For tomorrow's game I think that Martinez will pick the following eight players automatically; Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Stones, Barry, McCarthy, Barkley and Lukaku.
That leaves three open positions and one has to be at left-back. If he puts Barry at left-back then we have three openings for Kone, McGeady, Mirallas, Lennon, Deulefeu,
Naismith, Osman (if fit) and any of the kids. If he plays Galloway, Mori or Oviedo at left-back it is only two openings from the list above.
Should be interesting to see who Martinez favors at this stage of the season.

I pretty much agree with everything you say Martinez will do. Its a good analysis. You left Besic out? Presumably he'd be put in the category to fill the 2 or 3 openings?

I used to like Paul Merson but just read his views on this weekends game. The early kick-off after the international break means Jose Mourinho doesn't have long to work with his players and I feel they have been dealt a dodgy hand here in a game they have to win. Does he not realise everton have got the early game as well
