EFCbluemark, everyone has and is entitled to his or her opinion, but to post someone is talking gibberish is really quite offensive, this forum is for different opinions as long as they stay within the boundaries of good taste and not become insulting, I have followed Everton football club since the mid 50's and i can assure you that the overall display against Watford was appalling, we have seen since the season started the upturn in form mainly because of extra effort that is expected when any new manager is appointed some good moments but few and far between this has been a familiar trait throughout Silva's managerial career (not to say that he won't succeed at Everton) and optimism is to be applauded, but don't close one's eyes to footballing reality. please be civil it costs nothing. remember clothes maketh the woman, but manners maketh the man. "ah such old world charm" cheers merry Christmas to all.

i hate when older men say i have supported everton since the 50s/ 60s whenever as if that automatically means u are superior to anyone younger and that u must no best because u been around longer its so patronising especially coming from someone moaning about someone else lacking manners, heres an old saying for ya "dnt throw stones in glass houses" the game against watford was not "appaling" at all it wasnt our best but the football on offer now is a million times better than last year mate, this isn't ment to be argumentative and dnt want to offend u this is just something that gets my back up massively mate reverse ageism.

I am also in my fifties John and very lucky to catch our golden era of the eighties.

I really feel for the younger generation of our fan base, season on season watching the club stagmented.

I hope Silva takes the fa cup seriously and give the younger generation a trophy, Christ knows you deserve it.

You are the future of our great support and for me no Evertonian is any better than another, regardless of age.

In regards to the Watford game, I have seen far worse performances and let’s give credit to Watford, who put in an excellent performance, some called our neighbours arragent when we played well, only to say they were below par from some of their fans, Watford did to us what we did to our neighbours, we dropped a point there but gained it back against Watford.

I am now more optimistic this season, than I have been for a while, things are heading in the right direction.

I just hope we can land a trophy again and sooner rather than later for all Evertonians, young and old.

I've met old men who talk out of their asses and young dudes who blow me away with their knowledge, and not just about football. No-one is better than anyone else simply because they've lived longer. Sure the older you are the more life experience you have, but that doesn't mean you have a divine right to be right all the time.

I think it's because we have suffered longer😂
Age doesn't matter it's the passion you have for the club that counts. At least that's what my old man told me when I was a kid in the sixties. 😜.

i mighty be 29 but i have 15 years football coaching experience 9 years of running my own team and have been supporting everton since i can remember but also study football in general and for someone to assume because they wer born 30 years before me means they know football better than i do it baffles me, the football on show is far from appalling why can't you give credit to Watford who came with a plan and executed it and nearly got 3 points or give us credit for fighting back after falling behind and coming away with a draw from a game we easily could have lost? try SUPPORTING the team not following them.

Sam Aladice was a coach.

14 Dec 2018 18:25:19
whats your point, yes big sam was a coach was being the main word he achieved great things with smaller teams with less ambitions but was found to wanting when it came to pushing a team like us to the next level. my point was just because u been following everton for longer doesn't mean your opinion has greater value than someone younger than urself and to suggest it does makes u look foolish when your questioning others manners.

I was born in 32bc and have been supporting Everton since then, I remember one game when the Romans brought a lion on as a sub it turned the game, but we won on penalties and a massive thumbs up from the Roman senator . In later years the vikings gives us a real hard game in the Mercia v Northumbria club challenge trophy.

I know that it hurts when we lose, I know it’s great when we win, and draws can feel both good and bad, I do know I’ve watched more of Match of Day this season than recent seasons, I know Everton can make me feel as excited as a 5 year old on Christmas morning and as sad as a 90 odd year old that’s just lost their partner of 70 years.
We all know these feelings and we all vent our frustrations and our joy differently, some need someone to blame when things go wrong, some will never be happy till we’re winning the quadruple every year. Shall we just let it go at that, let’s not bicker amongst ourselves it serves no purpose. Respect each other’s opinions and get on with supporting our beloved club and laughing at the others
Big C.

Vlacic has just helped CSKA beat Real 3-0. He has been player of the month x2 in a row.
Maybe he could have a future with us.
Onyekuru is scoring 1 in 3 in Turkey playing on the wing
It's not all good - Sandro couldn't hit a cows arse with a frying pan!

Vlasic has already said he wants to stay at CSKA. Let's get a nice big fee for him because of his performances.

I thought it was a cows arse with a banjo, although I am open to the frying pan alternative. My wife used to call Frank Lampard (when he played for England) “cowsarse banjo” as always seemed to miss. A lot of the humour seems to be disappearing I remember we called our own Stuart Barlow “jigsaw”, with affection although he was not the worlds greatest striker .

Let’s bring the laughs back 😉.

Just read an article in the Echo stating we should be looking to replace Seamus Coleman and that Digne is a better defender than him? Really? The same Digne - who I love btw - who failed a couple of times in his dfensive duties which allowed the opposition to score against us? Hmm.

Just read that as well BigH what a true gent and great servant he has been, and last but not least what an Ambassador for our Great Club.

{Ed025's Note - i second that GB..

I’m sure he could have gone to any of the top for 2 or3 years ago and apparently moyes was turned down when tried to get him at Utd. He deserves our loyalty and he will get back to his best. What a role model he is for Kenny also.

He did not have best game but he has had horrendus injury but if anyone can bounce back from it is him. He will no himself wasn't his best game. Think keane stuggled for me it either keane zouma or mina zouma as keane mina r to slow together.

my opinion we need a better holder than guye he can't pass when were attacking he's pretty much useless good player but not for a team trying to win every game.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - his last couple of games he has been poor ash, but before that i thought he had been one of our better players mate..

12 Dec 2018 19:06:58
He's been a good partner with Gomes this season, apart from, as Ed says, the last couple of games. He's been slow to act on a few occasions which has resulted in the opposition nicking the ball off him and regaining possession. He has been late/ clumsy in tackles, and it just looks like he's not 100 percent to me. I'm sure he can get back to his best but he needs to do it soon.

He has Ed mate a very good player, there are other areas that need attention first.

{Ed025's Note - like a centre forward mate..

gana is best holding mid in the prem by a mile, he needs to improve his passing but to replace him in the team would be crazy.

Subbed of against Watford with a groin injury allegedly, to be fair he did reach straight for an ice pack. If he's been carrying a groin injury and playing there is no way he will be at his best.

Early kick-off against City on Saturday gives the lads an opportunity to go all-out as there'll be 8 days to recover before the next game. They'll need to rest too having to play 4 games - Spurs, Burnley, Brighton, Leicester - in 10 days (or 5 in 14 if you include the cup match against Lincoln City) . It's crazy time.

Valencia are looking to cut short Michy Batshuayi's loan spell and send him back in January, now if ever there was a player available in January, surely this guy has got to be worth a punt.

Whether it was a loan or try to land him on the cheap, I think he is one of the better options available in January, should his loan with Valencia be cut short.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

12 Dec 2018 14:52:05
I'd like to ask why they are looking to terminate the loan deal early? Is he unfit? injured? has a bad attitude? or something else?

hasnt performed over there mate 1 goal in 10 something like that but proven in the prem and was unstoppable in germany last year, i would take him in a heartbeat.

I would love to sign him, but we already have Zouma on loan from Chelsea so one of the two would have to sign perminately.

Why not sign both then, strike while the irons hot.
