Schneiderlen and depay getting mentioned constantly however I've also heard ashley young is being lined up also. 7million fee.
Whats your thouggts blues. I would be happy with all 3!

tonytheblue

1.) 10 Jan 2017 10:04:48
Surely we would never get all 3? I'm Optimistic we will get MS I think he will be a great signing. I'd take Memphis and young but I hope we keep Del. Maybe strength and creativity in the middle would encourage our wingers. I am sure we will get the signings we need. This time next year rodney!

2.) 10 Jan 2017 10:24:22
Why on earth would we want Ashley Young? He is the polar opposite to his surname, I think the biggest thing we need is going to be a new manager before long, I hate to be jumping the gun but Koeman seems to be nearly as clueless as Roberto, his substitutions and tactics are mystifying at times, and trying to aquire Schneiderlin and fonte is just bad news, the old pals act in football rarely ever works, koemans soton team never finished above 6th, we aspire to higher than that long term so those players aren't going to be good enough I feel .

3.) 10 Jan 2017 10:41:42
Schneiderlin is better than what we have Danny. Who on your list is a realistic signing Messi Ronaldo? i'd be surprised if Fonte was a target age price etc red top fodder. We won't sign young.

4.) 10 Jan 2017 10:54:17
Neither Messi or Ronaldo is on my list, but a striker would be, a winger and a creative Mid, I wouldn't trust Koemans judgement on players after the Bolasie signing, 27 million for someone who doesn't create or score enough, Schneiderlin will not alter the way we are currently playing at all .

5.) 10 Jan 2017 11:11:05
We definitely need creativity but Mc and Barry also need replacing MS and Ghanna with a creative midfielder surely is a great wish.

6.) 10 Jan 2017 11:52:59
Not another past it man utd player. Just wait til Michael Carrick is surplus to requirements and we are linked to him.

7.) 10 Jan 2017 12:16:30
Where are we going? Is it a team for now or are we going to build somthing? Fonte is to old! Look at spuds young exciting players. Isn't that a better way instead of oldies that cost an won't make to much differance!

8.) 10 Jan 2017 13:14:23
Agree Goodison. If we're going to have a revolution then let's have a proper one. It's not like we are going to get relegated. So let's use the rest of the season to bring the age of the side down. By the way talking about young players. Nice to see Pennington back playing, bloody good player.

9.) 10 Jan 2017 15:42:50
Am i the only one slightly concerned about us buying older players without much shelf life in them. I am hoping Steve Walsh can unearth some unknown young gems in the Payet, Mahrez, Lanzini, Dembele mold. I don't really want us buying players over 30 unless they are cheap. Why the hell we weren't all over Dembele when he was leaving Fulham for £500k 6 months ago I have no idea! But is does show that there are real bargains out there if you know your stuff. If we are going to rebuild then let's do it properly and take our time and shift the dead wood and only bring in players that go straight into the 1st team, improve the squad OR are bright young prospects. On another note please structure contracts to incentivise players. Lower basic pay with decent results based add ons.

10.) 10 Jan 2017 15:47:52
To say Bolasie doesn't create is a bit much, fact is he's put so many on a plate for the likes of Lukaku, Barkley, McCarthey etc and they have missed those sitters, the stats do lie at times. we need to build from the back, a quality keeper is needed followed by 2 World Class Centre halves, that's what is needed.

11.) 10 Jan 2017 17:18:16
Bolasie never produced much at palace, he never produced much for us before he got injured, his crossing is absolutely woeful, he over hits everything, his shooting is woeful, mirallas, del, Lennon and Barkley have been dropped at various points for doing no worse than Bolasie was doing, only difference is that Koeman brought Bolasie to the club, he cost 27-30 million, he was a bad buy end of .

12.) 10 Jan 2017 22:13:43
Dembele signed for Celtic sensibly to get regular first team football, which we couldn't promise him at that stage. Sometimes fans think a club can just choose who they want to buy and the player doesn't even get a say. As often as not, it's the player isn't interested in coming rather than we didn't look at them.

28 Dec 2016 22:32:21
Barkley wanted at spurs. Alderwireld to us in a swap. Left out of spurs squad tonight.

tonytheblue

1.) 28 Dec 2016 22:56:31
Can't see it mate.

2.) 28 Dec 2016 23:01:01
Come on, be serious at least.

3.) 29 Dec 2016 01:02:40
Just like there are "lies, damned lies, and statistics", there are 'transfer rumours, damned transfer rumours, and Everton banter'.

4.) 29 Dec 2016 15:41:52
Okay this is a rumour site but that is just ridiculous.

31 Aug 2016 09:21:12
Bony seen at stoke. Spurs bid for sissoko. Are we running out of targets!

tonytheblue

1.) 31 Aug 2016 09:44:22
We are in advanced negotiations for sissoko aparently.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 10:04:09
Spurs cool interest in Sissoko due to fee.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 11:19:13
Just read that too. I am guessing we are closer to their valuation than Spurs. same as with a number of players. these players would rather play with Champions League clubs but when they do not offer enough the "selling" clubs refuse to deal. looks like a 10.59pm signing spree with the risk of one or two missing out. oh the joys of the transfer window!

4.) 31 Aug 2016 11:21:18
Says on Ssn sisoko going to Spurs.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 11:53:50
also says Everton have not made contact directly with Newcastle? Going to be a bumpy ride I think.

15 Aug 2016 17:23:21
Koeman been offered 50 million and remy but wants 55 million and fabregas for lukaku. May be lies but just a rumour doing the rounds.

tonytheblue

{Ed002's Note - Not by Chelsea, and it would be nothing to do with Koeman.}

1.) 15 Aug 2016 17:38:08
Can I ask by which club an offer was made for Lukaku, Ed002? I realize it's not Chelsea related, but being Belgian I'm curious to see where Lukaku might end up :-)

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about.}

2.) 15 Aug 2016 18:18:03
Would be a brilliant deal but is 100% not happening.

3.) 15 Aug 2016 20:39:58
Wooops, Ed, I misinterpreted your reply to the original post. Sorry :-)

26 Jul 2016 09:00:29
Rumour I've heard is jose fonte from southampton fee of 5million. Solid centre back to boost numbers. Excellent euro 2016. Aged 32 i believe. Thoughts?

tonytheblue

1.) 26 Jul 2016 09:04:53
Not for me, the lad form Napoli or youngster from juve or the Austrian at Kiev.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 09:06:14
Hmm I would get the idea of bringing in someone experienced to help some of the talented kids we have in this position, but isn't that what jagielka is for?

3.) 26 Jul 2016 09:20:25
I would take him think we miss a leader at the back with good experience remember Distan/ Stubbs/ Weir / gough all dun well for us in the twilight of their careers.

4.) 26 Jul 2016 09:46:07
It obviously looks like we are going to have to get into Europe to attract bigger names so if this is a player who can shore up the defence and make us a better prospect in the future then I would take him. I want to go back to enjoying watching us and know there us a plan for the future.

5.) 26 Jul 2016 12:03:01
I think it's v unlikely we going to get this napoli guy. See him going to Chelsea. Fonte not a bad player but not someone get excited about.

6.) 26 Jul 2016 13:25:21
Jags has still got a few seasons left in him. Thought he was one of our better players last season. Get bmi from porto to sit along side him or kane from Burnley,

7.) 26 Jul 2016 15:47:30
I highly doubt he'd leave Saints. He's been there since the League One days. He's now their captain and I don't see the incentive for the switch when Southampton have consistently beaten their previous season for 7 years or so now. They're also playing Europa League football this year so I see no incentive.

8.) 26 Jul 2016 20:12:29
Stones for £50m but Fonte for £5m!

Former not good enough for a poor England side, latter wins the Euros.

Someone needs to get to know their football.

19 Dec 2015 22:02:05
Is it me or does anyone else think that mirallas should be starting instead of kone head.

tonytheblue

1.) 19 Dec 2015 23:13:02
its obvious mate.

2.) 20 Dec 2015 02:40:17
Everyone thinks that, except the manager. Are we ALL wrong? Or is he stubborn. We both know the answer.

08 Aug 2015 15:51:55
I'm at the game and our lack of summer activity is glaringly obvious. A long hard season is ahead if we don't get new additions. Much more of this and in about 5 weeks time we will be after another manager. Awful. No creativity. Honda Shaqiri anybody pleeeeeease

tonytheblue

1.) 08 Aug 2015 15:56:54
Were getting desperate now linked with Shaqiri. he's overweight, lazy and Inter can't wait to get shot. Just watched first half the teams in a mess.

22 Jul 2015 09:23:58
Stones has potential yes. However he didn't stand out at all last season as we shipped goals. 34 million. A good deal. Even if bobby gets 20 of it to spend we can get in good proven replacements. Let's get behind the club and not keep slating them. If the price is right every club sells their players.

tonytheblue

1.) 22 Jul 2015 10:55:35
If it happens then Van Dijk, not Evans or vidic, needs to be bought.I don't want stones to go but every player has a price.just hope we stand firm on the fee and not give moaner mourinho a option of offering a penny less than we want. If stones wants to join a small club like Chelsea with limited history, before becoming billionaires, then so be it. Less game time than at everton.

01 Sep 2014 22:57:33
Without doubt the most disappointing deadline day in my memory as a blue

tonytheblue

1.) 01 Sep 2014 23:01:23
How

2.) Really Tony? Because we got our business done early? Business that has included smashing our transfer record. Also not one mention of any late bids for our star players. If I'm honest I think it goes down as one of the best deadline days ever!

01 Jul 2014 10:25:05
Is it me or should bobby be back here now sorting the squad out for the new season instead of being a pundit on the other side of the world. Thoughts ed

tonytheblue

{Ed025's Note - he is there to assess players and make contact with agents and players tony, the punditry is just a sideline mate..

1.) I still think Tony has a point. Now that the window has officially opened, I would rather see Roberto at Finch Farm working on transfer deals on this side of the Atlantic.

2.) Do you really believe that RM is the only one at Everton involved in transfer negotiations? Surely he's just one - admittedly the most important one- who's involved. Bill Kenwright, Robert Elstone, the club's accountancy and legal advisers must all be involved in the negotiations. The idea that RM can't do his bit away from Finch Farm in this day-and-age of modern communications seems inconceivable to me. Besides, he's surely in the company of lots of other managers, agents, etc., while he's at the World Cup and could be dealing with them face-to-face. But, hey, what do I know - I'm just a fan, not a professional football person. By the way, I did mean person, not what the Eds mean by "person" ;-)

3.) 01 Jul 2014 23:52:43
I think I'd rather have him at the world cup, networking or whatever you want to call it. As Sid says, he is face to face with agents and players. There will be others back here doing the ground work and RM is only a video conference away. This shouldn't be a major issue

Got to give kone a chance. He hasn't had any luck with the injury. He will need backing not slating. Only made a couple of appearances. Not his fault
