Liverpool fan here in peace just appreciate Rafa when you have him. His change of tactics got Everton the points yesterday. Well done by the way.

Thanks Rud, I've wanted Rafa since Moyes left so I am 1 of the happy fans.

2.) 17 Aug 2021 09:46:23
Not bother who Rafa supports, played for or managed, so for along as he is our manager he gives everything and gets the best out the players he has and I will be one happy blue.

3.) 17 Aug 2021 09:52:01
Thanks rudder, but would you be praising us if it it wasn't rafa in charge?

4.) 17 Aug 2021 15:05:56
Skylark I actually would. I won't forget how Everton fans stood by us after Hillsborough. Obviously we won't agree on everything football but I won't forget that.

A Liverpool fan here in peace. I see a lot of blues crying for Moyes back . The question I ask is why? He done well at Everton without setting the World on fire. He has failed at every club since. Would a Liverpool supporter take Benitez back? Not in a million years is the answer.

Rudder

1.) 12 Feb 2019 15:07:46
I don't want him back but I am sure Kenwright would have him back. Whoever we get has to be the right one this time and he should be in it for the long haul.

2.) 12 Feb 2019 16:25:26
Sadly Kenright has no say anymore, he has more knowledge of how to run a football club in his lttle finger than Moshiri will ever have.

3.) 12 Feb 2019 18:02:40
Don’t want Moyes, don’t want Moyes, do not want Moyes.
Will never ever want Moyes.

{Ed025's Note - i wrote that song..

4.) 12 Feb 2019 18:05:43
Rudder I think the majority think Moyes would be a backwards step and not want him back. There are a few fans on here singing Benitez praises I personally wouldn't want him but would be interested to know what a fan of a club he has coached thinks about him.

5.) 12 Feb 2019 18:25:17
Kenright loves Moyes, big no, we want a winner not someone who has been sacked? is it 3 or 4 now?

{Ed025's Note - 4 mate..

6.) 12 Feb 2019 19:00:04
It is Mr Kenwright that needs to take a backseat. Give him a non-executive honourary position for life.

7.) 12 Feb 2019 19:42:56
A few are expecting the Moyes of 8 seasons ago, time has moved on since then, no doubting he got the players fit and had any opponents fearful of coming to Goodison Park, since Moyes, the fear factor has gone on visiting Goodison.

We need to bring someone in to bring our identity back, sadly though too many players here with a could not give a toss attitude.

We need to get rid of Kenwright, Ferguson and the other hangers on at the club, including quite a few of the first team and squad, whoever is advising Moshi on transfers and running of the club previously needs removing as well.

Putting Brands in charge of the transfers and the club, is a positive step in the right direction.

more needs to be done before we see a recovery.

So in regards to Moyes, Mourinho, Benetez or even Conte, very little will change until we sort out the players, certain people at the club gone who are stealing a living.

Like I say, removing Kenwright and Ferguson would be a start.

8.) 12 Feb 2019 23:06:34
Kenright is a sick man and does not make the decisions, so he is irrevilent.

A Liverpool supporter here in peace. Can I ask why a lot of Everton supporters think Batshuyai is the answer? He's a 10 goal a season striker on average.

Rudder

1.) 23 Jan 2019 18:16:18
No idea personally. Not seen enough of the lad to form an opinion.

2.) 23 Jan 2019 18:20:35
Basically Rudder and with due respect some are grasping at straws. We have strikers at this Club but nary a one has been given a run of games. Tosun for instance plays well for his Country and scores goals at that level. DCL likewise just needs a run. they all want to give our proven failure of a head coach long enough.

3.) 23 Jan 2019 18:59:52
He’s actually got quite an impressive record given the games he’s played, bar Valencia. He absolutely smashed it at Dortmund last season. It’s a difficult one, we can’t attract a Salah or Aguero. We’re not at the top of the food chain, given what’s available to us, I think Batshuayi could be a good option, it’s a risk no doubt but that’s where we are right now, every transfer will be a gamble, if they were top top players they’d be off to a champions league team, got to take a chance and hope they come good.

4.) 23 Jan 2019 19:40:45
A lot of fans remember how well our last Belgian striker did so they would be hopeful of that being repeated (I can't see it) . I haven't really seen much of Batshuayi to be quite honest and when I have he's been rather average. With that said, he could probably do a decent job for us.

5.) 23 Jan 2019 20:03:34
Do you go to the training sessions DFS?
Every post or reply from you is to belittle the supporters of Silva and the club's decisions.
Every post has that snide dig at Silva. You are not interested in giving Silva a chance. Where were these posts when we won 4 in 5, yoh just lurk in the shadows waiting.

If Tosun doesn't fit the managers system then so be it, if he isn't performing in training why should he be picked?
DCL had a good run of games last season and only scored a handful of goals, but you want him to have another run of games to see if things have changed?
You want to take a striker out who's stroke rate is pretty much 1 in 2?
Tosun has been given chances and has missed some guilt edge chances.
At least Richarlison and DCL get goals. I haven't seen anything from Tosun for a year that says he should be 1st choice no9.

To answer the original question. I don't think we need to splurge a load of cash on Batshuayi, at least not in January when prices are inflated.

6.) 23 Jan 2019 20:32:23
Actually Smit666, I do watch U23, U18's and reserves. Never made snide digs at Silva (the coach/ Manager not the person) , I have been consistent in my criticism of his appointment and remain so. When we win I complement the Team/ Squad and support them if they lose draw or win. I always want them to win. I cannot get to away games, so rely on Son's opinion and either live TV or replays (not good, I admit) . You are welcome.

7.) 23 Jan 2019 21:03:38
Calling Silva a proven failure, is a dig at him DFS.
Look back at your previous posts and replies and point out to me where you complimented the team because I can't see one. Where were the compliments in November when we won all those games?
The compliments weren't there when we kept Chelsea quiet, gave Arsenal a good game. Attacked and snuffed Liverpool out for 95 minutes, something we haven't done for years.

I spend enough time on here to get a feel for the posters opinions and yours is consistent in pulling Silva to pieces but I am sure you can show me a post where you have complimented the team on their performance whether they win, lose or draw.

There is a history feature on this site which shows your last posts/ replies, may I suggest you look back at them?
I'll look forward to seeing your reply quoting your many compliments to the team.

8.) 23 Jan 2019 21:31:46
To play devil’s advocate Smit, I do get where you’re coming from, but I definitely don’t agree with the way MS is persisting with Richarlison up front when we have two decent centre forwards crying out for a chance. If he persisted what Tosun the way he’s persisted with Richarlison and it wasn’t successful, then yes, I could hold my hands up.

We can all see it’s not working and is the familiar Everton story of round holes in square pegs I’m afraid.

I do think silva needs time, but it’s hard to get on board with his method when you can see something he can’t if you know what I mean.

9.) 23 Jan 2019 22:12:12
Richarlisons stats are around 1 in 2 for Everton which would put him on 19 for a season. Lukakau averaged 17 a season for us but we still crave a Lukaku replacement.
Will Tosun get 19 in a season? Who knows, but I would guess not.

I agree we need a striker but I don't think we have a striker at the club who could score 1 in 2 or better.

{Ed002's Note - It is not that simple when you consider the chances to create and the overall stats.}

10.) 23 Jan 2019 22:33:00
I don’t mean to sound pedantic Smit, but Tosun stats for last year, when he first came, would suggest 15/ 16 goals a season. Richarlison’s stats this year are a goal every 2.3 games - season total of just under 17 goals. That is only relevant if you are talking purely stats of course.

All I am saying, is give Cenk a chance.

11.) 23 Jan 2019 22:12:25
No one has mentioned Hornby, I would certainly put him on the bench on Saturday and hopefully a run out.

Some might say too inexperienced but worth Giving him a go, we will never know unless we give it a go and certainly a target man for either Baines/ Digne and Lookman to whip the ball into.

Sometimes you need to chance your arm, why not Saturday at some point.

Everton haven't been a big club in over a quarter of a century. If I was Rafa I wouldn't touch Everton with a barge pole.

You clearly didn't watch it. But the next time Everton are playing you should watch Rodriguez and Richarlison continually trying to con the ref.
