Any new on psv winger bergwijn and striker lozano, hear brands said they are not quite ready for premier League yet. And price doesn't reflect their experience in a top flight league. £20m bergwijn and £30m lozano.

Personally I would take bergwijn out of the two.

We do need an out and out striker, not sure lozano is the answer.

Rik-EFC

{Ed002's Note - Steven Bergwijn is yet another left winger that Everton don't need. Milan, Barcelona, CSKA and Inter have looked at him as one for the future but not followed up. Bayer Leverkusen took a look but are working another issue right now. Bordeaux, Sevilla and Spurs remain keen but I don't see him moving in the short-term.

Hirving Lozano is not a striker but really a RW which Everton do need. As I have said before, the problem is always going to be taking on a coach or Technical Director from another side and then trying to cherry pick their players; maybe enough time will have passed by next summer but his asking price may also be a bit rich for Everton. Lots of other clubs have looked at him including Barcelona and Arsenal but only two sustain an interest - one being Milan who might well make an offer if Suso were to leave.}

Brands quoted in the Echo as not looking to bring anyone in this January. A couple may go, but he doesn’t like bringing players in unless the club is “in trouble” with either injuries or league position. He sounds like he’d rather give the younger players a chance to develop this year.

{Ed025's Note - that is the likely scenario PLB, but im sure that if the right guy was available we would delve into the market mate..

2.) 28 Dec 2018 13:42:30
I think it’s the right way to go Ed. I’d be happy to see the young talent realised by the end of this year, even if that meant a mid table finish.

3.) 28 Dec 2018 23:37:13
Brands seems to know his stuff I am very impressed with the guy.

So happy about buying that striker we desperately needed. NOT! 5 outgoings none in. Had real chance of getting 7th if we brought in a decent goal scorer. Going to really struggle now.
Unless big Dunc gets he's boots back on.

Couldn't disagree more, no one who would improve us was available so why spend?

2.) 01 Feb 2019 07:15:53
Well that's about the only thing Silva has got right this season when he said no new signings, so let's see the season out and finish in 7th place.

3.) 01 Feb 2019 07:48:03
We have Cenk, DCL and Richarlison can play up top, plus now we have nothing to play for throw a few youngsters in. No need to panic buy.

4.) 01 Feb 2019 09:40:12
There's no reason why we carnt finish in the top 10 kingpin or even the top 7 mate.

5.) 01 Feb 2019 10:14:58
Do you know what, although I can't say that I enjoy watching performances like the Millwall game, overall Silva is trying to get us playing a different way. and right from the off. Where as our last two managers (and I'm not including Allardyce) took over our team and had a successful first season, they then tried to get those players to change what they were good at second season. Along with making some unsuccessful signings (Koeman particularly) it both ended up with them failing. Silva is supposedly having a bad first season, but I feel has bought in better quality players. We're still top 8! Let him get another summer under his belt, more players to play his way and then judge him. I'd prefer progression season on season rather than the regression we've had previously. If it doesn't improve next season then surely that's the time to question. Wasn't it similar with Moyes first and second seasons?

6.) 01 Feb 2019 11:49:58
Maybe no signings because even Moshiri realises he has to get rid of manager in the summer, just a thought.

01 Jan 2019 16:07:20
Well if that doesn't prove we need an out and out striker nothing will. How flat were we going forward. Even when we got the ball into he box no one was there to get on the end of it.
Buy a striker who will bang in 12 goals before end of this season and we have a shot to finish 7th, don't and we finish top of bottom half.
Shocking from front to back.
Gueye Kenny only players who wanted to win today. Can't remember a worse performance! We have nearly 2 weeks to turn this round before our next match, or this is going to be a LOOOOOONG second half of the season!

COYB!

We have a game Sat Rik, a very big game that our season rests on, need to get it right for the cup game and. Hope Lady Luck shines on us for the next few round draws, should we manage to get past Lincoln.

By the way I would add Zouma to the list of wanted to win today, very close to our man of the match for me.

2.) 01 Jan 2019 18:43:45
Zouma was excellent.

3.) 02 Jan 2019 09:11:03
Rik. Accept nobody on the end (until Tosun) . You must have noticed though that our crosses either hit their first man, were overhit or more perplexing were floated into the middle, meat and drink for Maguire. The little lad at least tried the hard and low approach. Gomes not having the best of games but should have been Walcot off first and tried Gomes and Bernard for those last minutes. Siggy off for Tosun.

19 Jan 2018 12:05:29
The lastest interview with S. A he says he thinks he's done with buying players this window. Need to shorten the player list down. Get rid of players. Surely to goodness we are not going into second half of season with Coco Martina as back up full back. Baines is on his way back to the team and so is Coleman. But cricky. Coco as back up to baines.

We really need new left footed defender.

Rik-EFC

{Ed025's Note - dont believe everything sam says rik, we are looking for a left sided defender mate, i cant say we will definitely get one in this window but the club is trying..

1.) 19 Jan 2018 12:57:00
Bit strange though Ed. we are now talking about having too large a squad. In the past we said we had too small a squad to cover all the competitions. I guess what Sam means is that we don't have the required quality or more likely too many #10's.

{Ed025's Note - we need to ship a few out mike thats obvious, i expect i few to be loaned at the end of the window mate..

Can I just say, the whole Theo rumours are horrendous. We are supposed to be fighting arsenal in the up coming years for possition in the premier league. And he is 28 years old, so now on the turn from his best. He is a bench player for arsenal and so he is to come to us and sit on our bench for 145,000 a week. Stupid. He doesn't make the grade for a team we want to fight for possition with, so why go for him. I really really hope saints come in with a better offer and we can put this to rest. I would chose lookman everyday before Walcott. Why ain't for going in for mahrez. (Leicester winger) he makes stuff happen. Walcott is so predictable. He kicks it in front of him and runs. That's it. His final ball is terrible and his shooting has got better in recent years, but still shocking. There must be better options out there. He's such a predictable purchase for S. A. we want to be fighting for champions league, not middle of the road team. Sam sort it out. Need a big signing. Not just rosin.
WishList:

Luke Shaw.
Jean-michael seri
paco Alcacer.

Rik-EFC

1.) 12 Jan 2018 16:10:51
What are you on about, he scored 19 goals last season, who did we have in our squad who scored that many, he would be a very big signing for us, pace ability to score goals and make teams think twice about pushing forward, lookmen can't get a regular place because he not consistent, 5 mins of flare isn't good enough,

2.) 12 Jan 2018 16:34:22
I know a lot of us would like Seri but we need to be realistic. He nearly went Barcelona in the Summer and probably has many offers from champions league clubs. We can't give that so why would he come to us. The teams needs more goals and pace and Walcott gives that.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 16:41:37
So don't buy Walcott because he can't get a game for arsenal but buy shaw who has been publically shamed by Jose a few times and only gets near their team for cup games. Honestly, not a clue how you are rationalizing that.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 16:56:59
Anyone who has been watching us lately can see that we are getting slower and slower. Without Coleman we have been virtually impotent on the right. Now we have Bolasie back we can see how bad we were without him. So add Walcot to the team and we will have more pace again. It’s a no brainer for me.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 17:02:02
Walcott would be a good addition, pace, and goals. He's Arsenals 2nd top scorer of all time with over 100 goals. Keeping him fir and healthy is another matter, but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 17:25:39
I’d have him in a heartbeat as well him and Bolasie tipping defences apart or getting beyond defenders onto defence splitting passes from Rooney or Gylfi!
And if Lookman plays with this lot he will only benefit as well.

7.) 12 Jan 2018 17:28:27
exactly pace is what we have been lacking, c'mon Sam sign him up pronto.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 17:47:48
He's also pretty versatile, he can play left wing, right wing, no.10 (although we don't need anyone else to play there! ) and striker if necessary.

9.) 12 Jan 2018 18:16:13
Realism is needed here. As someone else says. we are not a Champions League club so why would players like Marez come to us when other Champions League clubs are after him? Look at my other posts about goals too. We are so shy of goals in our squad that Walcott's stats are head and shoulders above anyone else in our squad.

10.) 12 Jan 2018 19:58:15
He'll definitely improve us and I think he'll be hungry to succeed so I think it's worth the gamble. Bolasie, Theo, Sig and Tosun should be a good forward quartet with Vlasic and Lookman rotating in the wide positions.

11.) 12 Jan 2018 20:16:43
Well OllBlue1878 you pretty much wrote my post.
Couldn’t agree more with that, especially adding Lookman and Vlasic in there as I think they’ll be great players in time.

12.) 12 Jan 2018 22:25:04
Such nonsense. Fringe players at the big clubs are often more than good enough for most other clubs. Walcott would be a big step in the right direction for us. Sometimes seems to go missing but other days looks sensational and bangs in the goals. I'd be very happy to see him here!

13.) 13 Jan 2018 01:05:00
pace lacking! really! Lennon. Kenny, Vasic, Bolasie, Coleman Some of you need a head wobble.

14.) 13 Jan 2018 08:17:26
Yes we are lacking pace, really! Watch the games.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see a problem in getting theo, some say the money is too much for a 28yr old and that his wages will be too much...NEWSFLASH..mr moshiri will not be knocking on any of our doors asking us to contribute money for it, hes better than we have so its a no brainer for me guys..

15.) 13 Jan 2018 13:01:00
I'm expecting him round for tea later ed. Surely i can't be the only one he's asking for contributions off?

{Ed025's Note - he might just want your advice on the new ground cropper, i told him you know your stuff see mate..

What so digne hasn't proven he's prem ready? Also gomes, yeah he had a shocker last match, but up until then he was the best player on the pitch even when we were getting beat. Mina hasn't been given fair amount of time for us to judge, but he's already scored more than 2 of our strikers.
Lay off the team guys. The team is struggling for confidence as it is. Get behind them!
Malcolm would be an exceptional signing, but brands will have to work his magic!
Still need a bludy striker, Tammy might be coming back from loan to Chelsea. He might not be a bad shout.

By the way, would love to see DCL and lookman start in the cup!

Like that CT. We need to give Marco time. He has the rest of this window and all of next window in my opinion. If we keep changing the manager, we will never get a consistent team. Marco and brands has a plan. We need to see that plan come true. If we finish in 11tg this year. Yeah rubbish, but rome wasn't built in a year. We need to give Marco time to mould the team how he wants it. We need a striker! We buy a 15 goal a year striker we will rocket up the league. We also need a back up keeper.

But we need to get rid of dead wood from the team. Walcott, Tosun, Schneiderlin. Along with a few loan moves!

But we need get behind the team!

Correct me if I'm wrong. But we still have best part of 50mill sitting in a safe from the stones sale. Lukaku sale 75mill +adds. We are still in profit from all signings made this summer. Plus money from Moshiri. Plus tv. Plus finishing 7th. If we wanted I'm sure we could spend a lot more money than we are letting on. Activate neymars release claus I say haha.

Thanks Oll. I am 100% not gloomy about the season. We will have a better chance than ever in the prem to attack those top 6 teams. I just really wish we could have signed a cf. Who will pop in 15 goals this year. We have the players to get the 24 goals what lukaku did last year. But we need more goals to the rival for top positions. I am very excited about the future of this great club now. I don't think spurs are in reach this year, but arsenal is a possibility with how shaken they are with signings.
Very excited for season. See who joins in January. Haha.
P. s. can't wait to see sandro once settled in.
