When will people get their heads round the fact there might not be anymore signings? Just because we have money does not mean we will be able to spend it, players just don't see us as a option anymore thanks to Martinez thoughts Ed?

Oxford toffee

{Ed025's Note - i think we will sign at least a couple oxford, its not that they dont see us an option though mate, its because with the sky money all prem clubs are looking to spend big and are offering silly fees and wages for players who would have been classed as average not so long back..

1.) 23 Jul 2016 19:48:51
Agree with Ed on both points. Can't believe the amount some players are going for and the wages they are asking for. Unfortunately this is the environment we are in though. If everyone around us are paying higher wages then we will be left behind.

2.) 23 Jul 2016 20:02:16
Your a massive bundle of happiness tonight mate, ye need a hug.

3.) 23 Jul 2016 20:16:07
Don't worry our new DoF will bring in some gems, we don't need overpaid sulky players who have a high opinion of themselves and then fail to deliver. We have enough of those already. Steve Walsh has a reputation of looking for players with passion and character.

4.) 23 Jul 2016 22:07:05
Bluemike, the only problem is that it isn't likely to be this window (or even the next couple) before we see the full benefit of Walsh.

5.) 23 Jul 2016 22:33:55
Maybe so Cropper but Steve has not suddenly lost all the knowledge he had on players when he worked for Leicester. Maybe Koeman's needs are different than Leicester's and he may still identify some gems this window that Leicester did not need.

6.) 24 Jul 2016 10:19:27
The best thing that could happen is that people stop believing every bit of rubbish that appears on the net and in papers. Most of it is just journalists filling column space.

Just heard the bad news on besic, he, s out for 6 months, was really hoping he would be a big part of our team this season. well all the best mate and hope to see you back soon. I hope Koeman will now bring another cm, in to replace him.

Oxford toffee

1.) 05 Aug 2016 11:46:11
It's time to move him on - he's the new Norman Whiteside, injured all the time, not his fault I know and I feel sorry for the lad but we need squad players that are fit to play consistently.

2.) 05 Aug 2016 11:56:30
Hope Mo doesn't read your post Soli. He's a young lad who seems to love the club. Needs a bit of support at the moment.

3.) 05 Aug 2016 13:10:59
Agreed Tedster - he does need our support and shows a lot of passion towards efc. but ask yourself the question - what has he offered the club in the 2 seasons he's been here, how many dominant man of the match awards has he accrued? How many goals has he scored? . don't get me wrong, I like the lad but the likes of him and Gibson constantly injured are not offering much to our team. I see some people on here saying he's the next Tim Cahill - I think that's very disrespectful to Tim Cahill a true club legend for the right reasons.

4.) 05 Aug 2016 13:36:08
Hear what you say Soli. Think at his age it's too early to look at moving him on though.
I'm sure Koeman has quickly seen those at club who need to be shipped out and will be ruthless enough to make decisions in the club's best interests.

04 Aug 2016 15:58:04
I have a feeling Koeman might go back to Southampton for goalkeeper Fraser Forster, yes I know he has just signed a new deal, but that means nothing these days. I might be wrong but it's just a hunch.

Oxford toffee

1.) 04 Aug 2016 19:36:29
Hope so Oxford!

02 Aug 2016 07:06:49
I have put in some bad posts recently, that I, m sorry but there is a reason for this, - I have just lost my beloved mother aka (mother toffee) she loved the club and it's fantastic fans and one of her last wishes was to see us win something, so come on boy, s let's roar our club to glory and give Koeman and co the backing thay need. if Leicester can do it then so can we, let, s do it for MOTHER TOFFEE rip mum and god bless you all.

1.) 02 Aug 2016 07:29:36
I mentioned you as a negative person above before reading this. Sorry to hear that mate. Hope you're okay.

2.) 02 Aug 2016 07:49:50
You have been a miserable sod Ox but that's a damn good reason fella, condolences, squad numbers delayed so hopefully some good news to cheer you up soon, unless they have been delayed as we are freeing up a couple :)

3.) 02 Aug 2016 08:52:32
Strangely, Oxford Toffee. yesterday when I was getting some insulting posts, I actually thought to myself, "these people have no idea wht is going on in other people's lives. They accuse people of being miserable. Some people may have a reason for that. other than Everton. My thoughts are with you mate.

I myself are quite cheery. Everton aside. my misery is all Everton based.

4.) 02 Aug 2016 09:13:29
So sorry to hear your sad news mate. At these times its important to keep your family close, and i'm sure your Mother too would have told you too. Remember there's no better families than your own and the Everton Family. Condolences to you all, RIP.

5.) 02 Aug 2016 11:28:56
Thank you all so much for your comments so very much appreciated. over to you Koeman and the boys, let, s create history for Mother toffee.

I, m getting sick and tired of our slapdash way of doing business if it was any other club that would get it done no matter what. now the villa man is not coming this getting beyond a joke if we don't get any body else in by the end of the window then we will make last season's villa side look like supermen! The only business done will be lakaku and stones out. we are pathetic and embarrassing, now PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE.

Oxford toffee

{Ed002's Note - Craving the knee-jerk buy eh!.}

1.) 01 Aug 2016 21:42:26
Oxford are you allways sooooo negative. Think ill start scrolling past your posts soon. They are getting depressing. Give it til the end of the week and i think you will be proven wrong ;)

2.) 01 Aug 2016 21:45:48
Exactly Ed002. It depresses me coming on here. I used to always enjoy coming on here because I really like my football and its my favourite past time. But lately the supporters on here craving the knee jerk buys as Ed002 rightly puts it are making me depressed.

For my own sanity I may have to take a break for a couple of days. I'm absolutely delighted with Koeman and Walsh. It seems all people care about is spending 10's of millions on big names. I'd be more concerned about the long term future of the club which has improved dramatically over the last few months.

It seems no matter what happens some supporters will always have plenty to give out about.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 21:49:46
Oxford, you seriously need to chill. We will be fine, faith in sw and rk and whoever they pick to play for our mighty blues.

4.) 01 Aug 2016 21:52:25
Is the villa guy not coming? The same sources that said he was going to west ham are now saying we will confirm him within the next 48 hours. As always, they are doing this to sell papers/ gain clicks. The worst thing we have done is allowed the 100m quote out. Not because people know now we have money (people aren't idiots, they don't need us to tell them that with the new TV money and a new backer) but because now our fans now want us to go out and splash the cash on any player what so ever.

31 Jul 2016 14:31:18
The reason I pray Koeman does not bring any outfield players in the ist, team is that I have to be slaughtered in public by a reds fan. that is the bet I was forced to make I hope you all enjoy a good season.

Oxford toffee

1.) 31 Jul 2016 15:39:34
That was a silly bet. He is bound to bring some in. We are short in so many places.

2.) 31 Jul 2016 16:27:42
Degsy I was forced to make it. It comes down to this, what is more important - Everton signings or my life? Good luck mate.

3.) 31 Jul 2016 17:29:04
everton signings are more important haha do you agree ed 25.

{Ed025's Note - they are bretto.. :)

Jlmcr5, I agree with your point, but I'm sure we will get a couple of players in before the window closes, we just have to get behind whoever is wearing the blue shirt.
