booing doesn't get anyone anywhere. We have started this transfer window better than any other window so for me we are doing positive stuff

Cheers ed I'd be happy with any of the lukaku just needs someone to share the pressure with not like he should have any. I'd take a punt on berahino not go in to be that expensive with his contract coming to a end. And maybe wait to get dembele to replace lukaku?

{Ed001's Note - Dembele is a difficult one as he wants to play regular first team football, he is likely to stay put for another year at least I would think.}

Ed001 who is the alternative to mankind gabbadini if you don't mind me asking thanks.

{Ed001's Note - there are a couple of possibilities that I know of, one was Berahino. Another was Scott Hogan of Brentford. I would expect Steve Walsh to unearth someone from abroad though, to be honest, that I have not heard about. He has a totally different set of people he deals with than those I know within the game. Oh I do know Celtic's Dembele would be chased if he does become available, so you are watching and waiting to see on him. Oh and ex-Man Utd striker Javier Hernandez is another that is very possible.}
