Problems we have is a massively bloated squad on decent/ big money for there ability,

Snids
Niasse
Garbutt
Tosun
Jags
Mirallas
Besic
Jimmy Mc (needs game time)
Martina
Galloway
Browning
Dowell (nearly 22 and needs to prove he can do it)
Pennington
Sandro
Williams

I know some of these players are on loan and getting paid by the clubs loaning them but they will all come back (except Mirallas Garbutt and Williams) bugeting is pretty hard when there is pretty much £750,000 to 1m in wages per week within that list.

Just shows what a massive task Brands and Silva have on there Hands.

Ps 15m for Batshuayi would be good business and a definite upgrade on current options

Happy new year Blues and Ed’s !

Any guesses in what's going to happen in Jan for us. From my readings if his comments, Brands basically said no one is coming in unless it's one of his existing targets and for the right price, but the Malcolm reports in Spain and the Chelsea Belgian striker reports aren't going from Spain and England. Lazy journalism or something in it? Also, anything going out? Could do with a few I think, mainly centre mid.

My prediction for January is. it will last for about 12 weeks (well it will seem like that) culminating in eating rice and gravy for about 6 weeks and fasting for the last 3. It will be dark, and cold, and very very long.
As for transfers, I haven't got a clue mate. See you on the other side in February.

Batshuayi for 15 mill. Yes please! I think he would be a perfect signing for us and would certainly be an upgrade on Niasse, Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison ( as a 9 ) . Thoughts?

Hi LB mate definitely an upgrade on Niasse though he does his best, as for Richarlison not really a striker but he will get very good for us I believe, more suited behind the striker only my opinion.

Both Calvert Lewin and Richarlison are 21 I believe? Both very young and will improve if referees protect them. Too early for judging them just yet.

Deffo, always liked Michy Bats, if we offloaded Niasse and Tosun, and brought him in be a master stroke.

Richarlison has 9 goals so far and will probably finish with 15-20. I'm not sure Batshuayi on current form would get half that.

Nice point Smit666. I reckon Richarlison is doing great for a 21 year old. Playing for anyone else he would be getting loads of free kicks for fouls on him. I know he bhaves like a baby at times but some of the fouls are blatant with people climbing all over him and coming through the back.

{Ed025's Note - he has been copying neymar a bit degsy but the guy is certainly talented, he will score goals for sure..

Yes Ed, he is still a child. Imagine what he will be like at say 27 if his body has not had injury after injury. I do feel refs are not protecting him even tho he does get a bit amateur dramatics.

{Ed025's Note - hes a big unit though degsy and he is a lot stronger and better than all this diving lark, i would like to see him put it about a bit more myself mate..

He goes down easy to easy. That is why he doesn't get decisions, nothing to do with us being Everton.
