Was talking to an arsenal fan friend of mine and we got talking about the potential Everton/ arsenal back 5. His was ospina Bellerin merstesacker kosceilny Baines and mine Howard Coleman jageilka koscilney baines. He was adamant Bellerin and merstesacker were better than our two and I was the other way. As arsenal fans are famously deluded I was wondering what any of you boys would have thought it was in comparison with these two.

Howard Coleman stones jags Baines or garbutt all day long

ospina-because howard is terrible

coleman-because bellerin is pace and that's it

stones-mertesacker is useless and overrelies on koscielny's pace

jagielka-koscielny is boss but gives away too many penalties

oviedo/garbutt

stones plays on the right so does mertesacker and same with jagielka on the left with koscielny. if koscielny was on the right I would have him over stones.

Interesting thoughts boys, was shocked that he rated merstesacker better than jags or even stones, personally I think he's useless.

Oh my giddie aunt!
Schalke have just released Kevin prince-Boateng and Sidney Sam.
We should really consider approaching them both as they great players.
Sidney Sam possesses the same charismatic energy and ability as both Lennon and Mirallas.
Where as KPB is an outstanding midfielder and can play as the strong defensive midfielder with either McCarthy or Besic, or as a CAM, behind the striker, and he is an already made superstar. What do you Ed's and fellow blues?
Would you be happy with them?

{Ed025's Note - no arron..i have answered why in a previous post mate..

No need for anyone to get their knickers in a twist, Schalke Have clarified and said that the duo are in fact suspended indefinitely. Probably for the better, we can do better, no need for any more eto'os.

Sydney Sam and Boateng released from Shalke. This being due to their form and recent results. (Usually its the manager! This is Waaayy more affective)

We were linked to Sam a while back. Chances Ed? Also, would you want him or Kevin Prince after being released for such reasonS?

{Ed025's Note - not a big fan of either to be honest QB, kevin has been around the block a few times and hardly pulled up any trees at spurs or portsmouth, looking at the schalke business it seems the 2 of them have a bit of an attitude as well mate, so i would swerve them myself..

He played for Portsmouth?? Really? that's a transition. i'd take Sam personally. But reckon your right in the attitude part. However perhaps this may makebthem buck up their ideas.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if they dont it will cost them a lot of dosh mate..

Our squad has an average age of 24. So if we get rid of Distan, Barry and peanut the average age would be 12 :-)

I have to say I am very surprised by that statistic Woburn. I would have guessed the average age was much higher. I van only assume that the actual first team players regularly picked have a higher average than the fringe players. or we have a 2 year old somewhere hidden away lol. I immediately think of Howard, Jags, Baines, Barry, Osman, Pienaar, Distin dragging the average upwards. nut guess Stones, Lukaku, McCarthy, Garbutt and Besic bring it down.
