watched the bradford/arsenal cup tie last night, like me anyone else couldnt fail not to be impressed by the bradford keeper matt duke.thought he had an excellent game.and if moyseys on the lookout for competition for howard this lad may well be worth keeping an eye on.jimmy {Ed025's Note - one swallow does not a summer make jimbo, he is in division 2 for a reason mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

With you about that ed.the lad did impress though.dont know anything about him. as i dont know much about jack butland at brum but they apparently where looking for around 6 mill for him which is a bit steep for competition when we need strengthening in more important areas.jimmy {Ed025's Note - i suppose you get what you pay for jim, being on the england scene, i think butland would have a good sell on value, which seems to be important these days..

Matt Duke is 35. Anyway we don't need a keeper, there is nothing wrong with the Slovak Casillas.

I would pay the £6m for Butland with Ofoe on loan and a Striker on loan, maybe Bent.

well done messi and muller but

But while Dean's century of goals in that same season has often been written about, no-one has recorded his own 85 in a calendar year.

1928 was the most goal-laden year of the Everton striker's celebrated career “ just (1931 ran it very close).

Messi has scored 56 goals in 36 league games in 2012.

Muller managed 42 in 34 in 1972. In 1928 Dean plundered 45 in 36.

Messi also had the Champions League (13 goals), the Copa del Tey (3), Spanish SUper Cup (2), international friendlies for Argentina (7) and World Cup qualifiers (5) to add to his tally.

Muller had the German Cup (seven in six), 12 in five in the League Cup, 10 in four in the European Cup, one in 4 in the Cup Winners' Cup and 13 in seven for Germany.

Back in 1928 only the league and the FA Cup existed domestically, but numerous other representative matches existed in which Dean was selected “ and prospered.

Well as we sing if you know your history its enough to make your heart go

Rodger for the umpteenth, we won the FA Cup in 95. For an armchair fan, and your obsession about our great club you don't know an awful lot.

Former Man City and Tramere Rovers keeper Eric Nixon is now the caretaker at the all weather pitches were my lads team train in the winter. I was telling my lad how in February 86 Everton put 4 past him at Goodison, 3 of them by Lineker. What I didn't expect was for us to see Nixon and have my lad go up to him and say 'hey Egsy, is it true Lineker once put 3 past you when you played for City?' Nixon's face was a picture.

Love it mate, kids have no morals at all and it's all purely innocent, remember my lad when he was 4 in the Asda sitting in the shopping trolley, shouted as load as he could "hey daddy look at the size of the mans nose, its massive" the guy was stood next to me, awesome
