Hiya Ed,

Seems Roberto Martinez is on his way from peoples suggestions throughout social networks, so I was wondering if there are any people in the frame to take up the mantle next.

I remember someone mentioning Lucien Favre a bit back, but is there anyone else? Cheers.

QatariBlue

{Ed025's Note - nothing as i can see suggests he is going anywhere yet QB, there will be meetings where his future will be discussed but i would not put any money on that being very soon mate..

1.) 24 Apr 2016 08:35:51
I reluctantly have to concur Ed.

However my instincts and perhaps perceptions kinda point to 'money talks' a little bit!

I'm certainly not smart enough to make a billion quid etc.
However if I did own that sum, I wouldn't throw it away on a proven PL failure!

{Ed025's Note - im sure moshiri wont want to lose money 247 and have faith that he will stop the rot and replace bobby, how soon that will be is anyones guess mate..

2.) 24 Apr 2016 10:11:08
Well that's a shame Ed. It would typify Everton and Bill Kenwright if we don't get rid of him. I just seen his post match presser saying "The last three years, we haven't been spending any money. "

He always finds an excuse, and that's another thing I can't stand. Should just be front about it. kinell.

And what's worse is we've had a NET Spend of 50 Million Pounds. as in with players we've bought and sold, we've spent 50 million in 2 seasons. He talks such crap.

4.) 24 Apr 2016 10:55:05
What you forget though is those players he has bought, if they would be sold would effectively mean we would once again be in profit and not spent anything.

5.) 24 Apr 2016 12:26:07
I have always said it and got slag, But Bill sold his train set but is still playing with it, he has to go, we had investors in the past but they puled out because of Bills conditions.

6.) 24 Apr 2016 13:34:24
Reading the FA file on agents fees yesterday, I suppose you can understand Bill's reluctance to let RM go. According to the FA, EFC spent GB471K last year on agents - whereas top spender MU flashed GB10M. So once again, we are bottom. Curiously, am I looking at a connection at something? Are top players really pushed out way at all? Anyways, why would Bill be motivated to change a spendthrift? Net GB50M over a season or two is pocket money in the fat cow that is the EPL.

Read Austin isn't in the squad for QPR? Any chance for us Ed, or is he going to Spurs?

QatariBlue

{Ed025's Note - were definitely in the frame QB..

1.) 12 Aug 2015 00:07:05
He was quoted saying he doesn't want to leave London for family reasons but money talks I guess.

2.) 12 Aug 2015 02:23:37
Spurs is favorite.

3.) 12 Aug 2015 09:36:48
Can't see Everton paying out that much money on another striker. Got a feeling that Hernandez will go to spurs and west ham will grab Austin

4.) 12 Aug 2015 15:28:01
Okay cheers ed. Hope we get someone in. I know Lennon seems done, but need that CB and Striker back up.

11 Aug 2015 14:01:55
Any transfer rumours Ed?

QatariBlue

{Ed025's Note - please read the previous posts mate as i have answered that mate..

1.) 11 Aug 2015 18:56:32
Will do, Cheers mate.

09 Aug 2015 00:24:49
I reckon Eds heard something these past few hours? Go 'ed la. Any legit transfer movement?

QatariBlue

{Ed025's Note - i wish mate..

1.) 10 Aug 2015 00:31:36
Well, that was anticlimatic to say the least haha. And Shaqiri looks set for Stoke. Gutted.

04 Aug 2015 01:59:44
Ive seen Charlie Austins name on twitter linked to us, and apparently Snods was in Blackburn watching Rhodes.

Also, does anyone know anything about this business of us getting a porto player a car or something?

QatariBlue

1.) 04 Aug 2015 08:07:24
The Porto striker isn't aboubakar is it? Just know the name, heard nothing about a potential transfer

2.) 04 Aug 2015 11:48:33
Tbh Clarkey I don't even know what position he's plays. People were just saying we were doing something with a Porto Player and a car. I don't know. I could be completely wrong with this info haha.

3.) 04 Aug 2015 13:22:59
If RM is doing anything with a car it will be a Skoda

4.) 04 Aug 2015 13:31:49
brahimi or quintero would be perfect for number 10 role for us can't see it though they cost like 25 mil each

5.) 04 Aug 2015 18:09:02
Brahimi would be ideal bretto. can play wide and in the 10 role.

6.) 04 Aug 2015 21:00:53
He would be gutted we didn't get him last year after watching couple for granda and algeria games

Currently living in the Netherlands (Despite by username) , and De Boer's Ajax has just lost the Eredivise Title on the last day of the season to PSV, after losing to Graafschap. Had they won the game, they would have won the title on Goal Difference.

Only mentioning this because it seems that we are linked to him. However, from what I've seen this season, is that even though he's a decent coach, he is quite stubborn with his philosophy (sound familiar) , although he does hate losing, and goes absolutely nuts. So that's good I guess.

QatariBlue

1.) 08 May 2016 19:20:16
I like the idea about going nuts when loosing. Bobby brown shoes doesn't seem to care as long as we maintain a pass completion average above 600 every game sadly.

2.) 08 May 2016 20:33:15
And our play is phenomenal lol.

01 May 2016 19:11:25
Some of you blues are dead funny. Joachim Lowe is a world cup winning manager, and you don't think he's good enough based on his lack of premier league experience.

He's won a world cup. I'd have him over any of the others we're being mentioned with.

What we've got to appreciate is that next year, everyone will have money to pay bigger wages for players. So there will only be 2 other ways of attracting good players. One being Europe (which we don't have) , and the other being the Manager.

For example if you look at Chelsea, the fact that they've bought a manager like Conte in, ensure's that they'll be able to bring in very good Italian/ Italian league players because of his reputation (and just other players in general) .

Now I'm not saying that we'd get Goetze and Ozil if we bought Lowe in, but he'd be a much more attractive coach to work with for most players, rather than someone like Howe or Warbuton (God help us) .

Just my feeling towards its. Ofcourse, even if we stick with Roberto (i hope not) , I sure hope we can get behind the Team regardless.

QatariBlue

1.) 01 May 2016 22:32:50
Qatari I'd settle for Arthur Lowe at the moment mate.

2.) 02 May 2016 07:55:07
And he'd probably improve our defence Wedge. ;)

12 Aug 2015 16:47:04
Ed is this Holgate the signing your source was talking about? Or is it another player?

QatariBlue

{Ed025's Note - i hope not QB..

1.) 12 Aug 2015 20:17:53
Me neither. Need someone for the first team desperately. Cheers Ed.

11 Aug 2015 13:05:54
On the proposed move on Lennon.

I have no issue with us signing him, (so long as it is for less than 5 million). But for me, if we play with 1 winger every game any way, what is the point?

Also, I can see why some people do not want him. Injury Prone (like most of our squad), and older (like most of our squad). He won't improve us dramatically, but will be a much more astute winger than McGeady.

I just hope we get rid of the dead wood, as for this season we need quality instead of quantity since we only have the prem to focus on.

Also, on Shaqiri, we've missed out big time in my opinion. We do need a number 10 desperatly. And someone who is creative enough to read the game. We need a player like Ozil or Silva to link mid and attack, otherwise lur lone striker is isolated.

We need a CB and ST also, I wouldn't worry about the CB position at the moment, who ever it is will give some valuable competition.

HOWEVER WE NEED TO PRACTICE DEFENDING. No point signing a Sergio Ramos or something and not practising how to stop an attacker. Very pointless.

Tactics need changing. RM had all summer, and I thought he'd do it, but nope. Still trying to be Barcelona at quater the speed. We played well with 2 strikers, but RM prefers 1. Which is fine, but that means the Wingers have to come in and help hold up the ball too, BUT if you're playing Osman/Cleverley on the left, then there isn't much attacking mentality there to do that job.

QatariBlue

1.) 11 Aug 2015 14:25:18
Proble No 1. Martinez, problem No2 ownership, everything eles is fixable. But how the hell we get past NO1 & No2, short of hireing a hit man, I have know idea.

02 Aug 2015 00:12:19
Loads of new names on here. HELLO to you all.

But also. Loads of negativity. I get you're al concerned that nobody is coming in, but I'm not bothered. This season is going to be the big transition.

We will be bottom half by Jan and then spend the money we get for stones during that window. We won't get relegated, but we won't win anything. It will just be a "solid" season. The board will be happy.

We'll probs finish just outside the top half aswell, which will be quite an achievement for a club like us, considering our rivals West Ham and Sunderland have spent far more.

Bill Kenwright and the board will pocket the earnings of that season, and it will be onto our next star to fund the incomings.

Good to be a blue ain't it?! Enjoy the weekend lads. Am going to go back to Qatar soon, so I'll ask a Sheikh if he fancys moving to Wavertree. Ed025 do you want anything? Can hook you up with a Camel or two.

QatariBlue

{Ed001's Note - when has Bill Kenwright ever pocketed anything from Everton? I don't understand this hatred for a man who has only ever put money in to the club.}

1.) 02 Aug 2015 07:32:36
Kenwright has never taken a penny out of our club. wish folk would get their facts right.

2.) 02 Aug 2015 09:12:17
Bk saved us from oblivion, he has put every penny he has into everton fc if anyone is to blame it is the other board members, take our anger out on them not Bk, he is at loggerheads wiv them constantly as he knows were in need of finances, I for one don't want a foreign owner, I want blue Bill to stay on the board as he knows what it takes to be a blue. We have many legends who have played in blue, but I would say Bill is a true legend too eho has saves us from being nobodys

{Ed025's Note - im a big fan as well dan, but the fact is he is trying to hold back a tide and sooner or later things will have to change mate..

3.) 02 Aug 2015 09:34:47
Ur right ed, but I dunno when the right time is for the change, we need a ground for starters it's going to take sumbody mega mega rich or mega mega silly to buy us, build a ground and invest in players, I really can't see it happening for a long time, maybe bk can't either and he's worried what will happen in the long term if he sells to the wrong person, and that's why he wants to stay on board

4.) 02 Aug 2015 12:25:20
Hello everyone. I was being sarcastic. Apologies if it didn't carry over very well. Was taking the mick our of Doom Sayers.

I think we should be looking at someone who will take the Club forward Duaney. Howe is decent, but as you've said yourself, we hired a manager of similar rep who saved us. We are no longer a club that needs saving (well we shouldn't be) . We are a club who need a manager with experience in guiding his teams to the Top of the Table. And someone who can manager players with big egos and such.

My biggest fear is that if we get someone like Howe or Dyche in, we'll become like Stoke with a standard manager who'll just be happy to be here and think that a cup semi-final and mid-table is good enough. If we want CL, and are serious about it, then we should look for a guy with that drive and experience.

I think in the Second half we got a glimpse of an everton that took little notice of that possession philosophy that El Bob cherishes so much. We were electric. Reckon RM's gone now.
