I’m a fan of that, speaking of something else, google won’t help, my iPhone keeps changing “Ii” (the letter eye) to I️ for some reason and there isn’t a way for me to change it, any help?

I agree but cynically (as is my wont) just know that no coach at Everton will exclude the golden child.

Liverpool fan in peace, I must admit from the outside looking in I am shocked that an appointment hasn’t been made yet, is this because of the member of the board all having different ideas? I think Dyche could do wonders for you but would need to be given time, don’t see the point in Allardyce till the end of the season as that’s Everton writing off the season you may as well give it to Unsworth! Least you will benefit from the experience he will gain, big sam will just take his pay check and run.

Good post WYred and I agree with everything. Only is Unsworth good enough to pull us up the table?

Myself I would not want Rhino to take charge till the end of the season mate, better to get a new manager in now, and he can then see what we need to to do in the Jan window re incomings and outgoings.

NBTB, currently it looks like its a straight fight between big sam and unsworth. Big sam would get you seventh at best, unsworth won't get you relegated so what's the differnce between 7th and 12th for arguments sake. Unsworth would have more experience to take back to the u23's and you then have the remainder of the season to find a successor.
Guernsey i think that's the problem, no one is willing to lose their manager at this stage so you are picking from unemployed managers and big sam imo is not the answer.

Hi mate I still reckon Dyche will be our next manager.

12 Nov 2017 19:30:21
This will probably get me some hate, but if i was advising dyche i would advise him against it. Evertons squad is so unballanced at the minute and if it went wrong for him it would massively impact his reputation. I believe he has a chance of getting burnley 7th this year which if the chips fall correctly would mean european football.

12 Nov 2017 19:44:37
But if he did get the team up and running at Everton, which I have no doubt that he would what would that say for his reputation mate.

12 Nov 2017 21:52:13
Completely agree, just think he has unfinished business at Burnley and no doubt the England job will be up for grabs next summer and a good finish with Burnley will stick him right in the frame.

We are only 8 points off 5th and 4 points of 8th. beat Palace and the context of our panic will be clear. Still something nags me that we sacked RK too quickly.
Not disagreeing he was a cold fish who didn't talk EFC up enough but I reckon the entire club lost its bottle.

If he wants it then I say Rhino is fine if it means getting the club's ideal candidate in the summer. Although I'd love to hear that we got Silva or Simeone.

No Sam not required as we are never in danger of relegation. And that's all you're good for.

No Sean. Sorry but I have a hunch you will be yet another manager who fades away. The club would spit you out and ruin you so stay a small fish in a tiny pond.

Unfortunately Unsworth is still to naïve and untried to be used as an experiment or stop gap at premier level, some of the managers mentioned will not want Everton but a CL club which makes the choice even more difficult. The decision on a replacement is tough due to the availability of managers at this time of the season.
I for one am not wanting to see us settle for a relatively safe finish, if we have aspirations to be a big club in respect of winning trophies and attracting top players please translate the club motto before hiring Messrs BK and FM!

Is anyone else a bit mythed about Vlasic being left out since Unsworth been in charge. Espeically as reports say he is not injured, thought he has been playing quite well.

Slightly controversial question maybe but does anyone else think Bainsey should relinquish his left back role and play further forward? His crossing ability is without doubt fantastic when he does it, but imho he's not the greatest when it comes to defending is he.

Personally I like the idea of a Back 3 with Baines and Coleman as wing backs. Trouble is that we don’t have 3 solid defenders to play like that.

12 Nov 2017 07:33:06
We don't have any left backs. Please don't take our only one away.

12 Nov 2017 07:54:58
Baines isn’t quick enough to play further forward and he can’t beat a man anymore, he is sadly our only left back (whatever happened to Garbutt? ) but he needs replacing ASAP.

Once Funes Moro and Coleman are back I'd like to see us with a back three. FM, Keane and Holgate with Baines and Coleman as wing backs. Gueye in front of them, Sig as number 10 then Lookman and Vlasic either side of DCL.

Whilst Silva or Simeone would be perfect, I am personally warming to the idea of Dyche, people go on about Tuschal, they've had similar careers only Dyche hasn't managed a top club. I would prefer Silva or Simeone of course but wouldn't be sad if we got Dyche, people harp on about his style of football, I don't think it's bad, certainly not as bad as Allerdyce and people want Simeone who hardly plays Barcelona style 2010.

I think we desperately need a centre back to partner Keane, a left back to replace Baines and a striker to replace, well, just to play.

On a special say as today is, let's all stop and think about the real dogs if war that fought in 1St and 2nd world war for us. Millions of lives lost, a few who played for our great club too. God bless you. Lest we forget.

In the cast around for a c/ back, young, good in the air, and able to complement keane, we could do worse than bringing back shanne duffey, sold to blackburn for chicken feed, and would cost a lot more to bring him back, but has proved himself at brighton and at international level.
