Roma and Juve keeping an eye on besic? Doubt it. I don't rate the kid on what I've seen so far. Looks a bit of a liability tbh.

Grayzo

{Ed025's Note - i like him grayzo, a bit rash at times but gives 100% and is still only young..

In what way is he a liability? Gives his all, tackles well, he's 21 and has had the likes of bale and messi in his pocket. Easily motm in the derby for all (not that ibe fella), yet i'm guessing you rate the likes of barkley and baines?.

Leave the lad alone . great prospect in the making after his showing in his first season, more to come for sure .
Already a fans favourite , he'll be here for years.
Reminds me of Tony Kay in his younger days , lots of bite to compliment his obvious skills, his enthusism is second to none , just hope he reaches TK level

I'm a Besic fan. Don't think he's a liability either. He's committed true, but can't remember him being red carded. Feel he has been under used too this term just has Barry has been overplayed. Hopefully next season he, Besic will get a lot more game time. Barry certainly looks a better player when fresh.

Honestly I would be more worried that he would want to leave rather than us wanting to sell him. He's been absent from the lineup of late. Hopefully Martinez gives him a start or two to close out the year but I definitely rate him highly.

I think he's been great and the fact that he's been ommitted from the lineup since Barry's return, despite his acceptable performances, is shocking. He definitely needs to stop getting booked in the first 5 minutes of games, which is why I can see why you view him as a liability, but think he's got everything to be a great player.

R u mad gray :)

Just an add on to Cheshire Cats reply. Tony Kay wouldn't even have been spoken to for some of the cards Besic has picked up.It seems to me that because he goes in quick and whole hearted refs assume he must have fouled. He's got a long way to go to get to Kay's level but I tink he's more than capable.

Everyone seems so negative, it could all turn around just look at Newcastle/pardew. about 5 wins in 25 games and ready for the boot. then out of nowhere 6 wins on the trot beating Chelsea, then he's he best manager ever. wether it was a bit of luck who knows but anything can happen in this league so we should just support out club, manager and players no matter what! Things will change! Coyb.

Grayzo

1.) Well, at least we can contribute to Pardew's turnaround by letting the barcodes take the three points without too much effort in our next match.

2.) No it won't. In all their losses Newcastle tried. Notice the difference?

3.) My point lads. Chin up

4.) Thank you grayzo. Glad to see there are other evertonians out there who haven't given up on us just yet. Generally Newcastle are the type of side who cannot come back from behind. If we score first I think we win the game.

Atsu deal agreed 'in principle', David heenan to come then will that be us ready for the season boys?

Grayzo

1.) Don't think so mate they be at least 1 or 2 more signings

2.) If the youngsters who've been training and playing with the first team squad during preseason are deemed good enough by RM, then we probably won't bring in other transfers (permanent or loan) after Atsu (and hopefully Henen) - but if the youngsters don't measure up, then RM will surely bring in some experienced players and moves for those could take right up to the transfer deadline.

3.) 12 Aug 2014 19:07:27
I heard the same comment on the radio today whilst in the car. I'm not sure that I am confident the deal will be completed, why in principle and not just that he has been signed?

Hey guys, can someone explain to me how a new stadium helps us, I know the capacity will increase by 10,000, which doesn't seem that much, but what other things come into it? Training/sports facilities, better area, more expensive tickets, what other things are eh stadium used forand how much do we generate at the moment?

Grayzo

{Ed025's Note - its the corporate hospitality thats the big earner grayzo, the boxes and conference centre generate a lot of capital, add to that concerts etc and thats where the big bucks are mate..

1.) Tha liberty stadium generates more match day revenue than goodison and only holds 20500 capacity. All because it's got a greater corperate facility. That equal revenue with half the eats. So agree with Ed. The money is in the corporate operations.

2.) Toffee I never realised that. Swansea's Liberty Stadium (which I thought was too small once they'd built it and been promoted to the PL) generates more revenue than Goodison despite being half the size. This confirms the need to relocate. If the emerging stories are viable (barring resident opposition and finances) then this move MUST happen even though it will mean moving up the road to Walton Hall Park.
I just hope that after the disappointments in recent years re The King's Dock and Kirby, that something will actually happen this time and we will be able to move forward.
In a climate of financial uncertainty, Everton need to be able to compete with the big boys in the transfer windows. Gone are the days when we had to sell to survive so even though the move will upset the traditionalists, it is THE way forward if we are to move forwards into the next few seasons when the rich will get richer. We cannot afford to get left behind!
