we are supposedly interested in Michael Carrick, I didn't hear his name mentioned by a commentator once today.

Funny.I thought the same about our player McCarthy. Didn't realise he was playing.

Just heard Monaco are after mirallas. Lennon is trying to force a move through and saying he won't play for spurs again and supposedly del boy is on his way back.

blueray

1.) 08 Jun 2015 20:40:11
Could live with that Lennon a decent player and Del Boy is s player who I would have back tomorrow think he has the potential to be a class player in the right hands

2.) 08 Jun 2015 20:56:19
I'd be happy with that to be honest.

Anyone know when the new home jersey is going to be released.

1.) 07 Jul 2021 12:08:31
After we've had a bad start to the season😂.

Forgetting about yesterdays decision, who has the final is it the ref or var ie with yellow cards red cards. If a ref awards a yellow card and var says red does the ref have to award red or can he stick by his original decision.

blueray

{Ed002's Note - The ref.}

1.) 02 Mar 2020 12:57:08
Cheers ed.

Forget the whole offside debate at the end, am i the only one who thought gylfi should have had a peno for the tackle on him. Maybe watching it with blue tinted glasses?

blueray

1.) 01 Mar 2020 18:25:27
Forget that what I want to know is what he was doing just sitting there when the ball is still live and we are in their penalty area attacking. If he gets up and gets on with play we get a deflected winner with no need for a VAR call.

2.) 01 Mar 2020 19:30:07
Completely agree, he just sat there having a lovely time.

3.) 01 Mar 2020 21:34:38
You need to take another look, he was on the ground due to the late tackle from the utd defender.

4.) 01 Mar 2020 21:49:14
Nevertheless he had sufficient time to move, he was not injured.

5.) 01 Mar 2020 23:08:06
Had he stood up then he would have been impeding the keepers vision and the correct decision would have been to disallow the goal.
He didn't, he wasn't and they shouldn't have.

6.) 01 Mar 2020 23:34:46
Stole my thunder Brassington, had a Siggy stood up and blocked his sight then fair enough.

7.) 01 Mar 2020 23:37:16
What I will say is had that tackle on Siggy been anywhere else on the pitch a foul would have been given for a late tackle and a yellow card the very least given to the utd player.

Hi Ed002. Quick questiin for you. Your knowledge on what happens behind the scenes is amazing especially when it comes to transfers. But does a transfer ever go ahead that you thought to yourself "i didn't see that one coming" or you weren't aware of it happening. This isn't meant in disrespect i am just curious because you seem to be clued in on prettyt much everything.

blueray

{Ed002's Note - Sure. I am not really able to predict transfers, but I know sufficient folks to be able to say where I understand there has been interest in players. As such there are plenty of transfers that I know nothing of.}

1.) 19 Jul 2018 07:43:14
Id love a post where you detail how you got in to all this, Ed, but understand that it might be too private to disclose!

{Ed002's Note - That is pretty easy - I didn't know the Everton supporters needed help understanding this, but here goes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7Y-stLKT9o }

2.) 19 Jul 2018 09:16:07
Ha - followed link and took me to how to make a baby 😂😂😂.

I think that's Ed002 in the green sweater.

4.) 19 Jul 2018 18:18:12
Haha the kid that says beer to what makes a baby.

5.) 19 Jul 2018 19:09:08

6.) 19 Jul 2018 20:24:43
Just been bantered off by the transfer-guru himself. Hats off, Ed002 hahaha.

Might be a silly question but what is the main role of the director of football in the club. Is he a link between manager and the board or is there something else. Is he in charge of recruitment and has final say over whay players we buy and sell?

blueray

1.) 26 Jan 2018 17:43:29
His main role in our club is to identify transfer targets and then persuade them not to come, ours excels at this.
He also links the board and the manager, he does this by ignoring the manager and forgetting to tell the board.
Oh and when a manager gets the sack he puts forward the names of really bad ones so he looks better.

Hope this has cleared things up for you.

2.) 26 Jan 2018 18:38:48
He also hides in the background and let's others carry the flack when it all goes wrong.

3.) 26 Jan 2018 18:58:10
Made me chuckle :-)

4.) 26 Jan 2018 19:46:15
So true that Smit. Cracking reply lol.

He has been in charge for little over a week and has changed a team with no confidence to a team that don't stop fighting for each other. Picked up 4 points along the way with only 30% possession. He can only work with what he has and at the moment there are a few crucial injury problems as well.

nbtb i think if i remember corectly you said you are irish like myself. i think sometimes we might take it to heart when people write of mc carthy or slag of coleman because of this. but i am with you 100% on this one. mc carthy is one of the only players we have that literally put their bodies on the line week in and week out for us. mc carthy unfortunately has become so injury prone its a shame because for me, he was a starter every week for his grit and determination alone.

He doesn't have to sell them all to one person. There might be a few people willing to buy some of his shares. Fingers crossed.

Everton made an approach for silva which wad rejected by silva but we still have to pay comoensation after he was sacked? Yet moyes admitted he was approached by alex ferguson directlyly who said he wanted moyes as his replacement and yet we don't get compensation. I know moyes let his contract wind down but surely i must be missing something here? We made an offer which was rejected. Our manager was argubly tapped up yet and yet we are offering compensation?

Every team has a streak of putting some wins together. We did it ourselves in December. let's hope Luton had theirs recently and they start dropping points again.

I understand the word. I'm a pretty intelligent bloke. Just because I don't know much about the running of a football club doesn't decrease my intelligence. If we were to have a discussion about my profession I would run rings around you and leave you sitting there open mouthed. But what I wouldn't do is try to make you out to be an idiot for not knowing somethjng about an industry your not involved in. Obviously I don't want my account deleted but I've seen you do it on other pages because people didn't agree with you.

blueray

{Ed002's Note - I did not mention your intelligence - but who is paying or otherwise rewarding the Premier League making them corrupt? And are you aware that Everton are a voting member of the Premier League - or is it just the Premier League Board of Directors you are saying are being paid off? I have no idea what your profession is but I am not trying to make you look an idiot as you are doing a tremendous job of humiliating yourself with the string of ridiculous, misinformed posts.}

Sorry Ed002 but i have to disagree with you, you say the deduction, the charge and the appeal are not being handled by the Premier league.

The charge was made by the PL. We worked with the PL in relation to our accounts so therefore they did handle the charge.

They have docked us 10 points, they were looking for 12 but the commission decided on 10. We play in the premier league so it was them that punished us on advice of the committee thus they did handle the deduction.

The commission and appeal. Who appointed them, who is paying them. I don't know but I am guessing it's the PL. I could be wrong on that.

In a later reply you mentioned we have been found guilty? We pleaded guilty. Doesn't take columbo to find someone guilty who have pleaded guilty. That's not our issue, our issue is the severity of the punishment, the lack of action against other teams.

You say the PL is not corrupt, its hard to agree with that when you see constant decisions go against us whether it be 2 charges in a year, so we will be charged twice and found guilty i'm guessing twice, before other clubs with more serious charges have been charged once even though their cases stretch way back longer than ours.
VAR constantly screwing us over. There are way more things but I won't go into them.
But hey, I'm a fan, I must be reading too much into things right? Wrong.

I know you are knowledgeable about a lot regarding transfers but you have mentioned before that you are not particularly a football fan, so I don't think you fully understand how this affects us as fans.

We know the club is in a bad state but you are a Ed on on fan site and as far as I and I am sure many others agree, you have an attitude toward us fans. You remind me of a great doctor with a bad bedside manner.

I read this site a few times a day, as I have done for years, I don't comment too much but that's out of choice. I expect some sort of reply saying how stupid I am or some petty response as usual maybe even to be banned, doesn't bother me, I can still read the comments which is what I prefer to do anyway.

blueray

{Ed002's Note - The charge was dealt with by an Independent Commission - independent of the Premier League and member clubs, including Everton. The members are appointed by independent Chair of the Premier League Judicial Panel - a very senior Barrister. They are not appointed by the Premier League. The two charges relate to separate years and were investigated - there was no pleading of guilt. Everton attempted to defend their failings and decided not to ask for admissions from some senior staff who may have helped. I assume you don't understand the word "corrupt" and which other clubs with more serious charges have not been charged - the sentence does not even make sense. I do understand that the fans are worried about this matter and as I said originally, I think the punishment was harsh. I can have your account deleted if that is what you want.}
