Alan Myers via Sky now saying Galtier ex Lille - just won league with them - is on EFC radar. The piece makes him sound good but I'm not familiar with him or the French league. Anyone else know more about him?

Nice. I'm not sure how true that is though or if it was from a credible source. All a guessing game at the moment as we don't know who the club have targeted apart from Nuno Espirito Santo. The waiting game continues.

According to Brighton fans on twitter a couple of local reporters have rubbishd the potter to Everton links and they say they are respected journos for Brighton news. The longer it goes on the more worried I get that we will end up giving it to Dunc and as much as I love the guy he isn't ready to manage our great club.

I’d rather we sold loads of the deadwood and buy one or two this season. Last season was shocking re transfer business. Just buying players it seemed with no strategy or plan. Also ended up paying well over the odds for some. For example Sigurdsson £45M and 150K a week. He’s good on his day but 29 I think no resale value and not worth that kind of money or wages. That Sandro apparently on 100K a week. Mirallas 70 ish. It’s ridiculous. Need to realise at moment we’re 7th all day and without a proper plan and just scatter gun approach we’ll become a laughing stock soon. If not already. Time for patience from all concerned. I started going the match with my arl fella in 70s when Ipswich were turning us over 4-0 at home. He always said our time will come. It did. Mid 1980s. Everyone needs to just settle in! Rant over! Enjoy the World Cup and let people paid more than us worry about EFC transfer policy!

I think so too. We’re in a right mess at the moment and it’s difficult to see where next positive result is going to come from. We have to be realistic. So called top managers want champs league. Someone like Marco Silva of Watford promising but only just joined them. Also it’s a big test for any manager to turn us around without no established experienced striker until Jan. DCL ok but he’s 20. So for me Sean Dyche looks like the pragmatic best option is troubled times for our beloved EFC.

Yep that still just the one win in last 44 away games to a top six team. Shocking stat that needs changing ASAP.

Whole team were pretty awful that second half against a decent spurs team ageeed but i expected more fight.

But we’re led to believe by media that Walsh is the one pushing for Allardyce and Shakespeare from the off in Moshri’s ear. Maybe nonsense. Maybe true. I honestly would like to know the remit of Walsh’s job.

Walsh should have been sacked with Koeman. No replacement for Lukaku. If we waited until we had a replacement we probably could have got 100M plus for Lukaku as he transfer window became silly after Neymar sale - see next point and Sigurdsson price. We didn’t need three number 10s. One is a blue but past his best. Sentimental but he’s on 140-150k a week allegedly. Second is from Dutch league and looks at best like needs a season to adjust in a team doing well at worst completely out of his depth and will never make it. Third was a decent player but paid twice as much as we should have done. oh in case anyone forgot we’ve got a boyhood blue who is prob better with more potential than all three but Koeman shattered his confidence. We’ve got Luke Garbutt but not registered to play for first team so no Left back cover. Sandro never a number nine to replace Lukaku. Keane looking very ropey this season. Hopefully just confidence. Pickford looks good. I could go on but you get the drift. What exactly is our director of football on 1M a year allegedly directing!
He recommends Allardyce and Shakespeare as the dream team to the board. Oh an by the way he goes on holiday with Shakespeare. Nepotism. Job for his mates at EFC. It’s a farce in my opinion. Rant over!

Few fellas at game today were convinced deals are done for Dyche to us, Allardyce to Burnley and Moyes to West Ham during international break. Time will tell .
