Just watched the Real Madrid v Schalke game; white hankies for the Newcastle game anyone? Hopefully El Bobo the clown will get the message that way.

It's amazing how some people are blaming the chairman/board. This season is down to management on the pitch not off it.

The manager has been given good money but his inability to change and adapt has cost us a lot in the league.

I'm amazed that the supporters, pundits and even players have pointed this out to him but he still refused to do anything about it.

If a team put up the barriers against Everton they would play with a high tempo and close down high up the pitch to keep the pressure sustained. That team used to be us that played defensive and they used to batter us. Same goes for Arsenal or anyone else who are up against a defensive minded team.

Instead he continues to play this patient passing game thinking it will bring teams out. His only answer to this was to play the occasional long ball. Power, tempo, closing down and energy is what will get us out of this mess. Play the patient game when we are 1 or 2 nil up and can counter.

Hair pulling out time and nail biting me thinks for the rest of the season.

As for Moyes, are you kidding. I can't even discuss this. The man turned traitor before he even walked out of the door. let's look forward and not backward, please.

Am I the only one who can c what's going to happen here, so called fans all turning on management and players until last few games when we in the crap and we make goodison a bear pit, a place teams fear, y wait, I don't like Martinez but I love Everton fc and I think we need to make goodison a scary place for away teams to come not the last home game when it's too late c'mon lads leta show the lads we are with them starting Thursday

I totally agree johny89 but there is a problem. The type of football we are playing is too slow and not exciting. We gain possession then Howard rolls the ball to Jags who squares it to Stones who gives it to Baines, then back to Stones then to Coleman. The crowd have just witnessed us winning possession and want an immediate break and attack play, but what happens is the other team now close us down pressing high. So the ball goes to Howard (who can't kick for toffee) so he balloons it forwards. Sometimes into touch and other times to Lukaku who is on his own because the midfielders are all so defensively minded they have dropped back to help the defence that was under pressure. By now the crowd is totally bored and fed up so there is no atmosphere. That's my assessment anyway.

Well said, Jonny. No matter how bad things get, the 12th man has to be in it to win it, even if some of the players don't feel the same. In a team in massive need of a confidence boost, booing and jeering, while understandable in many cases this season, is ultimately not going to help get the team out of this mire of horse poop they've been in all season. We should be making Goodison intimidating to visiting teams, not our own players.

Agree Johnny, when Howard Wilkinson was manager of Leeds in the mid-80's he likened a trip to Goodison like going to the dentists; 'you know it's going to hurt but you have to go' was his quote.
Let's back the boys in Blue to the hilt and get the fear factor back at the Old Lady.

I do agree with making Goodison a place for teams to fear visiting, However to cheer the team on no matter how badly they play and let's be honest this season they are playing like they would rather be somewhere else! if you continue cheering on bad proformance after bad performance then the mamnager and the players and the non existing board think all is well even more then they do now!!!!!!! Sad state of affairs . as an everton supporter since 1972, I have never felt so disbodent about watching the games and listening to Rm talk about how happy he was with the rsesponse fronm the players after going 1 down however we didin't get the result, it would make a Amish give him a slap

It's worn far too thin now, this 12th man cheering on a team so they can play it square, slighty forward, then back deep into our own territory, then finally keeper?

What does RM want 'A big Goodison roar' for every 5 passes and 2 mins. possession?

Well this doesn't cut it no more!

However, these three little words wins, points, and you know (unless you've forgotten) RESULTS,

Thats what floats my boat and I'll settle for f**k all else from now on!

watching arsenal last night and surmising that RM is a Wenger wannabe, you had to admire how they had adopted a far more direct style and less tippy tapping in front of their own 18 yard box, so RM take note and let's see us do a similar attacking style on Thursday!

wakka mate, it's not Thursday we need to worry about, it's Sundays game & the rest of our Prem fixturs.
I would give u this Eurotrash cup now, for a top half finish in the Prem.
Secure our future, get rid of Mr.Bean, & start again next season with a new chairman/owner.
What a wish list!

yes I agree HH but one game at a time, I still don't want to bomb out of the EL, but realise the priority is the PL, a win Thursday will have our confidence right for Sunday!
RM hopefully gone anyway in the summer, however no one really knows what the board think and that is a worry.

this Eurotrash cup hasn't done us much good up to now wakka.
every time we play we don't win the game after (Palace?)
but it's the board & Kenwright that's the problem for me.
as it says in the song. "can't you see what I see?"

Hh cheer up mate, it's not the board who r crap at the min, it's the whole club, if u wanna quote a song how about Michael Jackson, man in the mirror, show some positivity and it may rub off on the players instead ov moaning and getting on players backs, r own players look scared to play at home and that is down to us mate not kenright

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i dont know why you say its down to the supporters johny, its clearly down to one man..the fraud!..

10 Mar 2015 20:55:08
I agree he is out ov his depth but the players r scared ov us, one tiny mistake an we are on there backs, am not saying r form is r fault am saying intimidating r own players isn't the way to get a response let's get behind them and show them what it means to b a blue

It is a sad indication of our season, that I am watching the likes of spurs vs QPR and praying spurs win and hoping against hope that all the teams that are not that far below us will lose too :( if it wasn't for the drink that I have made it this far thrue the season! RM needs to move on and destroy somebody elses club and the sooner the better .
