Hi eds do you think we might go back in for Lucas Perez? Not a happy bunny at arsenal cheers.

Smeghead30

{Ed002's Note - I doubt it.}

1.) 24 Jul 2017 18:41:22
I thought he was ok for Arsenal when given the chance, but that wasnt very often. i can understand why he chose he gunners at the time but he made a bad move there.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 22:56:02
perez has had his shirt number taken from him and he is angling for a move back to la liga. if we offer the kind of money we seem willing to pay other targets i reckon we could bag him easily arsenal want good money for him with his old team willing only to meet about 3/ 4s of his sale price last year .

get sandro on the phone to him let him know this is where it is happening can't see why he wouldn't want to stuff arsenal next season with the way he has been treated and stay in the prem someone needs to show him some love let it be us. just a thought.

Hi eds any truth in the rumours that Everton are trying to sign blaisie matuidi (way out on my spelling but it's the French guy hope you know who I mean) cheers.

Smeghead30

{Ed002's Note - Now that PSG need to sell to make space in the squad and wage budget, Blaise Matuidi is finally open to a move from Paris but the club has priced him at a level where it will be difficult to find a suiter but they have given him permission to talk with interested parties. His agent has made it clear that he will listen to offers from England and Italy and he has spoken with Arsenal and Manchester United, but neither has made an offer. The only offer on the table is from Juventus but it is by some way short of what is being asked. PSG know this needs resolving fairly quickly as they have a replacement very much in mind so they may comromise. I am not aware of any approach to or by Everton.}

1.) 22 Jul 2017 08:25:10
Cheers ed great response 😊.

{Ed002's Note - It would be a good buy if it were possible.}

2.) 22 Jul 2017 11:42:35
Brilliant player, but not sure where he would fit in? He seems very much a Gana Gueye type player, although I may be wrong.

07 Jul 2017 21:19:11
Apparently Chelsea have matched utds offer, so is that 75 mil plus a player or was the Rooney thing not part of utds offer? going to be an interesting few days.

Smeghead30

1.) 07 Jul 2017 23:05:03
The Rooney deal is totally seperate.

03 Jul 2017 10:22:15
Loan deal for Rooney? Not sure how I feel about that, asking as he's not lukakus replacement I can live with it 😀.

Smeghead30

1.) 03 Jul 2017 11:33:41
I'd love this to happen. The younglads will explode having Rooney in the club. He will be a big influence for derbies. I'm not saying he's a starter but he's an amazing catch for the squad.

03 Jul 2017 09:46:39
Well jim white is at it again, says we have a "big name" in the pipeline, let's see what transpires 😀.

Smeghead30

1.) 03 Jul 2017 10:22:14
Rooney.

2.) 03 Jul 2017 11:35:43
I hope not signing Rooney is not a step forward in my opinion.

3.) 03 Jul 2017 11:29:17
Yevhen Konoplyanka is a pretty big name 😆.

4.) 03 Jul 2017 11:33:36
Sadly, its wayne rooney, look all over media, sources saying 'almost certain' to sign him.

5.) 03 Jul 2017 13:16:28
All depends upon the financial outlay. if the fee is nominal and the wages are closer to EFC level and not the crazy money he has been on at UTD, why not?

He could be a brilliant player in our midfield. Sure he has had a mixed 12-24 months but. he has become England's leading scorer and UTDs in that time (somehow still doesn't get the credit he deserves. we will miss him when he's gone) .
He is 31? and frankly was never blessed with Owen like pace. He is a big lad but that suits his style of play. I think with our Europa commitments he could be a pivotal player in our squad. Be great for the kids, be great for our international profile, be great for our revenues so what's the problem? Sure its nice to be able to set our sights higher these days but I think Rooney could be a valued "stepping stone" and frankly to be the club who has him at the end of his playing days could be useful if he or we ever wanted him as a coach? sign him up I say.

{Ed025's Note - wayne seems to be marmite at the moment B76, i have to be honest im in the no camp at the moment because im unsure of the terms he will want, will he be promised game time and take a massive cut in wages are just 2 of the issues for me, my main worry would be that if he comes and is our highest earner by far then that could affect the dynamic and togetherness of the squad, as i say we dont know yet so maybe my concerns will be unfounded mate..

6.) 03 Jul 2017 13:41:46
Totally Ed 025
I fully agree with your comment. I wouldn't have him if he was expecting to be Charlie big balls and lording it up over the team with outrageous wages. If the money is right for a player heading into the final years, i'd have him. If he starts to demand (and he probably does have the right to) top man money, then not for me. He would sell a truck load of shirts though.

7.) 03 Jul 2017 15:00:15
As a squad player and a mentor, most definitely like to see him back here. His experience and leadership would be invaluable in the Europa league and he's still got planet left in the premier league. My only concern is that if he comes, what of the younger players coming through? The like of Tom Davies and Lookman, and to a certain extent, Calvert Lewin may have their progression hampered by being pegged back down the order.

{Ed025's Note - a mentor pierre?...if you want our young players hanging around old peoples homes looking for totty maybe.. :)

8.) 03 Jul 2017 19:02:43
If we get him he has to be put up front. United played him deeper the last two seasons and its the only time he has not scored 20+ goals in a season.

9.) 03 Jul 2017 20:41:34
What have you been smoking Bobslad? Wooney has only scored more than 20 in a season twice!
Come on mate! we use the internet yet we don't check our facts before we start spouting nonsense and make ourselves look like idiots.

10.) 04 Jul 2017 05:39:56
Was late, meant double figures, calm yourself down son.

11.) 04 Jul 2017 10:11:38
19:00 late? oh ok.

Calvert Lewis scored a good goal with an assist from lookman today, I think lookman should get a start next week, inject some pace in to our game, the new lad from Croatia looks a good buy aswell, quick and direct maybe give him a start aswell, why not 😀.

Smeghead30

1.) 01 Sep 2017 22:46:12
Isn't it a right pain when spell-checker changes the name of Calvert-Lewin to Calvert-Lewis or Calvin-Lewis?

2.) 01 Sep 2017 23:29:03
Haha didn't even notice, but yeh your right I'll be proof reading before clicking the post button next time lol.

3.) 02 Sep 2017 09:04:11
I love how Sky sports becomes sly sports, although that may just be when Jim White is on ☺️.

Hi eds surely something is going to happen this week either sig signing or at least another definite target being known.
What do you reckon eds? Thankyou.

Smeghead30

{Ed002's Note - Unless Everton agree to the asking price I suspect Swansea will draw a line across the matter.}

1.) 14 Aug 2017 14:52:48
Said it from the start. We offered 40 got it turned down, then we offered 45 (48 in some circles) apparently gentlemans handshake and then we (again apparently) decide to play silly buggars. We knew Swanseas asking price, we either pay up or run away with our tail between our legs, just like Levy habitually does to us.

03 Jul 2017 22:48:09
Who's do you think is next ed25, giroud, Rooney, sigusson all 3 😀.

Smeghead30

{Ed025's Note - the 3 are still very possible smeghead, though if we never got wayne it would make me happy mate..

1.) 03 Jul 2017 23:52:34
Hi ed very exciting window so far for me I would love to see Rooney back must be willing to take huge pay cut tho his experience and leadership would be great for the club right now also I think many are writing him off to soon with the World Cup coming up and him willing to put the work in he could be a very good signing for us I'm sure he will be eager to prove a point and show everyone he is not finished yet and playing for Everton again might bring out the best in him would also like to see him play up front again to often over the years he has bin played outta position play him up front and get him scoring goals again it could turn out to be an excellent buy and a great leader who for me still has a few years left in him really can't wait for the new season even tho I think this new team might need time to gel and hope we as fans give them time and don't expect to much to soon our time is coming thanks.

{Ed025's Note - i certainly agree with the last part fiadh but on wayne im not sure, he has been an excellent player for united over the years but recently he has gone downhill for me, do we really need a fading superstar that could upset the dynamic of this group?, how much will he want and could that unsettle the other players?, there are too many questions and not enough answers for me mate and i would sooner look forward than back, maybe i will be proved wrong and he could elevate us to a higher level i just dont know, i will trust koeman on this one i think..

2.) 04 Jul 2017 11:24:21
Yeh got to admit when I heard the talk sport thing this morning I was hoping for something more exciting but if he comes then I'll support the lad,

Most football fans might understand the ins and outs of football dealings but branding them dumb is a bit harsh, even for you!

I come on here for the banter and to read other people's thoughts and feelings on Everton, I go to twitter for transfer news as so far (this window anyway) I have heard about all the incomings on there before anywhere else, like just now one of the Twitter guys who I've found to be very reliable has mentioned that costa has agreed to come to us, just waiting for Chelsea to finalise, this guy rarely tweets about players coming but when he does it's usually spot on, only downside is it's for a short term loan which unless we get a permanent cf in aswell Seems pointless to me, great player and will improve us but how many games will he actually play, will take a while to get match fitness sorted, then by time he's up and running we wave bye bye, but we will see.
Not posting this to have a go and take the mick just sharing what I've seen and believe to be correct. Peace out ✌️.

Niasse scores some good and important goal, the scruffy lucky ones were due to his persistence and work rate, I would keep him as back up sort of player you want coming on for the last 20/ 15 mins if we are up against it.

Sort of agree with he op, but like Aussie toffee said they were unbearable, if we ever make it to a final then I will look back on this and remind myself to keep quiet till the final whistle and don’t make a stupid banner 😀.

3 points would be ok, Sunday will be difficult as we are without Morgan, klassen and possibly Sandro and gueye, I'll happily take a draw but don't want us to play for a draw (if you know what I mean)
