Hi Ed (s) . I know you've mentioned it in detail in the podcast, but could just give a quick run-through of the potential ins-and-outs in January? The internet is so bad here that I can't access the podcast! Thank you.

HugoEFC

{Ed002's Note - I can only tell you where there has been interest and there is no guarantee that anything will come of that interest in January or the Summer. However:
Manolo Gabbiadini (last ditch attempt)
Sebastian Rudy
Sander Berge
Kasper Dolberg
Rafik Zekhnini
Rachid Ghezzal
Lamine Kone
Niklas Sule (won't happen)
Memphis Depay (Manchester United will look to sell and not loan Depay)
Sead Kolasinac (looking for a pre-contract)
Kevin Strootman (high risk - dumb move)
Josh Tymon
Ademola Lookman
Federico Santander

Out:
James McCarthy
Oumar Naisse
David Henen
Romelu Lukaku (Summer)
Liam Walsh

1.) 22 Dec 2016 11:37:29
The one that sticks out to me is kasper dolberg big striker only young though and the way koeman played at Southampton he had pelle up top GREAT TOUCH and put a Decent shift in.

2.) 22 Dec 2016 11:44:55
Liam Walsh? I thought he was looking the real deal?

3.) 22 Dec 2016 11:45:22
I would have expected to see Brahimi of Porto and Sneiderling on the list Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Porto are in talks with another side about Yacine Brahimi. West Brom have held discussions with Manchester United and put an offer on the table for Morgan Schneiderlin. I am not aware of any approach by Everton.}

4.) 22 Dec 2016 12:05:30
No Schneiderlin?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach by Everton - if they are interested then they need to better the offer from West Brom and a talk to Manchester United.}

5.) 22 Dec 2016 12:51:28
Thank you for that Ed002.

What about Schneiderlein? I know he wasn't mentioned in the podcast but what's the chances?

{Ed002's Note - About zero unless Everton make an approach and make a better offer than that already made. Maybe they will.}

6.) 22 Dec 2016 15:56:37
Would Walsh be loan or permanent. Thought he was making great progress.

{Ed002's Note - They are looking to send him on loan to a Championship side - offers from Bolton, Charlton and Yeovil were made and rejected for loans in the summer.}

7.) 22 Dec 2016 16:08:19
Why would we need to better the West Bromwich offer then it will be uo to the player to decide? can't see why united would decline a matching offer from us when we have had no previous issues dealing with them?

{Ed002's Note - Everton won't be aware of the details of the West Brom offer and if they plan on any childish games like that then best forget him and move on.}

8.) 22 Dec 2016 16:40:43
Thanks, ed. Could be an exciting January!

9.) 22 Dec 2016 18:29:06
Ed do u think we will use Walsh as loan option to try and get lookman from Charlton instead of loaning lookman back to Charlton till the end of season as for rest of are transfer targets I will believe it when I see them signed on dotted line after there underwhelming end to transfer deadline day in august.

{Ed002's Note - The two are separate matters.}

Any news on the reported links to Gabbiadini? Brahimi?

HugoEFC

{Ed025's Note - both very much on the radar hugo, if i had to choose it would be brahimi for me though mate but i would not be too gutted if gabbiadini put pen to paper mater..

1.) 29 Aug 2016 00:02:24
Brahimi for me aswell Ed think 1 more before Wednesday or 2 if someone goes.

{Ed025's Note - its great that since moshiri has been with us that we dont baulk at the prices lee, i believe that we can compete for the best players now mate and the future looks bright..

2.) 29 Aug 2016 08:14:20
Thanks as always, Ed. Do you know if its one or the other, or are both targets?

{Ed025's Note - they are both legitimate targets hugo but it will be one or the other mate..

3.) 29 Aug 2016 14:48:47
Would we not possibly sign both? Brahimi is that creative spark as an attacking midfielder and Gabbiadini plays striker or also wing so both would give different options. I could be wrong though.

4.) 29 Aug 2016 14:53:20
I hope Gabbiadini is just a smoke screen for something better. 20-25m for a guy who warms napoli's subs bench and scored 5 goals last season? I mean, what is it about him that people want exactly? Brahimi on the other hand is what we need. yes he's a bit of narcissist but we need an offensive player who shows no fear when taking a man on. Someone who wants the ball at his feet. He would be a statement signing and a potential difference maker on the field. Yes he's going to give the ball away because he takes more chances, but isn't that what ross did all game on saturday?

22 Aug 2016 18:14:58
Ghezzal turned us down in lieu of a new contract at Lyon. Good luck to him.

HugoEFC

1.) 22 Aug 2016 18:45:20
Hence the move for the porto player i think o well his loss.

21 Aug 2016 23:42:05
Reports from Algeria and France stating Ghezzal on the verge of signing for the club.

HugoEFC

1.) 22 Aug 2016 01:31:06
sounds like it could b a good signing, but surely that means we wouldn't need brahimi as well.

2.) 22 Aug 2016 06:33:40
You would think it would be one or other, although Brahimi plays anywhere across the front from what I understand.
Only about 10 more days to go.

Hi Ed. Are we looking to tie up any deals for players on pre-contract agreements?

HugoEFC

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware Hugo.}

Hate how toxic Goodison's become. Havent been in a while because i don't live in the UK anymore, but Christ, thought we were better than that.

HugoEFC

1.) 07 Jan 2017 18:43:04
Your right hugo, goodison was toxic today and even when we went a goal in front I still had a funny feeling we was going to lose - no fight at all. I will say it again wrong manager don't care what they say.

Very happy about what was said at the AGM last night, but so sad for Bolasie, I hope he isn't out for the year. Massive blow!

Saying we've got cover for when Lukaku leaves in Kone and Niasse is like saying it doesn't matter if you crash your Ferrari because you've got a Nissan in the garage

£10.4 million, Phil McNulty, bbc reporter.

HugoEFC

{Ed002's Note - The price is in euros and not GBP and the third-party who is involved will take a percentage on top - perhaps McNulty should share information in the correct currency?}

Could be a steal for the quoted price then?

HugoEFC

{Ed002's Note - What "quoted" [rice would that be?}

Do you rate Belfodil, Ed? Hadnt even heard of him.

HugoEFC

{Ed001's Note - he was a standout in the UAE Gulf League, but the standard is not the highest. Looks to be maturing into a very good footballer, but I have not seen enough of him in Europe to see how he gets on against a better level of player though.}
