Ed where in the pecking order do you see Besic when everyone is fit I think he will spend a lot of time on the bench this season .if we keep Garbutt the same will happen to Oviedo do you think we will listen to offers for these two.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Am8 i expect mo to be a bit player again, bryan is a different case though as injuries have taken their toll and i think that any reasonable offer will be considered mate...shame really..

It's a shame mo shows more passion than most but when it comes down to it RM wants a pass pass passer, mos not the best passer which explains why he was a cb until a couple seasons ago but It would appear even in games were mos done well he's been dragged off anyway

i disagree mike, I think mo is an excellent passer, he can spray those 40 yard balls out wide with ease, very good on the ball. I don't think Martinez thought he would of been as good last season as he was and that is why he didn't play him as he is still learning. but I still think he is the most likely midfielder to go, even ahead of Gibbo.

Besic is going to be a great player but last season he was too slow in releasing the ball. He hung onto the ball too much instead of speeding up play. He's admitted the same if you listen to his interviews.

I think though next season will be a good one for him. I really like. He does have passion and genuinely wants to be at the club. Him and McCarthy could be fantastic together and for many years to come.

,,,, how about Jaou Moutinho guys?!? Could be on the way for 7-8 million from Monaco.this was a guy we were after a few years when Moyes was in charge & we couldn't afford the £25 million being asked.to my mind, we seriously lack a quality ball playing central midfielder & have done for sometime (probably since Arteta left). this 2 x defensive midfielder + 1 out on the left + 1 out on the right simply doesn't work for me - we need some real quality in the middle to knit it all together!!

Could be perfect if Mirallas wants out with Monaco interested, cash plus Moutinho i'd be happy with it as long as we spent the money on a good winger

We have too many midfielders. He is getting on too.

Do agree we have a lot of midfielders but they're not as good as Moutinho and are getting on themselves, he can play further up too if Barkley is out of form, Besic/Moutinho/Cleverley as well as McCarthy, i'd prefer over Barry/Osman/Gibson I think its a strong midfield, Moutinho is 28, 29 early into the season so still has a couple of years in him and gives us time to ease the likes of Ledson through without putting to much pressure on them.

Problem is we wanted him at his prime like swan says now to old, we would have preferred gaz Baz 5 years ago as well!

I had a look at the released players from the Prem.

Micah Richards looks like the best one Imo, I always thought he had huge potential as a CB but it just never seemed to work out for him at city.

Thoughts on offering him a contract?

no, on massive wages and is only interested in money, not good enough either, is injury prone too. for 100k a week? nah.

Swan how do you know he's only interested in money?

I Agree with you on his wages , but if he took a pay cut and could stay fit he would be great long term replacement for Distin Imo.

And with Alcaraz going we definitely need at least 1 established centre back. You could say Browning or Galloway but I don't think we can rely on them just yet.

For me if he would take a pay cut , which also shows he's not all about the money as you said, seems like perfect business sense as we would have extra funds to strengthen elsewhere

why do you think he fell out of favour with city? He wanted a huge salary and was second choice at the time anyway. He wanted a lot of money to leave city too. I never got the whole nice guy persona he puts on, mans greedy.

If Ayew turns out to be brilliant at Swansea I'm going to be really annoyed, looks just the sort of player we need

Yeah me too True Blue. i'm Ghana be peeved if he's good. I'll look at RM and be like "Ayew serious, why didn't you sign him?"

What a sign of things to come the Tom cleverly signing has been, people have a go a David moyes in some instances its justified but my good how RM has destroyed what was a stable happy club in two years is impressive. Can hardly think of a time in his reign were so many players and so many back room staff have been in such disarray, may as well sign Barton and ballotelli and get the job done quicker
