Rui Patricio looks a decent keeper good handling comes for crosses. Could do a lot worse. I think he plays for sporting so maybe a chance if we offer enough.

I would in an instant, Id be inconsistent if I played for Newcastle, 8 players on their pitch were garbage, hard being consistent when you are surrounded by shoyte.

Sissoko has had probably one good season at newcastle, got libked with arsenal then nothing for the rest of his newcastleb career. a change may be what he needs but its not a player id be over the moon with to sign.

10 days of the window being open and 5 weeks until the opening game and we have some supporters moaning we ain't made a signing. The Euros are still on, teams that were eliminated in the knockouts means them players are now on their pre season so will not be available for pre season even if they did sign. Yes I do believe we need a few arrears addressing but I would rather wait for the right player with the right character than a so called big name looking for a stepping stone. We have the most important position filled and that was the managers job, so let's sit back and be patient and let the man in charge decide who he wants and if it's possible then hopefully it will be done.

Totally agree blue gray. Manager knows best 😎 Going by last year premiership, and the euros just finished and the millions being paid or mentioned for average players (100m on Pogba, 50 m stones) there is no rush at all . 😎.

The problem for all Prem clubs is they've recieved a massive cash influx and everyone knows it.
We're entering a time of hypo inflation in transfers and it will be a game of poker, holding out in the hope that other clubs will not open up the flood gates of nonsense.
A few weeks ago 100m seemed fantasy Island money. The way things are going it might get us 3/ 4 top class players. but then they want 100K a week!
In 1930 a loaf of bread in Germany had to be paid with a heaped wheelbarrow of Reich Marks.
And if you know your history, we all know how that ended!

Look if you go back over every transfer window we have had in premier league days we have prob been linked with say 20 players over the whole window. We now linked with about 5 per day what has changed is we have money what has not changed is we won't spend money if it's not right. I'm all for signing 5/ 6 players and 2/ 3 of them being big names but if they don't fit our team then we don't sign them. I personally think we will sign 2 players we go wow and then a few players to make our already good squad and then a few youngsters.

And no I didn't miss a couple ofrom noughts of the end the price according to reports is a quid, a bullet, a nicker. The crazy world of Football today 😂.

I am shocked at some of the prices quoted. because TV money has shot up and new managers are in all over the league and need to strengthen, transfer fees seem to have gone mad.
There is a story that toure has been offered HALF A MILLION a week to go to China. that is stupid money.26 million a year. Wow.

I'm all for spend big if needed but we have had players like Cahill, arteta and Coleman for less then £10m for all 3 a lot less I think. Just because we got the cash don't mean we should throw it at anyone for any price.
