Ed is it true were close to making 2 new signings, if so any ideas who, thanks

dandeblue

{Ed025's Note - bobby earmarked 3 dan, who they are is a mystery to me mate..

02 Aug 2015 07:49:46
Ed, is there any truth in the Tomas Andrade and Kortney House links, also I've heard were in for Austin

dandeblue

{Ed025's Note - nothing on andrade or hause dan, we have been linked to austin but newcastle look favourites mate..

1.) 02 Aug 2015 09:21:14
McLaren on ssn stating they have made no contact for Austin.
Could be all smoke and mirrors though

2.) 02 Aug 2015 11:23:52
I have seen these rumours but again promising young players, also Soton apparently have opened bidding on van dijk £8m, what's frustrating is although I agree with the idea of bringing young talent through its no good if we are going to sell them as it seems with stones.
What is also more annoying is that we need some experienced players to bolster the first team, leaving signings till late in the window gives them no time to integrate into the pre season preparations.

Ed is it true McCarthy wants out?

dandeblue

{Ed025's Note - he is not happy about his wage scale dan and apparently feels undervalued but i dont know if he wants out or a rise mate..

1.) 26 Jul 2015 08:51:05
Shame if he goes but tbh u cudnt blame him were going nowhere fast

2.) 26 Jul 2015 16:06:54
Thing is guys what does he actually bring to the team? Huge work rate chasing the ball but not much going forward tends to go sideways, just my opinion.

3.) 26 Jul 2015 16:44:14
I totally agree with lancerboy he does a lot of running around but no end product. I'd take dembele, Lennon and 10m for him from Spurs . Get van Dijk for the 10m . Keep stones and that's us sorted plus maybe Roberts on loan.

26 Jul 2015 06:05:11
Ed, hearing rumours we will bid for Austin and the celtic cb, van dijk or whatever he's called. Have u heard anything and does that mean were spending sum money or is stones leaving, thanks

dandeblue

{Ed025's Note - we have inquired about austin and van dijk dan and that was before the speculation about stones, but asking and actually putting our hand in our pocket are two different things, apparently austin wants to stay in the capital and van dijk has lots of admirers but you never know mate, stones going is a 50/50 call for me..

1.) 26 Jul 2015 08:51:50
Can't see us getting Austin and van dijk only if stones goes. Think stones will stay

17 Jul 2015 14:06:37
Ed is it possible we would sell stones and would he be interested in leaving for Chelsea at this moment in time, thanks

dandeblue

{Ed001's Note - I doubt Chelsea would be bidding without having checked he would be willing to join them if they can agree a fee to be honest. It is very rare clubs make major moves without doing that before hand. The question is more about whether Chelsea would be willing to pay enough to make Everton sell, that I have no idea about. I do know Everton will not sell him cheap, they do not want to sell.}

1.) 17 Jul 2015 14:58:19
Ed do you think if stupid money is offered I say stupid because he is worth every penny but for instance 40mil would he go?? I feel we would have no choice than to sell.

{Ed001's Note - if the money is big enough the club would sell, but it would have to be an offer they felt they couldn't turn down.}

2.) 17 Jul 2015 15:00:21
Rememher Utd signing Ferdinand for 30 mill sayin he was a future England captain well they r sayin the same about Stones think it's a insult to offer 20 mill what happened to inflation the offer should of been at least 50 mill considering what Liverpool got 4 Nancy Boy

3.) 17 Jul 2015 15:47:51
Really gutted about this one! Chelsea ain't going to give up! And why would they, the guy is as people say going to captain England and has everything to be the best centre half in Europe. Mourinho ain't no mug, and that's why he's in for him. Reckon no less than £35m and try to get him back for 12 month loan deal

4.) 17 Jul 2015 17:30:32
Ed, does that mean stones would want to join Chelsea then? This is one player we can't afford to lose no matter what

{Ed001's Note - he would be open to a move, but he is not pushing for one, at the moment anyway.}

5.) 17 Jul 2015 20:36:46
Alls I have to say on this matter is they sold David 'nutmeg'Luiz for £50m so they no the going rate and Stones is a much better defender than Luiz already. Stones stats from last season for tackles won and blocks were better than both Terry and Cahill.

6.) 17 Jul 2015 22:45:54
Not that I want to lose Stones but when values are thrown about, Sterling £49m and he wanted to move, David Luis was £50m I believe and he wanted to move and was and is no way near as good as Stones so it would have to be well in excess of that to tempt me if I was in charge! But then it would only be a temptation that I would resist ☺️

Robles coleman garbutt browning stones Holgate mcaleny deulofeu Helen mccarthey lukaku plus the other youngsters on the fringes plus the likes of miralles Cleverley Barkley naismith the experience of osman jags baines add a few more additions and change our tactics from time to time and that's the making of a seriously good squad

dandeblue

1.) 13 Aug 2015 13:20:27
Will the manager change tactics, or do we need to change the manager? That is the question. He is always playing squares in round holes and vice versa and seems to have no clue how to set up a balanced team

{Ed025's Note - first season we were far from boring stevie, but he seems to have gone into his shell since mate..

2.) 13 Aug 2015 14:53:26
It's not so much the tactics it's the speed we play at especially Barry he keeps the ball too long apart from Barkley who can drive at teams we miss a link in midfield that player that can roam in between midfield and attack

3.) 13 Aug 2015 16:31:32
I don't think there is any doubt we have a very good squad, the likes of Jags, Stones, Coleman, McCarthy and Mirallas would slot in to some of the top teams like Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and City pretty easily. We have some great youngsters who are only just getting around the first team like Galloway, Browning and Ledson. We do have a good team capable of challenging for the top four if it reaches it's potential. Just our Manager cannot get them to play to their potential and is actually making them worse each week.

13 Aug 2015 09:37:43
Finally Rm has said stones not for sale and that's the end of it, cudnt he have dun this last week or the week before

dandeblue

1.) 13 Aug 2015 11:27:08
He did numerous times. And we wrote to Chelsea advising the same.

12 Aug 2015 17:10:58
Holgate under going a medical let's hope he's the first of a few

The dark side go and sign firmino who is at the copa America in a matter of a couple of days and we still haven't confirmed deulofeu it's getting ridiculous now

dandeblue

1.) 24 Jun 2015 08:24:30
Yes but the scary thing for us is they also signed Continio for 9 mill a couple of years back and that was a steal this Firmino lad looks quality and for 18 mill When is our board going to show ambition we need a quality number 10 another striker and centre half but will look to get bargain basement deals that is why we will fall further behind the top 4 simple as that.

2.) 24 Jun 2015 09:15:34
We can't seem to pull off deals because we won't pay the wages. If you want good players instead of average you got to pay the player the money. Everton football club must be raking millions in profit every season, were is it going too? Start acting like were a big club not a Swansea or a Stoke.

3.) 24 Jun 2015 12:44:13
Swansea and Stoke finished above us last season. Big club status is worth squat if the team aren't performing.

4.) 24 Jun 2015 13:10:37
Has anyone ever read or heard from the club we failed to sign a player we were after because of wages?

Someone show me evidence instead of rumour.

You msy want a player but it doesn't mean the club are looking at them. You're having a go at them not signing a player you want. It sounds nuts.

22 Jun 2015 16:51:49
Hope it works out for distin at Bournemouth, the big man's still a top defender

dandeblue

1.) 22 Jun 2015 20:04:35
Yea very good signing for them they will need his know how

He's a good player, was excellent when he was younger bit of a prima donna now but on his day very good bit like key and a good finisher

Ur right ed, but I dunno when the right time is for the change, we need a ground for starters it's going to take sumbody mega mega rich or mega mega silly to buy us, build a ground and invest in players, I really can't see it happening for a long time, maybe bk can't either and he's worried what will happen in the long term if he sells to the wrong person, and that's why he wants to stay on board

Bk saved us from oblivion, he has put every penny he has into everton fc if anyone is to blame it is the other board members, take our anger out on them not Bk, he is at loggerheads wiv them constantly as he knows were in need of finances, I for one don't want a foreign owner, I want blue Bill to stay on the board as he knows what it takes to be a blue. We have many legends who have played in blue, but I would say Bill is a true legend too eho has saves us from being nobodys

dandeblue

{Ed025's Note - im a big fan as well dan, but the fact is he is trying to hold back a tide and sooner or later things will have to change mate..

I think cleverley will surprise a few of us,I certainly hope so. Flop for me so far will be Delph, nowhere near good enough to challenge for the title, he's only been bought because he English, there's plenty better out there
