Seems to be gathering pace rumours that Moshiri's Arsenal friend Alisher Usmanov is looking to join him at us, rumours saying before Christmas
Not sure what truth is in it but seems to be quite a bit of talk.

It only takes one person to start a rumour and then social media takes over and people think there has to some truth to it. Sure, there's a lot of talk, but it's just repeats of the same original story and not lots of independently-sourced or researched or informed opinion.

Hope so. there's only 1 thing better than 1 billionaire backer and that's 2 :) makes you wonder what's going on at arsenal tho if its true.

Nothing going on at Arsenal. Usmanov has made no secret that he wants to be a majority share holder and take over Kroenke but Kroenke is not interested in that.
The link with us and our own majority share holder is very much a putting two and two together rumour or suggestion it is certainly not anything remotely concrete. First he would have to sell his stake in Arsenal, easier said than done. Then he would actually have to be interested in being the majority share holder at us. Again nothing has ever suggested that this is even a remote area of interest to him.
It's a rumour like the Holtby ones, Holtby is an Everton fan therefore we must be interested. Moshiri and Usmanov have worked together and held shares at Arsenal at the same time therefore they must be interested in doing that Everton! It's not unicorns but it is 100%, unsubstantiated.

Power struggle for years at that club that's why Moshiri wanted out, so although highly unlikely to happen it you never know, stranger things have happened in football.

Seriously? He was the best player in the Championship last season and is 15x better than Alcaraz. Why won't anyone at Everton give him a chance?!

2.) We need one now IMO whether a signing or someone stepping up. That gap could be filled by besic or browning but there will undoubtedly be a call for another cb with ageing Distin, jags and ageing/ useless alcaraz
3.) He will be trusting jags and distin for the short term future with stones and Galloway waiting to step in when ready. Imo any money brought in needs investing on the wings

Heard from people who have seen him for the under 21s and in training that he is awful on the ball, showed no hunger to try and improve it, which worried martinez, he is also evidently, very very slow, he's found his level I think ab, tells a lot blackburn were the only club to try and get him
5.) Why don't we try to tempt Derek mountfield out of retirement I'm certain he would be a better alternative to Alcatraz

6.) He never looked comfortable enough on the ball for a Moyes team never mind a Martinez one! Sometimes it just doesn't work out for a player. He may well play in the prem at some point but never at our level!

Is it true the reds have bid for lukaku ed? Surely lose out with them having champions league, hope they haven't

I doubt mourinho would sell to them, as it is a direct rival, yes he sold mata to man u but knew moyes would play him out of position, unfortunately, he isn't there anymore and I don't think mourinho expected them to sack him so soon, I doubt liverpool want lukaku and I doubt mourinho would sell to liverpool, thankfully nosferatu has gone (not shelvey) so they undoubtably need a new striker, bony not only suites their style more, but would be cheaper as swansea are not a rival and rodgers is likely close to swansea still, so that makes more sense, they got moses on loan just so we didn't get him, i'm sure rodgers isn't foolish enough to spend over 25m on a player just so we don't get him
2.) We are in discussion at the minute to buy outright but Chelsea want a loan deal & we dont. Tuesday

1.) There is nothing anywhere about Bony to Everton so this is utter rubbish in my opinion. though I wish it were true

With Stones an Lukaku on the verge of moves anyone feel we'd of kept them had we signed 1 or 2 marquee signings?
I know the new money's went to everyone's head presuming we'd spend spend spend and we also don't have European football which affects it but it would have helped
Looks like we have the defender situation under control with Williams coming in an maybe another but any idea what strikers were looking at to replace Lukaku IF he leaves (obviously not left just yet) ?

Surely if the deal was complete somehow some news would have been leaked taking how easy it is for someone to whisper to the papers given how big the news is really?
