How soon do you think before the media kicks off with things like;
Klopp says 'Get me John Stones'

Stones 'It would be my ambition to play under Jurgen Klopp'

Liverpool to make an offer Everton can't refuse for John Stones.

I reckon we've got about two weeks

Any one hear Danny Murphy on talk sport this morning. Talk about Arrogant and delusional. Evidently Mourinho was in the frame to manage Liverpool at the same time as Benitez was appointed and wanted the job so badly he only took the Chelsea job on the rebound.

1.) 05 Oct 2015 13:45:21
Haha, did he seriously say that? That's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

Wonder if Martin Atkinson had have known Brenda was getting sacked, would he have put so much effort into ensuring Liverpool didn't lose yesterday.

Surprise, Surprise, two out, and none in. Well done Bill, what's the excuse this time

GosportTrueBlue

1.) Yep every single time. Eds gone quiet hasn't he. {Ed025's Note - still here fighting the cause mudmud..

2.) Are all the late deals done by other clubs Kenwrights fault? FFS look how many deals get done late on the final day.Sometimes you have to wait until people become available or late bids come in for your saleable players to free the money to fund your own deals, Have you ever thought that's what's happened in EFC's case.

Roberto Martines 'We will come out of the transfer window stronger than it began'. HOW?

GosportTrueBlue

1.) I think roberto means he's getting all the players lifting bigger weights.haha

2.) Essentially if nobody is sold we have brought in players and not lost any other than Neville Mucha and Hitzelsberger therefore stronger.

Svenny

3.) Wait and see before you judge

4.) If you think about it, we could potentially be swapping the best of everton for the best of wigan. FFS. Wigan were relegated. #shambles

5.) 01 Sep 2013 17:16:19
Everton to sign Barry and James McCarthy Tommorow also hearing we will bring in a striker and lewis holtby

7.) Have faith. I think we may be pleasantly surprised

stewillow

8.) What a mess, only going to get worse from hear on in boys. Hold onto your seats.its going to be pretty shocking from now on.

9.) I agree, its messy.when the manager whines on about the window then now says he doesn't want to know about the transfers of players that may leave the club until they happen not a great sign.

Been a wehile since I've been on. Can I ask those Rooney family members that keep coming on this and every other site demanding that we bring him back. What exactly wil he bring? He's a busted flush at both Man U and England. We are trying to move forward, Why the hell would we want him back? He made his bed years ago. Once a Blue? don't make me laugh.

GosportTrueBlue

1.) 12 Oct 2016 22:55:39
In the words of the infamous song in Frozen 'Let it go, let it go'. In regards to Rooney leaving.

I'm not one of those 'demanding' as you put it to bring him back. But, if he were available I would certainly be in favour of him returning. Do you honestly think he wouldn't be in the running of a starting place?

Imho he would work very well in Barkley's position and would work very well with Lukaku. Even an alternative to Lukaku up front. Has still plenty to offer. Played at the very top for so long at the same club. Change could fresh in him up. You know what they say, a change is as good as a rest.

Look at Hart. Early days yet but the indication at this stage is the change of club has had a massive positive effect on him. Just look at his display the other night.

Possibly could be the same for Rooney. Don't care what anyone says. Everton is Rooney's number one club. Utd come second to him. Anyone that can't see that is still soar over him moving.

I was as annoyed as anyone when he left but no point holding a grudge against him.

2.) 13 Oct 2016 00:48:30
Not sure if we could afford him, his wages are astronomical verses our wage structure and presumably United would want some sort of fee for him. Having said that and realizing that he is past his best he is still a world recognized name. I would imagine that having him as a player would help to attract new recruits. It could happen but probably will not.

3.) 13 Oct 2016 18:07:51
What make you think Rooney wants to come back at this moment he said he wants to finish his career at everton I don't think he's finished yet.

4.) 13 Oct 2016 20:22:39
I don't care what people say I would have him bk in a heart beat and not for sentiment. but because he still has three or four good years left in him and now has a point to prove after being written off by United and England I really hope we get him.

5.) 13 Oct 2016 21:21:54
Me too shakey30. People say his wages would be a stumbling block. I'm not so sure it would. His demands for wages has bound to of come down. Can't see him leaving Utd this season. Next season he may be within our scope wages wise. Still has a couple of good seasons in him. Not to his usual high standard but still a pretty high standard in comparison to most.

6.) 14 Oct 2016 06:53:12
If the reports are right and United want to buy him out of his contract then he is on three hundred grand a week 18 months left witch is 72 weeks then that's about 21 million If he gets that I don't think he will be that bothered about a pay drop.
I hope our new owner puts his money were his mouth is an brings him home.

7.) 14 Oct 2016 07:16:30
I can well understand why Gosport states he/ she has not been on this site for a while.

8.) 14 Oct 2016 14:53:50
So we have him back when he is finished? ? No thanks.

9.) 14 Oct 2016 17:09:25
Skylark why is he finished he is 30 years old when his form returns who do we have who is better than him no one that's who.

10.) 14 Oct 2016 18:47:06
When he's finished he's 30 for Gods sake what a load of tripe is printed on here sometimes, GuernseyBlue, ps so Gareth must be knackered I ask you.

11.) 14 Oct 2016 19:47:03
So if he is not finished why would man utd sell him or pay him off to leave and why can't he get in the staring line up for man utd or England ? age has nothing to do with it don't forget he has been playing professional football at a high level from 16 and England started at 17 so yes in my eyes he is finished and Everton would be moving backwards not forward if we take him back this is not tripe but an opinion like yours.

12.) 14 Oct 2016 21:57:31
Skylark, using your logic. Barry was 17 when he started his first premiership appearance. So at 35 he is still contributing massively. I'm not saying Rooney will definitely still be playing in premiership when he is 35. This thing of he started earlier than everyone else therefore he will finish earlier than most doesn't add up. As I said look at Barry.

Every individual is different. I wouldn't give up on Rooney yet. He may be going through a bad patch. He had at least one before and pulled out of it with flying colours. Who's to say he won't do it again?

13.) 14 Oct 2016 22:40:52
I like Rooney and I would have loved him back at the club 2 years ago. However, getting him now reminds of when we got players like Ginola and Gascoigne.

We are past this type of signing. It isn't the same as Barry as the role is different. He's not sitting in and only running 10 yards forwards and back.

If we got him for nowt and he cut his wages by 90% I'd take him as cover and to sing his name one last time.

14.) 15 Oct 2016 06:00:52
He is no were near finished it's called a bad spell. When he is bk on form who do we have who is better we have no one better.
Lukaku went about 13 games without a goal does that mean he was finished.

06 Mar 2016 12:37:20
What is this fascination some on here have about bringing Rooney back? You have to be joking, he's past it, not only that but having taken the 30 pieces of silver to go down the East Lancs Road - I don't believe the conspiracy theorists that he left to save the club - I wouldn't have him back in any capacity.

Got to improve 2nd half. Tottenham giving us a lesson, moving the ball at pace - which when we do it we are very effective - need to get Miralles on for Kone, Jags on to steady back 4. Only problem is Martinez will have told them how 'phenominal' we have been and keep it the same.

28 Dec 2015 20:08:12
Sorry, but enough is enough, can't defend, can't (or won't) play a forward ball from free kicks, won't attack at pace (when we do we are very effective) ewe have an assistant manager who was a centre half, and both our centre backs go missing. I can see a mass exodus of the best bunch of players we have had for a long time because of the buffoon in charge. If you change our strip to Blue and White stripes we could be Wigan re-incarnate, and we know what happened there (just hope Tottenham don't do to us what they did to Wigan, I'm old enough to remember 10 - 4) . Time to call the Taxi Bill.

Wonder if any one else has noticed, but if Swansea win today, we are as much in the relegation fight as a top four (that's a joke) place. Is BK calling the shots at the moment, if not who. Martinez is a fraud whose loyalty to his favourites will totally ruin this team. We have a spine of extremely talented players who are capable of taking us to another level, but unfortunately some will not be given the chance. I can see an exodus in the summer. Martinez was the same at Wigan they couldn't defend either. What's the solution? Get rid of Martinez and replace with who? Bring back Moyes as short term - at least we would start defending -, or give the job to Dunc and Rhino with Joe Royle as the elder statesman. Need action fast.

1.) 20 Dec 2015 11:26:22
Trouble is the board are like the manager won't change s**t, oblivious to what everyone else can see.

2.) 20 Dec 2015 11:29:09
Need someone with some passion and good knowledge of defending. We have enough talent attacking wise RB calls them bench warmers.

Think Colemans injury has given Martinez a get out card to be able to bring Jags back and move Stones to right back. Be interesting to see what happens when Seamus is fit again.

How come once again the council roll over on their back with arms and legs in the air, whenever Liverpool want to improve Anfield (remember Kremlyn Road and Stanley Park), but ever since the 60's everytime we have wanted to expand Goodison the answer has always been NO.

GosportTrueBlue

{Ed025's Note - if AL is right GTB, i will take a new stadium any day mate..

Long time since I've posted. Before we all get excited about the Docks project, ask one question. Will the Council give permission for this, Walton Hall Park or even a re-development of Goodison. I wouldn't hold your breath. Everything we have wanted to do at Goodison has always had to be carried out within the Goodison 'footprint'. Council have fell over themselves time and time again for those across the park, but for Everton nothing. I've even heard that they still haven't given permission to tart up Goodison.

Media feeding frenzy over McCarthy's tackle, I don't remember the same about Dier's tackle on Cleverly. Selective eyesight comes to mind.

{Ed025's Note - injuries happen in football GTB, its part and parcel of the game, im sure no one goes out to deliberately injure another pro, unless your name is roy keane that is..

Totally agree Mushy, like Tedster I remember Howard's debut (He had a lot of pressure on him as he replaced Jimmy Gabriel, but came into his own the following season), he was a part of the finest Everton team it was my privilege to watch, without a doubt he kept us in the old 1st division in the early 70's, and then gave us those marvellous times in the 80's. The word legend is used too easily these days, but for Howard Kendall 'Everton Legend' is a fitting epitaph. Thanks for the memories Howard sleep well.
