Sky Sports News‏ @Everton make improved bid for @SwansOfficial midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson worth up to £45m, Sky sources understand #ssn Ed002.

sealand2011

{Ed002's Note - So I hear.}

1.) 24 Jul 2017 19:12:01
Koeman was also in Southampton today!

2.) 24 Jul 2017 20:19:38
Well he still has links down there. Seen the crap weather we have had up here lately.

3.) 24 Jul 2017 21:06:49
Rejected! Swansea are doing their best to unsettle a player that already wants to leave further. If we walk away from this and buy someone else I can't see another club paying 50m for Sig and they will be left with one seriously p***ed off player and that will do them more damage than good.

4.) 24 Jul 2017 20:36:25
According to Liverpool echo Swansea have rejected are second bid and are demanding 50 mil personally if we going to spend 50 mil on a player prefer it to be on a striker.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 23:11:19
Is it me or is it starting to be a joke. I'd walk away. Not the only player left on the planet!

6.) 24 Jul 2017 23:57:06
We have to look at who we can attract rather than how much they cost. The thought process of go get someone else is silly because players of that stature and ability are not coming to us this season. We need to understand and appreciate our standing within the game. It's not so high.

Personally I think we need another 9 although I have always felt mirallas could play there. Anyway we can't just go and buy anyone we don't even have European football yet. Let's just see where we are at by the time the window closes.

7.) 25 Jul 2017 00:23:27
£50m seems to be all the rage! It's what they want for Gylfi, Leicester want for Mahrez, the price of that was quoted for Mendy and Walker!
Perhaps we aren't asking enough for Jimmy Mc!

8.) 25 Jul 2017 06:50:25
wasn't aware we were trying to get rid of jimmy mc it would be very short sighted to let a player like mcca go when building a squad if we have an injury to morgan or gueye who would we turn to? jimmy mc is our best prospect of not being weakened by an injury to either of our dm's. surely we can change his training schedule so he is less injury prone and if we can't do that then it would be an easy conversation for the manager to have with him as to why he isn't first choice and he would be better back-up than anyone we could bring in given that we are now checking down the back of the sofa for 5 mill for the most overrated and over priced player on the market, gylfi. imo.

9.) 25 Jul 2017 07:42:49
Supposedly we are happy to let him go and have quoted £25m as the fee to Newcastle according to the press.

10.) 25 Jul 2017 11:03:08
Totally agree floats and Southern Toffee. Only problem is McCarthy might not be happy with that. He may want first team football somewhere else.

Svenny there are plenty of players out there besides GS. He is not the be all and end all. That's simply what I was saying. As far I can see we seem to be far more attractive to quality players this summer. Look how many we signed. Not up there with the likes of Man City with attracting players bit still very much more improved in that department than last year or plenty of the past years.

As far as I know we do have European football Svenny. Ours to lose.

11.) 25 Jul 2017 13:17:38
there is a joke in there somewhere that jimmy mc would want first team football he spends most of his time injured would that change if he left us . probs not at least he is in a good squad, atm and on a good wage can't see any of the teams in for him paying better than us . he would have to accept he is injury prone and can't play every game. altho i believe he can change his training schedule and play more often. i like jimmy if i am honest don't want him to go he is way better than other options we have, as replacement for morgan and gana. give him improved terms to keep him just as important to getting players in is keeping the ones you have quality in this position would cost more than we would get for him. given that most players would be sold for an initial cost then a payments scheme. like i already said would be short sighted.

12.) 25 Jul 2017 17:11:19
Floats your posts confuse me at times. What your saying McCarthy should know that he is going to be injured all the time?

Surely that's the only joke here. No player keeps going thinking that he is about to get injured. None of us are fortune tellers. As far as any of us know he may never get injured again for the next 10 years. The mentality every player poses surely. Just because he had a bad year or 2 doesn't mean he is always going to be that way.

Too hard on himself imho. Even the way he plays. Busts a gut for the team. Undervalued and underrated player.

Yarmolenko 9 million deal to Everton?

sealand2011

1.) 29 Jan 2017 00:26:54
There's the token yermolenko story

2.) 29 Jan 2017 00:37:06
The rumour that won't go away. But this time only 9 million where did you hear this one?

3.) 29 Jan 2017 02:59:29
It's in the s*n. take it with more than a pinch of salt. I'll believe it when I see him in blue.

4.) 29 Jan 2017 08:29:57
Probably being flown over on Riquelme airways

5.) 29 Jan 2017 08:36:54
Tottenham will get him

6.) 29 Jan 2017 09:04:55
It's a total non story. Complete fiction. More reliable truth in DC comics.

7.) 29 Jan 2017 10:22:12
So are you saying Batman Superman and the Green Arrow are not real?

8.) 29 Jan 2017 11:33:24
Certainly more real than Yarmalenko the media are always bigging him up and to be quite honest I really do not see how he could improve us.

9.) 29 Jan 2017 13:27:07
Surley he's got to be better than Valencia?

10.) 29 Jan 2017 14:30:25
He's getting signed up in a quadruple swoop alongside Riquelme, Winnie Parks and David Nugent. You heard it here first.

Argentinian Midfielder Leandro Paredes, 22 of Roma could be a possible target for Everton

sealand2011

1.) 28 Jan 2017 17:45:49
Our noisy neighbours were after him last year and roma said no. good young player and a bit of a coup if we get him

{Ed002's Note - Would this be as a replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin?}

2.) 28 Jan 2017 19:34:43
Ha ha not at all eds. I watch a lot of Italian football and have friends and the odd family member who are roma fans. the ones I speak to think highly of him and think there's more to come from him. Supposed there letting him go

{Ed002's Note - They have signed a replacement on loan with view to a permanent move and have offered him to another club as part of a deal for someone else. I don't see Everton involved in any of this.}

Blues Announce Sure Partnership
Everton Football Club has signed a partnership with Sure, Unilever’s market-leading deodorant brand, making them the Club’s first official antiperspirant partner.
As part of the three-season deal, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley will become a brand ambassador for Sure, and will feature prominently in a promotional campaign planned for the second half of this season.
The multi-platform campaign will include analysis of how Everton’s players perform in high pressure moments. Using the hashtag #NeverMoreSure it will demonstrate that the difference between winning and losing is linked to the ability to perform under pressure.
Sure will benefit from range of partnership assets including stadium advertising, digital content, match tickets and hospitality, access to first team players and a range of ‘money can’t buy’ experiences.
Commenting on the new partnership, Claudio Bellen, Senior Brand Manager of Sure UK and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Everton. We understand both the popularity and the passion associated with football and we think through our #NeverMoreSure campaign [and our partnership with Perform Media] we’ve developed a concept which fans will really respond to. Aside from our social media content which will be providing unique insights into player performance, we will also be running a number of competitions where Everton fans will be able to win tickets and exclusive experiences. There’s a lot to look forward to, so we can’t wait to get underway. ”
Everton Football Club’s Head of Commercial, Alan McTavish, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Sure to our growing partnership portfolio and to build on our recent high profile announcements by introducing a household name brand like Sure. Sure is a brand which values confidence, innovation and a passion for football, and these qualities shine through in the engagement activities they have lined up. Everyone at the Club is looking forward to taking part in what we are certain will be an exciting campaign, and a long and successful relationship with Sure. "

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says James Rodriguez will stay at the Bernabeu this summer.
That now leaves Isco or Julian Draxler as the possible signing for Everton after former player on Twitter Danny Gabbidon suggested the other night that Everton were after one of three players.

I can't wait for the transfer window to close. All these rumours are driving me crazy.

William Carvalho maybe the next player Joining Everton from Sporting Lisbon.

sealand2011

1.) 15 Aug 2016 15:41:41
Is that a guess or is there something to it?

2.) 15 Aug 2016 16:09:54
Do we really need him? Gueye looks the real deal imo.

3.) 15 Aug 2016 17:12:05
We need a new deep lying playmaker, to be the heir to Barry, but I'm not sure Carvalho is that player.
