Rodwell will start against sweden on Tuesday, from an under 21 player to two england caps in four days. Good for him, suppose he will now be sold in January. He did well today, some of the neat Spanish play by passed him but it was good to hear the crowd keen to support him

We need a striker in January ed, but who to go for is tricky. Hoillett from Blackburn should be cheap (contract) vossen, llorente maybe even a gamble on loan for chamake?
Who do you think is realistic ed??

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - at the moment bez...i think realistically we are looking at a striker on loan...berbatov may be a good shout. some people reckon we will have money to spend from the arteta deal, but to be honest, i will believe it when i see it..if we do then i would like to see someone like kalou..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Today there were a couple of rumours about lukaku on loan. I think that would be good (even if i'd rather take kalou) {Ed025's Note - he would do very nicely..

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Berbatov on loan. They want to sell him for as much as they can before his contract runs out. PSG are keen on him. More realistic is Michael Owen on loan... If fully fit fine, but he would no doubt be injured for rest of season if we got him. {Ed025's Note - if we got him on a pay-as-you-play basis there is nothing to lose..

Its a shame we never play billy in his best position, if only we did we could have a very good player on our hands. Instead he's pushed out wide and is an easy target for the boo-boys {Ed025's Note - he is a target, because he is a poor footballer!...i dont care where you play, you should still be able to pass a ball 10 yards..to one of your own players...trap a ball..make a tackle and head a ball...for me he is lacking in all these departments..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He cant do his job, Great shame though, could have been something {Ed025's Note - some things just dont work out..

Ed have you heard anything more on the take-over talks? or is this just another Kenwright giving false hope to all us evertonians? {Ed025's Note - as far as i know, there has been interest, but no-one has come out publicly stating they want to buy the club, i dont know whether its the price or not that is putting people off...but it looks as though it may take some time..

If Moyes has any ambition or guts for that matter he would drop this pedantic approach that he has adopted to Ross Barkley and play him in the team. The way Barkley has been frozen out reminds of the treatment that Rooney experienced from David Moyes. It's almost as though Moyes does not know how to handle a teenage protege, preferring to adopt the 'wrapping in cotton wool' approach and sticking with the reliable, yet predictable Osmans of this world.
For those suggesting that using inexperienced players ahead of the more experienced pros given our precarious league position, could they actually perform any worse and if they did the outcome is likely to be the same. Moyes should play Barkley in the hole behind the forward supported by Fellaini and Rodwell behind. We are constantly hearing that the youth are the future of Everton, we need to start adopting this mantra and give the likes of Barkley a run in the first team.

I think EFC could do alot worse than trying to sign walters from stoke and leon best from Newcastle. these two players have impressed me alot this season. what does everyone think? also I think we shuld be trying to get a mls team to take saha and anichebe off our hands.

alan brazil on talksport sayin if davey moyse gets big money to spend his eyes will pop out of his head...hello...av you seen his eyes...would you trust moysie with big money..it seems to me his best buys are the bargan buys ,give him money will get another beattie, krolldrupp, billyletoneoff,or do we need to bring in a new manager,i like unai emery of velencia,do in a fine job, and did well at gattaffe,

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Why do people keep saying that moyes should go? how can you have so little loyalty? the man had a big part in pulling us from a relegation battling team to a solid top half at the very least with a team who will compete with any on their day. We have given him so little money to do this with that I think we owe it to him to give him a chance with some IF we are to be taken over... but not getting my hopes up on that either {Ed025's Note - people are not just complaining about the results, its the way we are playing!, not only ineffective...but downright boring!, and that my friend is down to moyes..

Agree3 Disagree2

I think he will do well with money, he would secure the long term services of fellani, rodwell, barkley, drenthe and vellious and buy 2 or 3 good players to make us more of a threat going forward and better at defending! Thats all he needs to do imo!

Agree0 Disagree0

Moysie has had plenty of cash lets put that one to bed mate,av been goin to watch the blues for 35 years,i ve traveled evreywere, was one of 500 in romania when we got walloped, but av had enough, moysie loves the 1 upfront no matter who we play wether its top of league or bottom, he plays players out of postion, lets face it daveys gon stale, does int mean i dont appriciate the good seasons weve ad under him,but hes had is day, would be nice to get exited about goin the game again, but till we try winning games playing football, and not knicken them with backs to the wall 1 nills, and negative tactics,am gona stop goin the game, football is entertainment dont forget,as anybody watched swansea, there playin the wright way and not spent bundles,we need a new hungry manager, with new ideas,,would be great to see big dunck ern his stripes at lower league side and get a shot in the hot seat on merit,be to much of a gamble to throw him without proven himself but he would shake the place up

Agree1 Disagree2

Davey moyes always says the fans will let him no when its time to go,so its.....taxi for moyesie

Agree1 Disagree3

I think David Moyes would do well with GOOD MONEY to spend on players but he is not likely to get big money while BK is Everton F C's owner. BK has done all he can for Everton F C and it is time for him to sell as he can do no more. BK want around £150m for the club and there is no way anyone is going to offer him that. BK should sell for around £50m and he would still come out with a profit.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ed and others, we are down on confidence! we play well against teams and we lose (it happens in football), we have a poor day and we get a result sometimes (also happens in football) -- as a result of this were low on confidence and it really shows in our play. So why do you always comment as if Moyes tells them to go out and play with no confidence? Have a bit of sense. Moyes is the one pushing for european football with the squad he's had for the past 10 years where most manager would be merely striving for survival... Think about it please. Ed one day we'll get you thinking semi-positively haha

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - listen aussie...i would love to come on here saying, we played great today lads....but i have not been able to!, my problem is that we set up so defensive, and do not attack teams enough, which for me, is when we are at our best!, and there is only one person to blame for that...david moyes..

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Moyes is playing it safe... He probs believes that the side can finish mid table by being cautious and hard to beat. If he get mid table, then the usual pundits will say what a great job he has done given he has spent no money. I read an interview on Sky Sports with David Gill, he was outlining the next man utd manager... How they had to have the 'Utd philosophy' hard work, loyalty, youth and attractive football. Moyes fits the first 3 and has never had the chance to work with 'World Class' players for us to judge him on his style of play... Right now, Our team is clearly a well oiled unit but has no flair. 1 year ago we had Pienaar and Arteta, the rest played around them. We played good stuff. Without them we are now being cautious and negative... Despite this I think Moyes is a front runner for the Utd job, and he knows that if he keeps us mid table, he will have done a good job. Unlike most others, I think we WILL finish mid table. And Moyes COULD end up at Man Utd. {Ed025's Note - do you think united supporters would welcome him?..they are famous for attractive, attacking football,..

Found a player we should get to take Arteta's place: Akihiro Ienaga

He plays with RCD Mallorca and when he gets running at defenders, the defenders might aswell not be there-they can't get near the ball.
He's quick and extremely skillful. I had never heard of him myself before a lad i'm friends with on Youtube posted a video of him.
Ienaga dosen't go down easily either, he has a bit of strenght about him and from what i've seen, he trys to stay on his feet rather than go to ground in the hope of winning a free.
He probably wouldn't cost too much either, as he is not as famous as the likes of Neymar and Hazard, and while the bigger clubs go after those big name players, we could sneak in and sign him before he goes on their radars.
Look him up on Youtube Ed
Ienaga is one of the most gifted players i've seen and i'd love to see him in the Everton jersey.

You cant say that about youtube clips, if you want to look at youtube talent, try tino costa of youtube

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive seen this guy, he was on fifa mundial a lot, massive talent... Get the message to BK. If he aint gunna sell the dam club the least he can do is take out a second mortgage on the theatres. 4-5mill should do the trick given the guy aint known and Mallorca are skint. Imagine that little thing tearing through the Jamie Carraghers of this world. Oi BK sort it out mate.
