If Fabregas goes to Barca as expected - do you think Arsenal would look at Arteta as a replacement? If so - how much is a fair price?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

I think they'll probably go for Mata

Agree0 Disagree0

No. He's over the age of 7.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am hoping arteta can get himself fit this season and become our creative midfielder again, we only saw glimpses of his greatness last season

Heard a few shouts about yobo getting flogged now on the cheap, why didn't we just flog him cheap in the first place, before the match fixing fiasco with fenerbache they were offering 3 million. Should of sold him then and got rid of his 50,000 wages. Hopefully now we can bring in a player on loan or free preferably a striker, because im afraid a strike force of saha, beckford and anichebe is going to get us nowhere.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

We definetly need another striker, we do have beckford who i think will get 15 this season and saha will get a few, a quality striker on loan and i am confident of a top 6 place

Agree0 Disagree0

David Moyes must see something in him that we don't, he loves the lad. Personally I think he's rubbish. Just doesn't look like he's arsed when he's not on the ball and then when he gets it he fu@ks it up. Without looking at statistics I reckon he's up there as the most played FW without a goal..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yobo has been a great servant for the club and always has been one of our best CB's, he just lost interest after going out on loan, so I wish him the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, I meant Anichebe..

Is everton in talks with anyone? Or anything {Ed025's Note - nothing iv heared mate..

Lets look at the positives, we kept all our players, Fellani, Jags, Baines, Arteta, Rodwell & most importantly Moyes, we have a few promising youngsters coming through, Barkley, Guey, Vellious, regarding transfers, I think we will do our business on the last day of the transfer window like we always do and no one has ever said it but whether its loans or buying the players out right, i'm sure its left for the last day as to save a good couple of months in wages, all we need is a winger & a striker & we are good to go, depending on the quality if it happens we could push for a top 4, ArseAnal are s**te and looking at losing their best players, Mans**tee is jus a circus full of clowns, Chelski is an aging squad, Spurs don't know what there best team is, we get a good striker & winger on loan, last day of the transfer window, we could surprise everyone like the season we finished forth, remember I told COYB {Ed025's Note - nice post mate..

The situation at Everton has gone beyond the realms of decency now and it is time that Bill Kenwright, much as I respect the man, went public and let all Everton Fans know exactly what is going on at our Club. Potential Transfer targets are slipping away and there is no chance that this squad can carry on for another season. The Fans are irate that David Moyes is once again NOT being given any funds to strenghthen the squad....it is just not acceptable at this level anymore. Is the Club close to being bought & is this the reason for not spending at all at this time? The match against Villareal was an embarrassment to say the least, only 1/2 shots on target, their Goalkeeper was on a Sabatical. Kenwright needs to speak up.......NOW {Ed025's Note - great post mate..i could not have put it better myself!..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Well said kenwright is a con man please get out of our great club {Ed025's Note - its not fair to label him a con man, misguided perhaps, but i think he has the good of the club at heart, its just that now, he is out of his depth. we need an owner with vision...and a big cheque book, thanks for trying bill, but the time has come to move on..

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton FC are in a much better position than people give credit for...i personally dont support Kenwright but we are what we are David Moyes is still in charge...for this we should be grateful...i shudder to think of who would replace him.
We have a good squad...who can we afford that would improve it? ...no one
I think all blues should be concentrating on the fact that we have stopped becoming a feeder club...and that our best players want to stay Who really wants to be a city or chelsea?...thats not football...be careful what you wish for...top 6 this season
ps anchibe is not included in the above praise

Could be a good thing that the game has been caled off, this means we play our first game at home to QPR, COYB

Believable3 Unbelievable1

But then we will look stupid once again when adel taraabt scores two past us and jay bothroyd shows us why we should of went for him instaed of nobody, i predict a 3-1 loss, sadly :( {Ed025's Note - get on 2-0 for us...we are still a good side you know mate!..

Agree0 Disagree0

The blues will win this one, we need to continue our goodison form from the second half of last season. I agree with ed, 2-0 to everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Adel taarabt plays for psg now so would be amazing if he did score against us

It's really pissing me off the lack of transfer activity, it's pissing me off extra that Moyes has yet to say ANYTHING, Owen Coyle revealed his interest in SWP, why not even try him on loan? {Ed025's Note - thats one of my biggest beefs...lack of information...we deserve better..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

11 Aug 2011 13:14:00
doesnt really matter how much yobo goes for as long as it frees up some funds for loans and wages which is the best we can hope for.

joey barton or pedro leon is a must now coleman is injured...has moyes not realised we havent got anyone who can play on the right {Ed025's Note - david knows the weakness of the right..but his hands are tied, and it would be easier to get rid of shingles..than yobo!..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Ed any news on the yobo deal at the moment? I hope we manage to get rid of him and at least give moyes a few mill to play with, although not sure what players are out there that we can afford. I would seriously look at swp, he has still got it and ive seen alot of him for city in pre season and to be fair to him, hes been there best performer. He would offer alot for us, hes still very pacy and he runs at defenders. We had one other player in our entire squad that did that and thats coleman, with his injusry now we havnt got a single player that will pick up the ball and run direct at defences. We need to move quick and i think it would be a great signing. I know we need a striker but we have no chance in finding a striker thats going to be better than we already have for a couple of mill, it just wont happen. So i believe swp is the answer. {Ed025's Note - hes a good player..if a little lightweight..but i would certainly take him, yobo is waiting to go back to turkey...but they know our financial predicament, and are trying to take advantage..

Spurs game off - nightmare

Only upside it maybe gives us more time to get rid of Yobo and use the money to acquire a decent loan signing

Gutted though...my fantasy football team is going to need a serious revamp

Why doesn't Moyes sign some lower league (D1&2) talent? Worth a chance, look at Beckford.. They'd pay us for the privilidge of playing for a world class team..

Fellaini's contract situation is a big concern for me. He's a 15-20 million value player with 2 years left on contract. If he doesn't sign a new one before the start of the season then he'll be only one year away next summer - and then the Rednapp etc scavengers will try to prize him away for nothing the year after - so that's a 15 million loss right there that we can't afford. Personally I think he should be grateful to the club and Moyes for helping him make his name and should not do the dirty on us like Pienaar did. He was not the best of players when he arrived as he was very slow on the game passed him by a lot of the time - but he was helped to improve into a real force. Then he gets a long injury - so we've probably only had 6 good months out of him so far. I think he drops us in it and tries to run his contract down it will be bad news for us. We should sell him before window closes if he's not going to sign an extension, otherwise we're heading for a Pienaar situation.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think all Felli needs is a bit of reasurrance that we have some ambition to push for Europe, I think IF we sign a new player, he'll sign a new contract
