So Silva has signed. What a waste of money, this guy won't fix the club so we've got another 2 seasons of mediocre football and mid table disappointment to look forward to till he get a multi-million payoff.
West Ham have just got Pellegrini he's got more football nouse about him. West Ham will finish above us next season! 14th for us if we're lucky.

1.) 31 May 2018 23:27:19
Well football is about opinions I suppose.

2.) 31 May 2018 23:43:06
Come on lad have some faith, let's get behind him!

3.) 31 May 2018 23:43:13
Go support West Ham then. Rest of us want to get behind the team and manager.

4.) 01 Jun 2018 00:05:41
Seriously! Not even in the job 12 hours! Let’s get behind the team and be supporters not detractors.

5.) 01 Jun 2018 00:11:31
No pleasing some people.
Sure some people just post to get a response!
Silva’s making all the right noises at the moment. When he took over at Hull, and then Watford, his impact was immediate and exciting. If we back him, hopefully he do the same for us.

6.) 01 Jun 2018 01:16:46
Give over pierrea4, absolute dribble out your mouth. One of the up and coming managers and you whinging after not even a day. Suppose in your eyes we should of got zidane, Wenger, Mourinho, conte, guadiola or someone we wouldn't see in our dug out.

7.) 01 Jun 2018 05:43:59
You must be a red on a wind up.

8.) 01 Jun 2018 06:57:55
Have you really just said that ha ha ok let's look at Pellegrini well for a start he underchieved at Man City and that's why he was sacked he has been interviewed by Bill and Moshiri before Koeman and we gave him a wide berth he went to China and his team were 10th and struggling and he has now just pulled West ham's pants down with a 7.5 million pound deal or we could go with a young progressive manager who reading ex players thoughts on him could take us to the next level yes he could fail nothing is guaranteed but I would rather take the chance on a up and coming manager than a has been in Pellegrini just my opinion though folks.

9.) 01 Jun 2018 09:18:33
Well said bluey.

10.) 01 Jun 2018 09:43:08
Bluey79 on the players rate him front, well they are hardly likely to post any negative interviews in the article and I am pretty sure that other players wouldn't have given him such a glowing report. can't see why anyone is being negative about him yet though as he has just started and hasn't done anything to warrant criticism.

11.) 01 Jun 2018 10:07:17
Cheers billydean and sa90 and I wasn't just refering to the red echo I have heard ex players on BBC radio Live and sky sports news talking about him in glowing terms so while live you don't know what will get said and the ex players have no reason to lie.
I'm estatic with the appointment of him and brands and fully expect us to finally start Moshiri 3 year plan to start pushing the top 6.

12.) 01 Jun 2018 11:18:39
Think it's just a wind up mates, has to be?

13.) 01 Jun 2018 11:54:21
West ham has pellagrini? And he will leave the club in 6 months after being disappointed with the board because you get fed up with hearing we put a bid in for (insert player here) but he's decided to join (insert club here) but we did try.

14.) 01 Jun 2018 11:55:00
I agree pierria completely but do hope we are both proved wrong.

15.) 01 Jun 2018 11:55:35
Well said bluey. Who the hell wants another 63 yr old manager. Give me a young energetic manager anytime. I stopped watching when tosser Allerdyce was in charge. Looking forward to the new season with a lot more optimism.

16.) 01 Jun 2018 12:11:45
What a ridiculous post, my mate Grumpy will be laughing out loud from up there on high, what rubbish.

17.) 01 Jun 2018 16:58:46
Don't you just love stupid comment like this, he hasn't even got three his office door yet and someone things he's doomed, this is what's wrong with some people, your not happy with the appointment fine, but please write stuff that's true, not made up to put a status up, young with new ideas, Pellegrino old with old tactics, if he's that good there's no way on earth he would of gone to west ham, the reason he's gone to west ham because that was the best team that wanted him, Fact.

18.) 01 Jun 2018 18:46:19
Maybe pierrea4 and dark clouds would have preferred Sam to stay.

19.) 02 Jun 2018 00:05:18
Big Sam has never been relegated from the Prem!
But no would not have wanted Sam to stay but simply believe that Silva is a bad choice, time will tell.
I also would not want Pellegrini although he is a big name.
Who I would go for does not matter now anyway.
I am baffled at the choice of Silva but he talks well and a lot of younger fans like that. let's see how long it is before you turn on him Nick, not so long I reckon but do hope to be wrong.

20.) 02 Jun 2018 07:40:04
So in spite of what you said in your original comment, you wouldn't want Pellegrini? It does matter for the sake of credibility that you can say who would have been better than Silva. And of course not Simeone, Zidane, Emery, Sarri or other Fantasyland targets.

21.) 02 Jun 2018 16:41:12
I won't be turning on Silva dark clouds. I believe he is the start of something new never before experienced by this club. If he fails, then it will not only be down to him, but the DOF and board above them. let's give this bird a chance to get off the ground and show what can be achieved. I only ever turned on one manager before and that was Moyes. Thought he was useless and still do. RK I felt sorry for. Martinez and Allardyce I never even wanted in the first place. I think this new regime will surpass all our hopes. COYB.

There are a group of useless managers who always seem to find a club. They're liker the Tim Henmans of football, crap but multi millionares.
I hope the board are looking a bit higher than the following:
Sam Alladyce
Steve McClaren
Alan Pardew
Ian Dowie
Roy Hodgson
Mick mcCarthy
Neil Warnock
Steve Bruce
I Can't see SILVA being the Saviour either.
The board need to keep searching please, our saviour is out there somewhere.

1.) 23 Nov 2017 15:04:04
I like Steve Bruce! He's not the highest calibre manager ever and i think he comes up short when it comes to managing in the PL, but he seems like a genuinely decent guy who goes into a club, steadys the ship and builds a solid foundation for a new manager to then take a club forward that bit more necessary for a stay in the top division.
Not everybody can reach the highest echelons of the industry so don't disrespect him for doing the best he can.
No he's not the guy for Everton now, but if we ended up doing a Sunderland or Villa then he's exactly the kind of manager we would then want on board.

16 Nov 2017 09:29:26
I thought Everton where looking to move forward so why would you even
discuss Silva as Manager, he's happy at Watford so if that's his ambition it doesn't say much for him or Watford either, so leave him alone and get someone more deserving of EFC. Bill has to go in order to take the blinkers off to see the bigger picture. Dyche isn't the answer and I'm so pleased that Allardyce no longer wants the job, because there weren't many who wanted him plus it would have been another bad decision from the board. The Board need to take their time and get it right. I'd settle just for three points on saturday that's progress for me. Game by Game at the moment. DU till the New Year.

100% agree. Rhino needs to be given some time. The players are right behind him and I think he needs a fair crack of the whip. All this nonsense about him not playing certain players etc. He sees much more than us on the training field and maybe these certain players ain't performing. For however long he’s in charge I believe we need to get right behind him. He can’t please all of us in his team selections but this would be the same for any other manager also. Looking forward to the Palace game at weekend coyb!

2.) 16 Nov 2017 10:50:42
Agree. But even though we are away from home, we are playing bottome of the table. Personal opinion is that if the board are split between Moshri wanting to bring someone in and Kenwright wanting to stick with Unsworth, then this upcoming game is crucial.

3.) 16 Nov 2017 12:54:05
Unsworth has utilised what he knows best that has been the U23's and I am impressed the way the young lad Bangingime has stepped up!
However he seems to have dismissed Vlasic one of our better signings and has yet to work out how to get the best from Siggs, also Sandro has been nowhere of late!
If he has aspirations to be first team manager then I'm sure the board will want to get the best from their investments as well as an improvement on results!

4.) 16 Nov 2017 15:34:01
I was actually talking about Vlasic wakka and how he sees him and the rest of the players play a lot more football then we do. I’ve also been impressed by him, doesn’t mean he’ll play every game though. Not getting on the lads back but Sandro has been nowhere since we signed him and I’m quite sure if we won a handful of matches the board would be happy with whoever we played as that job is down to the manager and no-one else. Quite sure we’d all select different first teams as well. All my point is (as the OP mentioned) the bloke deserves a run of games.

5.) 16 Nov 2017 16:03:24
I understand what you mean dog, but vlasic has performed well in games, It looks like Unsy will get a run anyway as I cannot see anyone near to coming at this time.

So I haven't posted for quite a while, probably since Moyes went and so far I haven't been wrong. Martinez wasn't the guy to move us forward and Keoman should never have been employed as manager because he didn't have the required skills to take Everton forward, so since Moyes left the team have been going backward. Unsworth isn't the answer and if Allardyce the cheat/ money grabber or Dyche turn up then we're moving even further back. Something bad has happened at the club for things to go so wrong. I point the finger at Bill Kenwright for making the poor decision to bring in Martinez, Moyes was becoming boring and Martinez was a joke. Keoman was Mashiri's mate and that was a big mistake too. After Moyes I wanted Di Matteo as he had done the business and proved himself at Chelsea. I'd still put him ahead of anyone else at the moment. There isn't much out there so let's hope the boardroom split can be sorted and that they actually listen to what the fans are saying. There's 28 games and 84 points still to play for that's enough to get us safe, that has to be the priority now, no talk of Europe etc because once again the boys have proved they're not good enough so the sooner the European fiasco finishes the sooner they can concentrate on trying to win a game in the premier league.

{Ed025's Note - welcome back mate..

1.) 30 Oct 2017 22:27:32
The fans are saying dozens of different things and it changes after every game. Just a few days ago, Rhino got as many votes as all other candidates put together in a poll on here; now almost nobody wants him. Also, the vast majority on here wanted Koeman at the time he was appointed (read the posts - I remember having the debates) - it wasn't just Moshiri who wanted a big name. If the board listened to the fans, it would be even more chaotic than it already is!

Again whatever happens later Martinez isn't the guy to take Everton forward he has to go and Bill must see that otherwise we may as well support Preston.

Whatever happens on Saturday, I'd like to see RM big enough to resign saying he's not good enough to lead Everton, not that he ever was.

Won't happen.

I Meant what I said about glad we got beat, and I've supported Everton for 49years so like the rest of you there hasn't been much in all those years to actually get excited about. Unless Martinez goes and money comes in we'll just be another Stoke City, although they are playing better than us. As for Mark Hughes as manager of the blues, that's another step backwards. We need a big name manager with some credential and buyers with lots of money otherwise it'll be same old same old for years to come.

So Mr Moyes has gone the thing now is who will he take with him and how will it affect the rest of the team. Who will replace him? I personally wouldn't want Martinez, what's he done for Wigan they've spent the last few season fighting relegation, so if we're looking for a new manager let's make it someone special. I'd prefer Roberto Matteo than Martinez, keep away from the likes of Mark Hughes, and Steve McClaren, or go for someone from abroad rather than picking from the same old group of losers who will stay for a few months, then watch the team produce miserable results get sacked and leave with a pocket full of millions for being crap. Let's hope the board have some ambition about their decision and choose someone who will show passion & committment to the teams and their supporters.
