We were never going down look at the last game 4-0 v West Ham Allardyce wangled an extra 12 months (6 million) he is a mercenary and before you say the same about Silva he will stay for a few years because of the PROJECT that's why he waited 6 months to come to us I like most Evertonians who go are enjoying the football he wants us to play look at the signings Richarlison Bernard Dina Gomez and Zuma on loan.

Surely as Evertonians we should be backing him. Its as though some people WANT to see him fail so they can say i told you so. I honestly think we're on the way back and at the end of the day were all in in this together as Evertonians.

I think give the option SA would still be at the club hardly a mercenary as far as I am aware he's never quite a club just for cash. I also hope Silva gets the time he needs to really have a go at developing the squad both in attack but especially defence.

2.) 22 Oct 2018 00:12:34
I agree given the chance SA would still be here, thankfully he wasn’t given the chance! 😉.

20 Jul 2018 21:00:31
It's 35 million for Richarlison with 15 million in add-ons like if we win the Champions League FA Cup or Premier League so it's just 35 million then!

Lanno58

{Ed025's Note - love it lanno..

1.) 22 Jul 2018 20:19:15
At the beginning of the season Richarlison looked the real deal but then he and a number of other players lost form along with Silva losing consistency. Watford blamed us, personally I thought that a load of Bull, a professional Coach/ Manager/ player at this level should be able to do their job comensurate with the huge wages they draw. 35 Million seems overpriced to me.

Delph is another Gareth Barry without hair! comfortable in the ball always available sees a pass. At 8m if we get 3/ 4years out of him like we did with Barry will people be moaning then?

Lanno58

1.) 13 Jul 2019 11:48:30
Lol sorry but Barry was much better than Delph.

2.) 13 Jul 2019 13:29:18
Where does anyone think delph fits in the team? If gueye stays, then he isn't going to get a game, there's not a place in the team for him.

{Ed002's Note - And what if Gueye leaves? That is the thought process at the club. Get some extra cash in - buy more, many more, LWs.}}

3.) 13 Jul 2019 14:03:57
Do you think it likely that PSG will get their man in regards to Gana Ed? It seems clear the player fancies it, if he does go, it would leave us with a huge hole to fill and a dwindling transfer window.

{Ed002's Note - They will make an offer and Gueye will go if he can.}

4.) 13 Jul 2019 14:23:29
If Gueye wants to go to PSG then we need to find a solution. That will be 2 windows that he has said he wants to go to PSG. We need to be realistic and wonder where his mind would be next season if he’s denied his chance to play for them a second time.

I want him to stay but PSGs pursuit of him will be no different from our pursuit of our targets.

I would expect more than the figure reported if it’s true, and it will reflect a good profit.

5.) 13 Jul 2019 14:10:58
All the left wingers Ed 😂.

6.) 13 Jul 2019 14:58:46
I didn't know Delph was a left winger? Would he get into my team ahead of Scheiderlin, McCarthy or Besic? Every time - he will be great cover for Gueye or Gomes injury/ suspension.

He also brings leadership and knowledge on how to win to a side that last season didn't have any leaders. I don't understand what the problem is?

7.) 13 Jul 2019 19:06:58
I think Delph will be a starter either way because he's too good for the bench.

8.) 13 Jul 2019 20:43:24
I cannot believe that anyone can compare Delf to Barry, a fit Delf is twice the player Barry ever was, nore in the Ried class, in my view.

9.) 13 Jul 2019 21:12:25
Agree 100% Shakey39. If he can stay fit I think he’ll turn out to be an excellent signing 👍🏻.

11 Jul 2019 17:36:05
Why not try and sign Zaha? Proven in the premier, he alongside Bernard and Richarlison would be scary with Gylfi just behind. I know they're talking 70/ 80m but I know they are interested in Lookman (20+ m) also they were linked to Tosun (15m) and James McCarthy (10m) suddenly the price doesn't look as daunting! Think the lads a match winner, always has a good game against Liverpool.

Lanno58

{Ed025's Note - we have to prioritize lanno and another winger is not what we need imo mate, we need zouma and a slotter first..

1.) 11 Jul 2019 21:30:41
If we were going to do that we may aswell pay 50 mill for Aubameyang. He will get 15-20 a season, Zaha never got close to those numbers.

2.) 12 Jul 2019 08:56:00
Big if Ed, everyone has a price but lose Gueye, don't get Zouma (and looking increasingly like a no) then surely we are weaker instead of stronger. I like Brands, he should be allowed to do his job.

{Ed025's Note - he has done very well up to now BCT so i have no reason to doubt him mate, but i suppose we will have to see how things pan out..

12 Mar 2019 17:16:37
Pickford is too arrogant, too complacent he needs competition. stekelenburg is way past his best what about a keeper who 18 months ago was England's number one get him for 15 to 20 million. Jack Butland, now that would be competition let the two of them fight it out to be Everton's number one.

Lanno58

1.) 12 Mar 2019 17:57:04
Would definitely take Butland, earlier this season we were 1-0 at home. Pickford was at fsult for the goal, he wslked of the pitch laughing, terrible attitude on him.

2.) 12 Mar 2019 19:17:53
I like Butland but he's definitely gone off the boil a bit.
What about either of the Burnley keepers, heaton or Pope.

3.) 12 Mar 2019 19:48:33
There's a good write up on the BBC web page about Pickford and his England chances.

4.) 13 Mar 2019 10:53:49
Thanks for that yes read it very good.

5.) 13 Mar 2019 12:16:51
Hi, mate it just proves that the fans on here were right.

14 Oct 2018 17:55:15
Big Sam would fly in Friday from his villa in Spain and ask little Sam what's been happening. Silva is into EVERYTHING the players are doing every second in training as supporters WHO do you prefer?

Lanno58

1.) 14 Oct 2018 18:55:15
Totally agree Lanno mate, chalk and cheese eh.

2.) 16 Oct 2018 17:20:13
Sam not here long enough to judge but was condemned before he started. He kept us up we finished 7th.
Silva has achieved nothing, has been here 5 mins but you love him. let's see if he can succeed and not walk out if something else he fancied comes along.
Why are people so quick to judge?
Silva not my choice and can only judge his previous record, I hope he does well but so far it is to early to form an opinion on him. To give a true opinion of him let's wait till xmas 2019.If he is doing well, will he then stay at the end of that season? To many questions for him to answer to judge
him.

3.) 16 Oct 2018 17:45:09
Sam was here far tooooooo long for me mate.

4.) 16 Oct 2018 20:37:29
Dark clouds, why not judge Silva on what he is doing with our team rather than his record with others? Are we playing more attractive, attacking football so far? The answer is undoubtedly yes, we have more shots in one half than we would see in four games under Sam.
You can say Sam kept us up all you like, the truth of the matter is that no team in the history of the premier league has been relegated in November. Any manager could have kept us in the league without having to endure the dross that SA served up. I gave up my season ticket at the end of the season because the enjoyment of matchday had diminished under that man.
Sure, it is too early to judge Silva but at least admit that we are looking better on the pitch than we have in quite a while. There are teething problems, notably from set pieces, but they will, hopefully, be rectified in time.

{Ed025's Note - rome was not built in a day potato, but if everton supporters were on the job then maybe it would have been mate..

5.) 16 Oct 2018 21:18:55
I fear you're right there ed025, pesky microwave generation!

{Ed025's Note - your right there potato, its a new era and this is the beginning of something really good i believe, the football is entertaining and the recruitment has been excellent so why people are having a moan is beyond me mate..

14 Oct 2018 17:15:20
To those so called supporters who want Marco out after 8 games yes EIGHT games maybe the following will be of interest. In open play this season Everton have scored no less than 10 goals.
That total has only been surpassed by Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea which is no bad company to be in. Surely supporters can see he IS getting it right but he needs time. To those who say he won't stay around long remember he was sacked last November by Watford but waited till June to come to us (despite offers during this period) I'm sure. He'll stay for at least the next 2/ 3 years given the chance! he's 40 has great ideas about how the game should be played. Is in the players ear every second in training and is massively abitious for EVERTON to achieve something special. So to the doom mongers id.

Lanno58

1.) 14 Oct 2018 20:58:48
That time of the month eh lanno 😂😂😂.

2.) 14 Oct 2018 22:10:57
Are there really supporters who don't want him? Really? We are are surely back on the trail again. At least I think so. And many will tell you I was the most negative of the negatives. Trust me. We are on the way up again. This manager is signing players of real quality. The problem he has is that we signed such rubbish over the last 6 years so he has to sort all that out first. hence Williams, Martina and others being released/ sent out on loan.

3.) 14 Oct 2018 22:27:04
I am still on the fence with Silva until I see some improvement with the defence - leaking far too many goals and yes 8 games in but I would love to see some more clean sheets. attack wise we are creating plenty just need to tighten up at the back.

4.) 15 Oct 2018 12:42:36
Yes we are definitely improving. However we need to be more consistent over 90 minutes. We seemed lethargic against West Ham and for the first 45 minutes against Fulham. Then much improved for the second half verses Fulham and pretty well for the whole 90 minutes against Leicester. At times it seems like a different team is out there, no doubt Silva will be working on this aspect.

5.) 15 Oct 2018 19:51:24
7 posts in 2 days. Things must be going well. Think back to last season and how many posts there were over 2 days. We are going in the right direction with the right people in charge. Be happy at that for now.

{Ed025's Note - well i certainly am nick..

Saw this article apparently we have a hundred million to spend in the summer and maybe even more. Apparently money is no object. Moshiri is not a mega billionaire unlike Usmanov whose name keeps cropping up he can't get a look in at Arsenal despite the money he's invested and must be envious of the way Evertonians have taken to Moshiri so Alisher why not join your mate Farhad up here at Everton I think I can safely say on behalf of all Blues youd be more than welcome!

Played really well today didn't deserve that. However took the game to them and another really good performance following on from Arsenal Utd and Chelsea. Before people say it's only 1 point from 12 it's the performance and how we TRIED to win the game that matters. I remember people criticising Marco after 5 games. Have always said judge us AFTER Christmas.

We will reverse these results against the so called big teams when we play them at home. People are sitting up and taking notice of us and so they should be. We're playing great attacking football with a fantastic young manager. My sadness tonight is outweighed by the excitement I feel knowing my team is back even Kopites are admitting (However grudgingly) Pessimism is an Evertonians default setting, but I'm telling you good times ARE coming.

Please help I work with a deluded Liverpoolian (who in August said they'd win the league but decided now it could be next year! ) and an Arsenal supporter (I know I should be paid more for working with these 2) they think Jordan Pickford is now worth 31 million and wait for it richarlison is worth 40 million what do people think of their impartial unbiased valuations?

The way Lookman beat 4 players in the space of 2 yds was one of the best pieces of skill I've seen all season on the other hand Walcott's woeful control from a brilliant Sigurdsson pass was one of the worst. It's time to get Adi in the team two or three games sitting on the bench won't do Theo any harm at all. Marco is a top manager in the making I'm sure he won't shy away from this decision now just the centre backs to try and fit in!

Regarding Usmanov coming its not old news this will obviously happen despite Kopites hateing the thought. Why would he go to the Italian league? There's no money in it for him. The prems the only place to be for someone like Usmanov (world coverage, advertising etc) He's actually said Everton aren't where they should be, why would he say that? He's said he's open to helping his friend Farhad. Tell me another club he's made several comments about.

You can't because he hasn't (apart from saying he's not interested) Sponsoring Finch Farm selling his shares in Arsenal wanting to get involved with a Prem team again. Moshiris business partner suddenly an expert in Everton's history. The clues are all there. Look at the change with 1 billionaire wait till we've got 2!

Keane was 25M with add ons like an extra 5M when we win the Champions League! Might'nt need to pay that for a while! Plus he's 24 and Mee is 28 also they've replaced him with Tarkowski who's since been capped for England hence my 15M valuation.
