Knocked us out of the top half, but well done Brighton.

Sorry, I know this is just a silly thought bubble and I am happy for one of the Eds to tell me to pull my head in, could the true reason Du is staying be that Big Sam is on his was out the door?
Posting a bit lately, sorry about that. Work is a little quiet so I am a little bored and frustrated.
{Ed001's Note - no, he just wasn't getting the job at Oxford. They decided against him.}
1.) 08 Feb 2018 08:28:14
Thanks Ed, thought that was the case.
{Ed001's Note - I doubt he will get a job outside of the area as a first step to be honest. Who is going to believe he would be as committed as you need to be when they know his missus is never going to want the move? It was a long time ago, but people in football do not forget the quick jump from Villa to go home!}

Ed001: wasn’t it a move back north from West Ham that he wanted (because his wife hadn’t settled in London) and their manager (Harry Redknapp) couldn’t believe it when he went to Aston Villa! Unsy quickly (without ever playing for Villa? ) then moved back to Everton.
{Ed001's Note - yes. He was at Villa for just 4 days if I remember correctly. He only went to Villa because Everton showed no interest prior to him moving. Probably just a miscommunication or an attempt to drive down the price on Everton's part which saw him just take the closest club he could get to home. It really was the most bizarre and surreal set of transfers.}

Oxford get Unsworth, and we are stuck with Sam.
Good luck to DU, I hope he is very successful.

Best wishes to Rhino, this job could be the beginning of his journey back to his beloved blues.

New we would lose du once you get the bug of been manager of senior team it's hard to go back to u23 s.

His wife does realise that Oxford is even further away than Birmingham?

That Pickford and Williams incident was sickening to watch. Just happy that Pickford recovered, but commenting as a very ordinary keeper myself, it showed Pickford's lack of confidence in Williams.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Koeman have a terrible start with Southampton one season, turning it all around by beating us and going on to claim a spot in Europe.
I think he and the team need the time and space to develop and find their way, not all this negativity. I'm sure some players buy into this negativity and it impacts on the team spirit.

I totally agree Mannoblue, after the expectations and posativity at the beginning of the season it seems that most, on here anyway, thinks RK has lost the plot. Even the some guys that started the season saying it would not be easy to integrate so many new players into the team or that this was a two to three season project seemed to have jumped on the get rid band wagon. Negativity breeds negativity, which is not what we need at the moment. Yes we are not playing well but its still only October, RK can do better as can the players. It is too early in the season too contemplate a relegation battle yet a lot of you have us relegated already. Its also nice to see so many willing to waste other peoples money. Rant over and to finish on a positive note we are the only team this season to have taken points from Man City so we can complete with the best when in form.

I would love to see Mirallas down here in the A-League. I think he would do well, he would definitely score goals.
07 Aug 2018 00:33:12
Does that mean Lookman will be sold?
05 Apr 2018 12:21:39
Why not? Same money, less stress, less responsibilty. Still reasonably close to home.

Sorry wakka. While I am not overly happy with Martina, I would prefer him over Evra. I would have preferred Garbutt and Galloway to be given the opportunity to fight it out, the competition between the two may have brought out the best in both players, but we will never know. Big Sam is too scared to experiment too much, and I can not blame him for that. He was hired to keep us in the PL, nothing more and nothing less.
07 Feb 2018 03:22:58
Hopefully West Ham sign him.

I am with Ed, I thought Unsworth was progressing and soughting the team out.
08 Feb 2018 21:23:35
No thanks Geof, the Socceroos have a manager now. He wasn't the first choice, but he will do fine. Actually the first choice, Graham Arnold might even be a good fit for us. Strategically very good, great team builder, not afraid of building and using youth. Tim Cahill is a big fan us his as well. Just no PL experience.

Thanks Ed, thought that was the case.

I would love to see Henen get some first team playing time before the end of the season. I was hoping that DU would have given him some time, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Howe would come. He is a childhood Evertonian isn't he?
