Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Ed. why are we dragging our feet again, when it comes to signing players. Aldewired is a class player. why not go and sign him or are we waiting for Tottenham or Liverpool to sign him. {Ed025's Note - im as disappointed as you vinny, i still think we will sign a couple, but we need them now!..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have no money. Simple as that. Have to sell to buy. Can't shift Jonny. Fellaini and/or Baines will go when Utd stump up enough cash but may be too late for us to spend well.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the one waiting is TA. Vinny. People try to seek the best. So he is waiting leveling deal from bigger club before final decision. Don't too much worry mate I think we are in pole position. It will be clear soon.

Relax. It's very rare for a club to specify even the nature of the injury, never mind be so specific as to name the limb and condition, when a player is feigning injury ahead of a transfer. He may go, but don't be jumping to conclusions just yet.

I think it's time to let Osman go whilst we can still get a decent fee. I know he was influential last season but he has always been too slow and know his legs are starting to go I don't think he will get a look in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He won't want to leave and few will want to sell. I'd be happy to see him retire with us, so long as his role starts to get smaller and smaller.

In his post match interview Martinez has confirmed that Fellaini was missing today due to an infected leg wound.

Once again Heitingna demonstrates that he is simply not good enough-we need to off load him before the season starts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Heitinga was one of the few positives from this game, can't see why you thought differently

Agree0 Disagree0

He was by far our best player today. Only after he came on were we able to assert any control on the game. I am his biggest critic, but based on today's showing, I can't say a bad word about him. watch the game effort making statements about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

If RM system will suit anyone it will be heitinga as he is very good with the ball at his feet, his weaknesses are when he gets turned, or is outpaced he will fill Gibsons injury gap in the middle until Xmas I reckon

L4 4EL

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the replies. Heitinga was far from shocking and one of ourbonly positives, his distribution was very good. We looked infinitely better when he came on.

So many things about today's performance (pretty poor IMHO) to comment on, but what's the point? It's only a pre-season match and it's next week away to Norwich City that counts. I just hope that RM is not only getting the information he wants about the players and tactics and formations, but also that he can successfully make the improvements that seem to be so blatantly required. {Ed025's Note - fair points there sid, not very good today mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets be honest, had any of the other games we've played so far taken place on Goodison today, we'd be singing RM's praises and hopeful of Europe. It was a dreadful game, but the lads haven't been back in England long and they were against a good team, they finished 7th in La Liga without any particularly go players, which points towards an impressive work rate and good team teamwork. We were waistful, but they closed us down very well and aren't getting the credit they deserve. Come January, then we can make rash judgments on Robbie. Until then, patience.

What a very poor performance by efc--no shape--poor passing poor movement. Barkely looked totally out of his depth.

Sack Martinez now he has not got a clue. {Ed025's Note - get a grip mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree

Agree0 Disagree0

H. Barkley was one of the only players who can walk away from the game with his head held high. And sack Martinez now? First we don't want him. He buys a few players - we love him. We beat Real - we're getting champions league. We play quite poorly - sack him. How fickle the football fan is.

Shaun Wright Phillipps? Joey Barton? Let's just sign all the QPR rejects. (I know Townsend was only on loan at QPR)

What a crap game worst football I have seen we were lucky they could not hit the back of the net if that's what they are saying is football I feel sorry for anyone watching that all season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Welcome Martinez, he does not have a clue
MJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Judging by your post, YOU won't be watching. so what you bothered for
18BLUEBOY78

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed. Thought we were shocking, they carved us open almost at will and on another day would have scored 6 or 7.
I've been skeptical about Martinez appointment from day 1, and this and some other preseason performances have only served to heighten my anxieties about the coming season.
We simply don't have the players able to implement his game plan and tactics.
Then he comes out with a gem 'perfect way to end preseason'.
We're in for a long old season if he doesn't have a plan B.

club to submit plans for next years revision of crest to fans

Director of Communications Alan Myers said: "As you know, we have made a commitment to allow supporters to choose our crest for the 2014/15 season but for this coming season we have our 2013/14 crest and we will wear it with pride, and, accordingly, will support it as our crest for the duration of the season.

"Of course, we all know it will change in 2014/15, and we have introduced the new crest in the most cost-effective way possible.

“I am finalising the plans to allow supporters to choose the Club's next version and these will be released later this month.

ed carnt understand why we have not signed a cm player as we speak playing betis they the better side and now Gibson gone off we need someone creative in midfield bobby must see this? {Ed025's Note - he will stevie, its getting the right one that is the hard bit mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree Stevie. McCarthy is powerful player but don't think cannot pair with Gibbo perfectly. I think creative we need now. But if Felli go also need defensive mc. But who is the one Stevie?

will be interesting to see how Robbie sets us up.
will he play 3 at the back? will he start with a couple of the young lads? am looking forward to seeing Kone as well. Hope everyone gets behind Robbie 100% and I am sure they will. Exciting times ahead me thinks.

Morning Ed, what will these pages b like if Baines and Fellani don't play today. rumours, rumours, rumours. can't wait

Alan {Ed025's Note - tell me about it alan..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well predicted!
Co-incidentally (?) the Conspiracy Theorists Society is having its summer outing to Roswell today, so there shouldn't be too many posts from them. Interesting that Everton should choose to omit Fellaini from the team on this day - obviously a coincidence, but I'd advise everyone to keep away from grassy knolls. ;-)

Don't think we should go in for Defoe. We've already got two strikers in that age, if we're going to get another forward I would hope we went for someone young but is proven to score goals. I think that our main priority should be in the middle, that is where we will lack if we don't add this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Aug 2013 10:06:04
Seriously Defoe and bent what are we aiming for 12th? There both inconsistent selfish players who can't link up play trust in Martinez he knows what he's doing. COYB IMWT

Anyone else think we should go in for Defoe considering Soldado has joined Spurs? We'd be able to get him on the cheap.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Defoe spend whole life be Londoner. He still wannabe like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take him. think you may get him for 5mill which is a steal.

Agree0 Disagree0

NO THANKS, there's a reason he ain't going to get a game at spurs, because he rubbish, We need a striker not a mercenary who is constantly in the media for the wrong reasons driving offences & girls, why drag our club through the mud. EVERTONPAUL

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo would score us loads and has pace

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't call £6M cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't pay 20 mil for the whole wigan team plus there ground we need to look elsewhere for players get real martinez they haven't anyone worth money mentioned payed 1mil for the player they now want 20 for do we look like mugs. please don't go back to wigan for any more the ones youve got have to prove them selves one is already crocked. tom efc

He played for Portsmouth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom, remind me how much Coleman cost. He's worth at least 100x what we paid. And what difference does it make what they cost, it's what they are valued at by seller and and what the buying club are willing to pay!

Agree0 Disagree0

We paid 60,000. what as that got to do with aplayer being overpriced remind me what he did today that makes him worth 20 mil very few players are worth that much I happen to think coleman is a better player but don't see the comparason any way I don't remember any player being relagated being valued so highly be it by his chairman which speaks volumes

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes worth a lot more than that but what as that got to do with anything ps 60,000. tomefc

Agree0 Disagree0

Young players more often than not increase in value no matter where they come from or who they play for. Just because James McCarthy was relegated with Wigan doesn't mean his ability is affected and, in turn, his price.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2013 01:05:51
Bobby please do not follow Moyes's way. He always wait until last minute in market. Player need time to adapt lfe style, playing. So whoever need to buy just do it. After season opened need Bobby to concentrate match only.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We signed 4 people already. keep up with yhe times m8

Agree0 Disagree0

As stated four players already in.

I expect two more signings but the team we have is more than equipped to tackle anyone in the premier league.

Along with the four signings the young players that have come in a played especially Barkley and Stones, are like new signings as well. Barkley has looked awesome and is the one player I can't wait to see in action.

If we didn't sign anyone else I'd be happy with what we have.

I really don't know where everyone is getting their opinions from Bent from. Everyone seems to be deluded into thinking he's a 'Martinez type player'. I have no idea how some of you think he is this hard working, selfless player who likes to drop back and link up with the midfield. He isn't. He is lazy and greedy.

My problem with him, personally, though, is that he appears to be cursed. Look at what happened to his previous clubs while he was there;
Ipswich - relegated.
Charlton - relegated.
Tottenham - plummeted down the league and where last for quite some time.
Sunderland - dropped significantly down the league.
Villa - they where challenging us for 5th, dropped down to a relegation threatened team.

The man is cursed. Let Palace or Fulham or whoever it is who wants him, have him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Apart from Spurs he carried the rest of the teams at one point so its not his fault look at the teams you've named, they're all s****

Agree0 Disagree0

I am with you AB1878. I posted the same message on the rumours page. With players like Bent, you have to weigh up the lazyness and lack of defensive contribution to the team against the attacking threat and total goals scored. 3 seasons ago he was banging in goals. Now I don't even remember him scoring a goal. Did he last season? It would be the same as having Yakubu after his bad injury. He was never the same and without his goals was a useless defensive liability to Everton. Teams cannot carry lazy centre forwards these days. All 10 outfield players are needed to form a cohesive defensive barrier before looking to attack. This goes to all teams top and bottom.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Worth pointing out that Sunderland were on the verge of qualifying for Europe and only dropped once he'd left

If fellani and baines go we will get plenty of pennies to invest in the squad. I for one don't care weather they stay or go Everton are bigger than two players alone always have and always will be. Has anyone seen lunstram play? Garbutt deserves a run also we have Oviedo. Big season for us all this year IMWT. In Martinez We Trust.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We need to keep Baines, let Felli go but keep Baines!

A few weeks ago people were saying "how come Cardiff, Swansea and Norwich have signed players and not us" Then we signed 3 players in 2 days.
Now there r a few saying "how come these teams can out spend us". I suspect that we too will spend quite a bit more before the season starts.
My point being stop the constant moaning and comparing with other clubs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I second that, OP.

Agree0 Disagree0

4 in 3 days actually

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite a bit more before the season starts? So we're going to spend a significant amount of money in the next week? Doubt it.
