Don’t get me wrong, he’s not good enough for us, but he did look fit and sharper by the end of the season. Could be handy as a 3rd choice striker. Preference would be to get him off the phone age bill and blood a youngster of course.

I’ve been chomping at the bit for over 3 years for taking a punt on Batshuayi, always liked the player so hope we do have a go at bringing him to Goodison.
If we can get something sorted with Moise Kean, that should offset the transfer of Batshuayi.
Any idea how much Batshuayi would be available for Ed002?

Ed, where do we stand regarding transfers before deadline day, and who has the say in who we go for, or is it on hold till a new manager is appointed which may prob go on till the board agree a replacement.
{Ed002's Note - Everton have added two defenders and a winger on loan. The fans have no real understanding of the situation are absolutely trashing the owner and the club have significant FFP issues. The club has assets it may be able to sell and would like to resolve the management issue but options will be limited somwhat by it not being the most attractive of clubs to join. Fortunately the club have well paid advisors.}

The said new signings were by Rafa, who may not fit into the new managers regime, Patterson for 1, hasn't been used as of yet, the assets we have are current players, some on very high wages, the manager, whoever it is, may have to have sell some, if any, of the high earners, to get us under, and give us a transfer budget in the summer, I've no doubt, Dunc will turn resuts around, to get us safe, begining with a cup win against Brentford, i hope we can trust in the board to do the best, but i'm unsure.

No we do not understand (fully) FFP. We do know (sort of) thanks to Eds that the Club are according to Premiership and UEFA rules, in a financial mess. The owner has invested in the Club via Company loans, from the outside looking in huge outlays (transfer, wages and contract lengths) have been made in mediocre players and many Managers hired and fired. The latter partly due to supporters lack of patience. Frustration with this mess has led to belief that the 'money' men are either taking stupid advice and/ or a thoughtless scattergun approach with little football knowledge. If these advisors are highly paid, I would question for what? Again outside looking in it is either good advice being ignored or very bad advice taken as gospel. Finally if advice is being taken from Agents, then I would certainly question motive.

Villa squad already better than ours imo.
They got 100 mil for grealish and reinvested it pretty well.
They got pace with traore and Bailey
2 decent St ings and watkins with mcginn pulling strings and Douglas Luis improved in his 2nd season.
They probly do lack in defence and digne is an improvement on targett.
If the rumours of him flitting back and forth to France are right, Gerrard won't have that just like rafa never.
30 mil for a player who is nearing 30 and not really played well for 2 years, replaced by a 22 year old that cost about 17 mil.
That makes financial sense to me and probly where the Patterson money appeared from regardless.
With 8 high earners possibly off in the summer, finances should start to improve pretty quickly.
We just need the right (wiser) manager to spend it.

If rumours of his traveling back and too to France and his frustration over this being stopped and his petulance over tactics, then I'm afraid as much as I liked the player, he's not the manager and has been poor for a while maybe due to missed sessions, then add in his desire to leave and it makes perfect sense.

Every player has improved in this team, even seen Davies play well other night an delph the game before. Coleman has upped his game massively and so has Yerry an Keane, who’s to say Tosun wouldn’t score regularly if he was getting 3 or 4 chances a game, goalkeeper is a must tonight.

Why wouldn’t you ask an Ed if a possible link is true? This is a banter/ rumour/ discussion site and we’re fortunate to have some very good Ed’s with a lot of knowledge so makes sense to ask them.
Think we’re all aware we need to balance books and we’re more than likely to see a few players sold - however does that mean we won’t do any business until they are sold or will we do some deals on the proviso of sales happening?
The sensible thing to do would be to wait till we’ve made sales but as other clubs know our issues they’ll play hard ball to get the best deals and that may drag on through window meaning we have to take less than we would like to be able to get any of our incoming signings done in time. If I was an owner of a club who wanted Richarlison doubt I’d be offering top money at start of window - wouldn’t it be better to wait and see if fee drops as window progresses?
Is a mess of our own making and will be interesting to see how this window pans out.
