I think Moyes owes us a favour. I reckon he should at least give us 10 goals for free at Goodison lol!

Lets get this done. No help. pure football and guts!

The UEFA Champions League Play-off round, which the fourth placed Premier League team has to qualify from before joining the group stage, for 2014-2015 will be played on 19th or 20th August (first legs) and 26th or 27th August (second leg). That's only a few days before the transfer deadline. As the big rewards only really come from being in the group stages (and beyond), I imagine teams that don't have the funds already would have to wait for group stage qualification before spending big money. No doubt, deals will have been set up in readiness, but some (permanent) transfers will surely have to be on hold and then completed during the final few days of the transfer window - and some deals might just not be affordable (or the player not interested) if the team doesn't get through to the group stage. Dropping down to the UEFA Europa League won't earn the money to pay for the top players let alone attract them to the club.
Qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage is a game changer - in financial, football, and prestige terms.
Fingers crossed - but some very tough fixtures left for us.

Sid, don't need to qualify if your 3rd a couple more slips by City and if we continue to grind out the wins then no need to worry. COYB

Ed what sort of caliber of players should Everton be looking at if we qualify for CL. I see rajshel looks at those possible signings, I feel that with exception to Barry I personally wouldn't even consider them good enough for CL, they have no CL pedigree. I am open for some criticism. Welcome any comments.

{Ed025's Note - if we do qualify EB, we will need a bit of quality, and also some squad depth, but if anyone can get us prepared..its bobby mate..

I've placed a £1 bet on the following results:

Liverpool: DDDWL 74+6 = 80 points
Chelsea: DWDLW 72+8 = 80 points
Man City: DLWLLWD 70+8 =78 points

Everton: WWWWW 66+15 = 81 points

Everton win the League

Stand to make £1bn+ all proceeds to be donated to the club after tax and personal expenses

The sort of games that need to ground out for the win. Well done boys! A few fine openings missed that on another day would have reaped reward. Top notch to John Stones whose reading of the game is getting better and better. 5 to go. Man, this is great but hell to listen when I'm 3500 miles away. My wife has shut herself away for the past 2 hrs in case she jinks things up!

Hey guys
Heard that Micah Richards wants to leave to
City this summer, and thought he'd be a decent signing as he's only got 12 months on his contract so he wouldn't cost much and he'd be good cover alongside stones.

I like him but he is injury prone and clumsy, not worth the wages

Richards is a RB

no way could he replace Coleman

What's the feeling on Felli with his poor form at United as you just don't get crap at football overnight, watching him he can't even run with the ball anymore without looking clumsy or string together passes like he used to with us? let alone some of stupid on pitch antics which to be fair should of seen red a couple of times now. I see this a dying shame as he was fantastic for us a real monster at holding the ball up and providing those killer balls from the midfield as well as the threat from his head. Bet he wishes he stuck with us now and won't be long till the rumour about him coming back in some sort of deal will raise it's head. Just for rumours sake would we want him back? would he be the threat he used to be with Evertons current squad? thoughts pls.

He wouldn't get in our team, doesn't suit our play style and thankfully he is failing, won't be there for long with all the 'superstars' moyes has had meetings with and have all saif they will join in the summer, I will believe it when I see it

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't gotten any worse for united than he was for us. He was fantastic, and still is, at being the battering ram: receiving the ball and just powering through. He has always been this atrociously bad as a defensive mid, though. He's never been able to tackle, pass, dribble or had any understanding of the defensive side of the game. I said this on here when he was with us, and I said he'd be every bit the flop he is when I heard he was going to united to be there 'midfield destroyer'. The only way they'll get the best of him is to move him forward, which the fans don't want, or move him on. I do think rumours of a return will start springing up (probably as part of a deal for Ross), but Martinez should 100%, definitely say NO. Unless is a direct swap for Kone.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks. I was never convinced he wanted to stay with us every window.Especially with his old man mouthing off at every opportunity. He's got his "big move". Enjoy it.

Agree0 Disagree0

My lpool mate was asking me how he done so well for us and it looks like he can't pass it more than 10yards for the mancs, I told him its beyond me why moyes took a player that stood out as a amc behind the striker were he used his height and strength to turn people and pop up with the odd goal usually when it was 0-0 or 1-1 so it stood out more, fellis never had pace or any sort of passing range needed to play the dmc roll and it shows more now with the demands and tele time the mancs get, he was basically no existent the last 4months for us in that role wouldn't fit in with a passing team

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a joy to watch, say no more.
