What toss er disgreed.
any 1 who sings songs about tragic events at a football match needs wiping out of the game
Full respect to LFC fans those of us who were at villa the same day waited for news on family and freinds, some got the news they dreaded, i was 1 of the lucky 1s whos brother came home from shef wed
On behalf of every decent evertonian i am sorry for the minority of that chant

Ed, would you consider deleting the agree/disagree option? People seem to abuse it...

Vincent JFT96 {Ed025's Note - i would myself vinny, but its not my site mate...some people disagreed with a post on the reds site which said jft96 there are some scum bags out there mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed, I'm completely dismaid that some supporters could click disagree on so many posts supporting the 96, football is a sport that unites billions around the globe in passion, excitement , and heart ache, I love the banter and il be one of the first to stick it to our red neighbours when they deserve it. However this not one of those times, we should be standing shoulder to shoulder with them, I'm ashamed that there are so called supporters out there who just don't care...

This may just be me but does anyone else think Osman should be given an England call up? All I ever hear about England is "we need to keep the ball more." Look no further then Ossie then, technically brilliant and very rarely gives the ball away. Then again he might start getting some well deserved credit if he gets a call up, and teams will start noticing him. Ossie is an undiscovered gem.

Jay EFC

Believable6 Unbelievable6

No chance...he is an average player who has 'quick feet' but no pace and runs in straight lines. credit where it is due however he has one quality game in every five. Osman is nowhere near International standard in my opinion, however half of the England squad arent

Chris91W

Agree0 Disagree0

I said it the other day OSSIE 4 ENGLAND, much better than cleverly in the role he played

Agree0 Disagree0

And Henderson is international standard, I think not

Agree0 Disagree0

Osmans better than james milner and stewart downing he cant do any worse {Ed025's Note - your right..

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately Osman should of been called up 3 or 4 years ago. I think its was 2007/2008 he was bang on form and at his best in my opinion and there was talk in the press but it never happened.
He will be one of the best players that never got a cap and deserved to get one.

Fair play to Cameron for coming out but where is thatcher she should be held accountable as she covered up as much as anyone all those people who thought she was a good pm what do you think of her now she should of made this happen years ago I know it's not her fault at what happened but she should of made todays news happen over 20 years ago and she turned a blind eye

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Funny that, there was me thinking a labour government had been in power for over a decade up until Cameron. I suppose the ignorant Thatcher haters don't ask the question why Mr Blair turned a blind eye and refused to re open the case. I forgot, whilst bankrupting the country he was busy blowing people up and building that golden nest egg he's currently sitting on.

All politicians Lie.

Richard III {Ed025's Note - listen tory boy!...i am not prepared to make this a political issue, but that cow was head of the government at the time, and if the authorities did their job properly in the first place, there would not have been a case to re-open!..

Agree0 Disagree0

They are all as bad as each other

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025, Jack Straw oversaw a review in 1997 that exonerated basically everyone involved and supported several accidental death coroners verdicts. So it's probably best you don't make a political issue out of it..... {Ed025's Note - because that bitch thatcher let it be swept under the carpet, and since then it has been hard for other governments to follow it through, as the evidence was hidden. if it had been done at the time when the evidence was fresh, the families would not have had to endure 23 years of suffering....so i blame her!..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm no Tory, I detest the lot of them. I'm just highlighting the usual blind hypocrisy associated with 'labour boys'. You don't feel any anger towards the government that was in power from 1997 to 2010 then ed? Are you telling me they assisted in our fight for justice? They had 13 years to right Maggies wrong, funny how it took a Tory to do it. New Labour, don't make me laugh. They couldn't have cared less about this issue.

Richard III {Ed025's Note - be careful that silver spoon does,nt fall out your mouth richard...if it was not for her government sweeping it under the carpet, it could have been sorted 23 years ago..

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one Ed it's party time when she croaks!

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem wth this post is its turning into a politial party broadcast. The facts are: a tragedy happend which was covered up. We dont know by who at present but when/if we find out then hopefully they all will be punished. Then Justice will be served.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha silver spoon. How original. I didn't name call. Shame it's not accurate. No Ed, you blame Thatcher for what followed the disaster. God she did wrong, but It's almost like you treat the cover up as more severe than what caused 96 people to lose their lives. Had people done their jobs in the first place, there would have been nothing to cover up. I guess political bigotry does blind folk from the important issues sometimes. If it was down to you, Thatcher would be publicly executed and the people truly responsible for the deaths, would roam around the streets and watch it. Good news for you is shes not gunna last too much longer. Youl soon be able to pop that champagne.

Richard III {Ed025's Note - good idea that richard...can you get me a ticket mate?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I couldn't give a s**t about politics of any shade in this case, ALL INVOLVED should be held to account no matter what party, those in charge at the time as they were responsible, but those who have carried out so called "reviews" over the years and found there was no case to answer too, if proved they had access to the information released yesterday, then they are all guilty of lying to the public and misleading Parliament. Likewise all those faceless top civil servants who were obviously more concerned about their expected knighthoods and fat pensions when they retire rather than actually serving the public need to be held to account as well.

WtG. {Ed025's Note - good point mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I can not believe any1 can defend that evil cow, she was in charge of the country and her police force were corrupt, the did the awful headline with the lies, that paper was her mouthpice, your an person lad(richard 111) and an embarressment to everton supporters
school of science

Agree0 Disagree0

Richard, you are trying to dfend the infensible. Maggie fostered the antipathy towards football fans in general by her over-reaction to the blight of hooliganism. She tarred us all with the same brush, and oversaw the erection of the cages in football grounds, which contributed to the loss of life at Hillsborough. She was all too happy to go along with prejudice shown by the Police. Jack Straw is a hypocrite too.

Bluewal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys Im not sure Rich III is defending Thatcher he`s just saying shes not the only responsible one that should be held accountable. IMO anyone tory or labour who knew that there was a case to answer should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and anyone actively involved in covering it up should face a prison term of say... 23 years

toffeeAL {Ed025's Note - sounds fair to me al..

Agree0 Disagree0

To anyone who thinks I'm defending her, I'm not!  ToffeeAl sees what I'm trying to say... I just see one stand out individual who everyone seems to blame and my point is there are others who were actually responsible for the loss of life. We don't know who they are, but we will eventually. Justice starts here. Thatcher was involved in burying it. The next governments continued to bury it. I want to know what and who they buried. and it is those individual's who my fight for justice is with. School of science, you got a problem with that?

Once upon a time, an Evertonion wrote a post.

Not just any post, but a post about a rumour.

The rumour was that Felliani had said he's gonna be leaving Everton in January, or one more season at Everton.

The Evertonion tried to squash this rumour, with a light hearted post, surgesting that not all that we read in the newspapers is true.

Some of the people on the site reacted with love, even saying things like "nice post Doc" and "Love it Doc" But others reacted differently....

The RS

The terrible people from across the park, decided that they would have to intervene on this happiness, as they where not happy themselves.

They didn't like the happy banter that was going on and decided to post some childish responses.

The Evertonions where wise to this, as it was not the first time that the RS had tried to upset the Mighty Blues.

A great battle commenced, Blues, Reds Reds and Blues, the warriors of Degsy and Tristan Battled hard, while ED025 tried to keep the battle contained, the guy with no name tried to counter attack, supported by the one they call Nostawigus, until everyone went to bed.

The next day, to try and incite the Blues again, the Gobs**tes, tried to put the great ED025 against the Gods Doctor, suggesting there was a rift between them.

This ultumity failed, as the mighty Blues always stick together.

The one with No name fought hard and became Braveheart, a play on words as he was not brave and had no heart, although he did acknowledge his enemy, for their truley heroic efforts..

The RS where Banished from the site, sent back too their own sad little world, tails well and truely between their legs, Scarred but not forgotten, as one day they may return, to seek vengence.

The Blues carried on with their lives, satisfied in the fact that, they would reign supreme over their once great enemies.
Knowing that, come end of the season, the true rulers of Merseyside would be crowned!

To be continued................

Gods Doctor {Ed025's Note - That's one of the best posts that I have read on this site...brilliant doc!..

Out of these current players who are around the first team do fellow blue's and the Everton ed's think can get themelves a regular starting place at Everton?

Coleman
Duffy
Barkley
Gueye
Vellios

Coleman is 22, Gueye and Duffy are 21.
Vellios is 19 and Barkley is 18. {Ed025's Note - i would say only barkley at the moment, as the side looks so strong, they are all good players and will in time get their chance, but for me ross is the stand out candidate..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Coleman has been in the team this season.
Ste F 1878

Coleman is 23 gueye is 22 and vellios is 20

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman: 23
Gueye: 22
Duffy: 20
Vellios: 20

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Coleman will eventually be a regular right back, Gueye will eventually be a regular winger, Duffy will be called upon more once Distin hangs his boots. Barkley will be sent out on loan for at least a season before any attempt to integrate him in to first team and Vellios will get frustrated at lack of first team action and leave, although I hope he stays because the lad has great potential!

Neville Fellaini

Naismith Osman Pienar

Jelavic

Id also give Johnny a run out at some point for either Neville or Distin. Mirallas for Naismith/Osman or Jelavic and give Oviedo 10 or 20 minutes on the left

I think I might do my badges!

Great result today for the reds now the families need someone held to account and that awful verdict of accidental death quashed I no all blues will made up for them aswell and help make sure they never walk alone ...LIAM ... {Ed025's Note - it was a great result today liam...it just goes to show how corrupt the police, ambulance service, and especially the thatcher government was..now its time to bring these cowards, and charlatans to book!..i hope it brings some solace to the families and friends of the 96, who are still suffering..i know by the posts on here, that the everton supporters feel the same way, and on their behalf would like to congratulate the families support group for their stirling effort over the past 23 years to finally uncover the truth...JUSTICE FOR THE 96..at last!...PS calvin mcenzie..may you rot in hell..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed 25 I agree with all you say (especially with regards to that bag mckenzie) it's disgusting that it has taken 23 years for the truth to come out but lets hope the families of the 96 can now find closure at last.

WtG.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackenzie just reported what the police sources deliberately told him - that's all {Ed001's Note - not true at all, he reported what one news agency in Sheffield were saying. Then he consistently lied about where he got the news from, even trying to blame a Liverpool-based news agency. The man has lied, lied and then lied again. All he has been bothered about is his personal wealth, being hated has made him a fortune and gets him money for TV appearances over and over again. He is scum. You are a fool if you believe him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It is written in the press today in article titled 'Named, Blamed and Shamed' that outlines what each person involved did, that...

"The police source for The Sun's vilified front page...
Paul Middup, the then secretary of the South Yorkshire Police Federation, was one of the sources for a front-page article in The Sun newspaper condemned by grieving families which accused fans of urinating on police officers and stealing from the dead.

At a meeting the morning that the paper appeared, the report reveals he said 'putting our side of the story to the press and media' had been his priority.

Minutes of meetings show he discussed rumours of fans stealing from dead bodies and said it was important to get the force's 'message' across.
Middup is understood to have run the South Yorkshire Police Credit Union following his retirement."

I see no reason why Kelvin MacKenzie would deliberately print something he knew was completely false. He was an editor and as he was not there to witness events for himself he is reliant on others providing him with information. Senior Police sources should normally be reliable. He probably learnt a lesson on this one (and he has apologised).

Are you responsible for wrong information provided to you that gets printed on these pages?

I actually think you're a bit too forthright with your own criticisms and opinions - you shouldn't really be doing that as an editor. {Ed025's Note - who died and left you in control of what i say?...like you, i am expressing an opinion..are you really trying to justify what mackenzie did?..heres an opinion for you..YOUR A BLITHERING IDIOT!..he was told by the author of the article that nothing was verified, and it was that scum bag who chose the headline..THE TRUTH..so get off you high horse, and out of mackenzies arse..because your bang out of order!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it's the role of an editor of these pages - where fans come just find out gossip about the team and discuss general Everton related stuff - to slag off contributors who may just have an opinion different to their own.

I've just offered my own opinion on Kelvin MacKenzie and his role in this - it may or may not be right, I'm not an expert on him or it - but I reckon most newspaper editors have to make judgements on what to print and what not. In this case he didn't get it right but I don't think he did it deliberately or with malice - he relied on police sources (and others - who may also have been fed by same police sources).
I honestly don't think you should call contributors 'fools' or 'persons' for expressing perfectly reasonable points of view that you don't agree with.
You're an editor here - it's not your page - it's not your domain to just do, say or insult contributors however you like.
You seem to believe that you're dealing with a load of 15 year old numpties who know nothing and who you can just berate and slag off whenever you feel like it.
I personally think you should be less opinionated and not insult people.

How would you like it if people started slagging you off calling you names? You'll note I haven't replied in kind. {Ed025's Note - i did note that you never left a name with your post!..you say your not an expert on mackenzie, and your dead right,,YOUR NOT!...he is a absolute scum bag, and who are you to say whether or not i should have an opinion?..if you dont want to be treated like a 15yr old..dont post like one..

I would just like to say well done to everyone involved in the fight for justice of the 96. It is an absolute disgrace that the government, police, councillors, the sun newspaper and the paramedics on that day, can collude and mislead this country in to believing that passionate football supporters were to blame for the harrowing events on that day. They should all be held accountable for there part in the cover up.

With the Hillsborough documents being released today, hopefully the truth about that tragic day will at last come out. They say that Cameron is going to issue an apology in Parliament, I'd rather hear it from Thatcher - she was the one who looked down her nose at Scousers, the arrogant cow!
On the subject of apologies, I wonder if that ass wipe of a rag, the Sun, will do the same?
Finally, a big well done to Andy Burnham, who put aside any football rivalry to campaign long & hard on behalf of the 96 & their families, showing what being a Merseysider is really all about.

England do not use Baines like we use him at Everton, he is the 2nd highest goalscoring and assists full back in the WORLD just behind Dani Alvas!
You would think someone as experienced as Hodgson and as experienced as Gerrard and Lampard in the middle would use him when he makes runs into space on the left.
Every attack England done last night was from the right with Milner and Johnson who tried and tried but very rarely delivered any quality or dangerous moments when they got in position!!
Then Hodgson goes for the easy choice of bringing Baines off, Engalnd's next 2 attacks when down the left and eventually we won a pen from a left wing cross!!
Unbelievable!
