Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

i was just thinking, and also read a comment about us not having a hard case in midfield, that a player we should look at is Gattuso. He's old and shouldn't cost too much, he's a hard case and dosen't get injured easily + on top of that he's a good player with alot of experience and might probably welcome the idea of playing out the rest of his career in the PL which is probably the best and most physical league in the world.
tell me what you think of this idea Ed and everyone else. {Ed025's Note - i happen to like him, but his wages would be well out of our league..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We need a hardcase, not a 33 year old man released from the loony bin

Agree0 Disagree0

If we did get Gattuso this would be a good starting XI
Howard
Hibbert Distin Jagielka Baines
Fellani Gattuso
Coleman Barkley
Cahill
Beckford

Then have Arteta,Rodwell,Saha,Neville,Heitinga and Osman on the bench
This way we have a very tough midfield who can protect the back 4, two VERY talented young wingers with Cahill playing behind Beckford plus our bench is very strong and when a player is subbed off he will be replaced by a player of roughly the same standard

Agree0 Disagree0

U dreamin mate.hibbert.lol.no saha wake up

Agree0 Disagree0

Saha is there ur the one that needs to wake up
And whats wrong with Hibbert? Hes a solid and experienced right-back, besides who else would play there? Coleman is a better winger because he is not defensive minded and dosen't have half as much experience at right back as Hibbert

Agree0 Disagree0

Gatusso is awful hes just an angry head he is basically a poor mans johnny heitinga yes hes won the world cup and champions but with world class players around him Fellaini is a much much much better player than he ever was {Ed025's Note - fellaini is more of a creative player..gatusso i see as an enforcer, but i would take him..the time for being fussy, has long since past..

The summer brought fears of losing players, but despite the rumours in the British press linking Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, Marouane Fellaini and Jack Rodwell with moves away from Goodison Park they are all still here and ready for the new season. That is a huge positive for the squad and while they share the fans frustrations over the lack of signings, the mood at goodison thankfully appears much more upbeat {Ed025's Note - your a very positive person...and i like it..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I am looking forward to this season and i am hopeful of getting a couple of useful additions on loan before the month is out

Agree0 Disagree0

I expected at least one of Jags, Rodwell, Fellaini or Baines to go, but they've all stayed so far and we've seen the emergence of Barkley who will add some youthful enthusiasm to the midfield. {Ed025's Note - not losing jags was a major boost...davids influence me think..

Agree0 Disagree0

I would always prefer to hang on to our best players and not sell them like sunderland and villa to fund transfers. {Ed025's Note - yes..but a signing or 2 may give us a lift..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish I was that positive, but with lack of investment, new signings, inuries to Arteta and now Coleman, it is just starting to look bleak. I have always been excited for the season to start, but this season I just feel like we are going through the motions {Ed025's Note - wait till it starts...all the excitement will come back....and i cant wait!

Agree0 Disagree0

We have done well to keep hold of the squad. Just treading water costs money these days. Just frustrating that we are literally just one or two players away from being a top 6 side in my view.

Agree0 Disagree0

I also think that Beckford is gonna surprise us this season and bang a few goals in. Let's stay positive blues. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - im with you there wavo

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally, I am happy that we have so far held on to our top players and see this as a bigger plus than the lack of additions is a minus - it would be so easy to sell a Rodwell or Fellaini and buy 2 or 3 players, but to me it gives the wrong message about Everton FC, we need to keep on showingwe can retain our best players and it shows we have moved on a lot in the last 10 years

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw that Cahill said that the lack of sigings wasn't worrying him, I have to say that I am actually quite optomistic myself, we have a good squad and some really promising youngsters. Gueye has been really good pre season, that gives us strength on the left and needless to say Barkleys been incredible. I just think that the more critisism the fans throw the players and staff then the worse moral will be the pitch. We need to get behind the team and boost them to get a good start, the more negative we are the worse the moral will be {Ed025's Note - i get your point mate...but to be fair its not been the best of times, we have high expectations, and want the club to progress...

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Yeah we need to get behind them this year. COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's exciting to make signings, it keeps the players on their toes.

My only worry is that players are getting too comfortable with no challenge for places, as it seems most of the time we are lucky to field a starting eleven. {Ed025's Note - you talk a lot of sense my friend..

Agree0 Disagree0

A couple more players would be nice but with our financal situation the best we can hope for is a lone move or a new youngster, I realise that Gueye and Coleman are injured but when they come back we will get a little boost off that. {Ed025's Note - the one thing you can say about the blues...they will always give 100%...the supporters and manager will accept nothing less..

Agree0 Disagree0

A squad that stands still is one that goes backwards. The gap between us and the top 4 is much wider than it was 2-3 years ago now. {Ed025's Note - its not so much a gap...as an abyss...its a case of the haves...and have-nots, unfortunately, we fall into the latter..

Agree0 Disagree0

We may not buy any players this window, bar a free like Barton. But I have a feeling we'll add near the end of the month with some loan deals. {Ed025's Note - lets hope so mate

Agree0 Disagree0

The loan market gets going towards the end of the window, so hopefully moyes might line up a couple of players on 12 month deals, krancjar and bellamy would be great {Ed025's Note - they certainly would..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh lets all say f*** all ever and just agree with watever everton dont do in the transfer market and lets all be the tramps ov the premier league nooooooooooooooooo nil satis nisi optimum does not stand for only mid table will do.

With coleman out now for a while, surely we need to sign a winger / right sided player in our midfield. Should we try getting SWP in or how about Bentley from spurs? Come on we need 2 signings at least {Ed025's Note - you think??

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think we need a right sided player. Barkley looks a player that can do a job anywhere, but hopefully he won't just be shoved out on the right. I'd definitely take a loan signing to help us out here {Ed025's Note - i would take anyone at the moment..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather play Coleman, on crutches, than sign SWP or Bentley. {Ed025's Note - they are a bit lightweight...but as loan signings..maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

Or perhaps bill can borrow some money and we can go for holtby? {Ed025's Note - everyone is bigging holtby up...cos his dad supports the blues, he is not all that...trust me

Agree0 Disagree0

We've needed a dedicated right sided player for ages. Coleman's injury just makes us need one that bit more. {Ed025's Note - agreed..

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone ed? james mcfadden? {Ed025's Note - you found my weakness....anyone...except mcfadden...lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman is so important to us it's rididculous, he was our one direct threat last season and always put a solid shift out on the right even if he wasn't at peak form, so yes it's very important to get someone in on that right hand side, whether we can is the problem. {Ed025's Note - it sure is..

Agree0 Disagree0

Midfield ..arteta..fellini.rodwell.osman..gueye {Ed025's Note - sounds good to me..

that tackle on seamus has got me thinking about our unbelievable injury record. i think whats been missing is a real hardcase at Everton. look over the park and those redpoops have had an overlapping of players willing to threaten the opposition if they come on too heavy- stevie is on his way out so they get adam in, tommy smith came in to see out ron yeats, souness came after smith etc etc. i remember someone saying- `hey mr shankly, what team are you putting out` his reply -`same team as last season`. we get kicked to bits regularly. big vic missed his chance to turn his career around by snapping macheda in two. we really need a player like joey barton who will let the opposition know that if they cripple us, its fcken payback. we get no respect by being nicey-nice, its a tough game so lets get a tough player or 2 {Ed025's Note - i agree with the barton shout..i remember peter reid...no one messed with him..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Agree 100%. Our squad is far, far too polite, which is why we throw away stupid games against clubs like Blackburn and Bolton.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've got Heitinga,Neville,Rodwell and Cahill who can act like mad tits when they want to. I've seen them do it but they don't anymore. I got very excited when Neville had a rant on Mancini last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Johnny is our hard man, him and barton would sort anyone out {Ed025's Note - and on the pitch as well..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh god, imagine Felli, Heitinga and Barton in the middle, they wouldn't come near us haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Is everyone forgetting about beckford? if you watched the match against villareal you would of seen him fronting up to two players at the same time, and its not the first time hes done it in our shirt

i've been an Evertonian over 30 years now , we have been through worse times in the past . Fair enough all Everton fans are at boiling point because of the board, lack of funds and no new signings. looking at this site tonight i see Everton fans telling their fellow FANS TO F**K OFF. where has the passion gone from you all last year with the team we had all Everton fans were talking about europe even the players. guest what this the same team with new youth in Barkley a new star in the making, Vellios and Gueye,Baxter and McAlenly.. it's now time for the senior player who didn't preform last year to step up to the plate. we Everton got on a role last year we were the form team just behind Man U. Have a little faith please god maybe one/two new face before the end of the month and we can compete for 5-6 place you never know. But we need to unite get behind the team and David Moyes i'm sure they are feeling it too. I love Everton blue blood runs through me IMWT.
Toffee Tino

Believable2 Unbelievable2

We are passionate fans that just want the best for the club. Lets get behind the blues and cheer them on for a top 6 finish. Barkley will be the star for us this season {Ed025's Note - we are the most loyal supporters in the land!..and whatever has gone on, we will always back our boys..COYB..

Agree0 Disagree0

The blues always get behind the team, we get over 35,000 at home and usually sell out away. We are passionate and we are ambitious and we will not settle until we are challenging up at the top of the table. {Ed025's Note - what you are saying is...NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM..

Silly comments on here about us getting Spurs players before the game on Sat, even Harry aint that daft. The belief is Arteta & Coleman are definitely out of the game. Seen on this site Bily is suspended and Gueye is injured dont no how true these are but take it they are.

I reckon the team Moyes will pick to play Spurs

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think barkley will start a head of vic

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get j. vellios from?

Agree0 Disagree0

A. Vellios is gone on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope barkley and gueye get an early chance this season as i think they are both capable of making a good impact in the first team {Ed025's Note - if we had a bigger squad, we could introduce them gently...but they say , if your good enough, your old enough..so why not..

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley looks like he has been playing for the blues for years. He is so calm and composed, i can't wait to see him play more this season {Ed025's Note - yes...he is a very good prospect..

Agree0 Disagree0

J.silva has gone on loan not velios

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, my bad, it was silva...

Agree0 Disagree0

Vellios will get a few games this season good tricky player and good in the air hell do alright for us

What is going on at our beloved club. I cannot believe that we have no money whatsoever. How can we be the longest serving top flight team and have no money, it makes no sense. I am so angry that we didnt go in for shane long or nzogbia. That just shows there is now no ambition at goodison park at the moment and we are going to struggle on this season. it isnt going to be pretty watching as our forward line leaves alot to be desired. Are we actually going to make any signings? Havnt even started the season and already weve lost arteta and coleman. The big concern for me now is that arteta is set up for another season of sitting out injured and then taking a while to get match fit and then when he is, let games go past him

Believable4 Unbelievable1

You f***ing idiot, of course we went in for n'zog, just we havnt got no money, get behind the team or f*** off away from the team, im sick of the negativity around the club {Ed025's Note - calm down mate.ffs...the negativity from supporters is justified!....we are all passionate blues....this negativity stems from the boardroom..not the terraces!..

why are we not in the market for Matthew Upson? Upson and Jags at the back would be brilliant for us and then we almost have an entire back 4 made up of England internationals....Baines, Jags, Upson.....sounds good to me

Also know people are against Joey Barton, but I think Moyes would be able to control him and he would do a good job for us.

Lewis Holtby obviously a frittering comment from somewhere, he would have been a great addition.

Those would have been my 3; Upson, Barton, holtby

Perhaps unloading Yobo, Yakubu and one other(billy?) could have freed up money for a deal for holtby. Would have taken Shane Long too but would never have afforded that

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Upson has signed for stoke keep up

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god we did not get Upson up he is awful and should never of been made an international. We need a striker and a left winger and maybe a free third choice GK.

Agree0 Disagree0

Upson is s**t we have 3 good cb

Agree0 Disagree0

Upson has moved, and distin is 200% better than him, so f*** off

Agree0 Disagree0

Your the type of person that makes themselves look an person on here because you want players that are worse than the ones we have and we clearly dont need id rather keep jags distin and johnny than have a completely over rated cb {Ed025's Note - so would i mate..

Robbie Keane saying today he is keen to leave Spuds as he is after a new challenge...

I know he is a former kopite but the lad does know where the back of the net is...

yobo has 3 years left on his contract, yakubu has 1 year on his contract. fingers crossed these players are either sold or go out on loan, its obviously clear moysie dont want them at the club. that would release 100 grand a week to pay wages of new players to bring in hopefully.still 3 weeks left on the transfer window, you never know we might somehow get a couple of new players in.
school of science {Ed025's Note - we have to get rid of players who are not committed to the cause...but whether that frees up funds, is another thing..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I wanna sell yobo, but not too fussed about yak, good support off of the bench and can cover when we have injuries instead of throwing in kids at the deep end

Agree0 Disagree0

Well blues, i was hoping to see a few new faces for the spurs game but it looks likely (understatement that) that we will have a similar line up to the one we have had for 2 miserable seasons now
I think;
Howard
Neville
Jagielka
Distin
Baines

Anichebe
Fellaini
Heitinga
Osman

Cahill
Saha

Not the team i would like to see but moyes is so predictable that you know he will use 4-5-1 and will play 2 defenders in midfield and for some reason play Anichebe (I honestly think i would do a better job) Shame that coleman is injured and arteta is a big doubt.
Just out of curiosity does anyone agree that we should use cahill from the bench this season instead of starting him ?
I think he is much better coming on bullying defenders in the air with 20-30 minutes to go, bit like BIG DUNC in 2004-2005 ?
Just because im bored and for a bit of fun here's the team i would like to see
Howard
Neville
Jagielka
Distin
Baines

Coleman
Fellaini
Osman
Arteta

Saha
Beckford

Mucha
Hibbert
Heitinga
Gueye
Barkley
Cahill
Yakubu

I dont rate anichebe or bilyaletdinov at all.....Billy would be great in the league he came from but he is never going to be a premiership player and anichebe i really don't know how he became a pro footballer

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Where's Rodders? Have you sold him?

coleman on bench - gueye on the wing

osman and barkley about equal

hibbo or neville at rb - depending on the opposition - they have different strengths

don't know if I like heitinger or not - he's not quite as good as jags or distin in defence - but if either of those is injured he's a v good replacement -
when he plays centre holding role he seems a bit lazy to me - stands off a bit too much instead of biting at ankles and closing down quick
doesnt seem loyal to everton either - seems to think he's better than he is - just cos he made it to world cup finals
(which is a mickey mouse tournament anyway in my eyes)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yes, sorry i meant to have rodwell instead of heitinga.
Yes, agree with you heitinga really thinks he is the dogs bollox because he made the final with holland, so what ? Jagielka and Distin have a great understanding at the back and have performed better than him and when he plays in midfield he just runs around like a headless chicken, the only decent game i think he had last season was against Man city at home when we won 2-1, not good enough though. So what you start gueye ahead of coleman then ? I didn't see much of him in america but was told he was brilliant.
What's your opinion on cahill then ? Bench, coming on or starting every game like moyes does ? {Ed025's Note - bench, coming on..if we had a new forward, but if he does not play...who scores the goals?

Agree0 Disagree0

Both of you are wrong, go support another club as people that know nothing about the club are starting to P*SS me off

Agree0 Disagree0

Game wont be on

Agree0 Disagree0

To Mr unpleasant 'Both of You are wrong' - I've probably been supporting the club for longer than you and pay about 800 a year in season tickets - so I can say what I like, both of us can, and I don't see much in our comments to warrant your pathetic 'contribution'. Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us all with your opinion instead of just saying we're both wrong. You sound like a complete nobhead to me, who doesn't feel he needs to offer a reasoned opinion himself, just goes round telling other people to *** off. You're not at home or in the pub now mr big gob - give an opinion or keep your mouth shut.
(and I'll still be here long after you've nobbed off back to jail or wherever you spend you time)

Agree0 Disagree0

Both are wrong ? Can you explain where we are wrong you idiot, your probably a teenager who plays football manager and thinks its easy to buy 6-7 player's
For your information nob head, im 39 and been a season ticket holder for 11 seasons now, how dare you disrespect me , get back on your x -box nob head and buy messi from barca ya tool

Don't know if any of you fellow blues have noticed, but not a word from moyes this summer, something is wrong and this concern's me a lot.
After the chelsea game at the end of the season when he was asked in the press conference about fresh faces for this season he said, hopefully, i'l be sitting down with the board and hoping to get a good chat all i want is a new challenge, at the moment and really embarrassingly we are the only team in the prem not to spend a single penny.
Im not one of them fans that wants us to buy a whole new team because i believe we have a good squad, but a striker for the last 2 season's now has been very obviously needed especially last season, and god knows what cover we have for baines, if he got injured we would have nothing going forward.
I went to the villareal game, i know it was only a friendly but even in that game it highlighted how poor we are at creating unless baines gets forward, we rely on him far too much and are atrikers at the minute are useless, saha is class but unreliable with fitness, beckford is nothing but an impact player with pace and anichebe i don't even know how is a footballer. Im worried about how we are going to score goals this season
