I saw Moyes say he wanted a striker.
Jelly may as well start packing then!

Believable0 Unbelievable6

The top teams usually have squads with four top strikers that they can rotate, especially if they're involved in all four major competitions and thereby have around 60 matches to play.
CheekyChappie

Agree0 Disagree0

I no they have more cash but man u have 4 strikers we have 2 because vellios is a reserve

Steve McClaren to replaces David Moyes at end of season. He has just been asked live on ESPN while being a pundit on a Dortmund game v Auguene. He more or less said yes.

How can he say yes when he's not been offered anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent wind-up. I bet the original poster can't wait for someone to bite.

What was said? Rob Walker

In my opinion we win on Tuesday we had a real chance of 3rd/4th. If not we hope for 5th. Also I think we should consider this side for next year.

Howard

Coleman
Jagielka
Distin or (Buy Howedes from Shalke 04)
Baines

Mirallas
Fer
Gibson
Pienaar

Anichebe
Negrado

IMO sell Felli 25M+, Heitinga 4/5M, Gueye 2. 5M.

Buy
Fer 8M
Negrado 13M
Howedes 7M
Invest in around 3 of moyes's scouting missions. Also I think osman is good but if we get into champions league we will need to consider a power house midfielder like fer instead of osman.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Arsenal fan in peace! Also love Everton think your squad is really good if u could keep everyone & add 1 or 2 you would b a definitely for a top 4 place next season. Best u can hope for on Tuesday is a draw we are on a great run of form its a home game. I think it's a 2-1 win for the gunners. Good luck for your remaining games (after Tuesday of course)

-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey, Moyes' poor away record against the sly 4 has to come to an end eventually. It's going to happen Tuesday if you don't get favours off the lino's and the ref. 2-1 to the mighty Blues

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok good luck

I read on one of the Everton sites that Negredo's agents are in talks with us over a deal, nothing confirmed yet though.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Moyes said on MOTD that he would love a striker, now let's face it, it looks like Negredo is off to Dortmund, below is a list of realistic (I hope) strikers I would like us to look at, just post your opinions lads.

John Guidetti
Kevin Gameiro
Vydra (watford on loan from Udniese)
Di santo if he is a free in the summer
Wissam Ben Yedder
Dzagoev
Now he isn't a striker but I would like us to at leats consider getting Frimpong, not for comical reasons but on a footballing level he needs to improve his passing and disclipline but he is great at winning the ball back, he is a free in the summer it is unlikely but I do rate him.

COYB!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Half of them ain't strikers get your fact rite kiddo

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 17:47:33
Guidetti? Striker, know this because he was on loan at feyenoord.
Ben yedder? Striker, know this because Athletico madrid were after him to replace Adrian
Di Santo? Striker, not a goal scorer but is a clear striker
Dzagoev? Attacking mid who can play as a striker
Gamiero? Striker, I know this because he started up front last season and played alonside Ibrahimovic against Barca in the first leg after he came on, get your facts right kiddo.

COYB!

Anyone else think Maloney from Wigan would be a good successor to peanut?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I do although he's 29 now so we need someone younger IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Play oviedo or buy sinclair

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't buy sinclair, he's not going to improve us. He's right footed and doesn't cross when played on the left. Brilliant for Swansea in championship but found out in epl.

Toffee ace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcmannaman who we got rid of looks a better bet

Agree0 Disagree0

Replace ossie

Agree0 Disagree0

Or we could just play Oviedo, who has sat on the bench for most of the season!

Don't know who has do what to victor, but, he looks like a totally differant player to the one who started this season. Good coaching, or has he just grown up and recognised what he has got. With the right service, He looks like 20 a season striker! {Ed025's Note - the latter i think mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Can't see him ever being a 20 goal a season player. Decent squad player though. We need better than him to move forward next season.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree, he has looked a totally different player since Christmas. He's recently came up against Shawcross and Samba, two players who last season would have bullied him out of the game, not this time, he gave as good as he got, if not more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Mike. He's not a 20, a 20 would have buried that header he completely missed yesterday.

Good for about 20 games not 20 goals.

Toffee ace {Ed025's Note - we will have less of that agreeing with mike ace, its just not on!...:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mike, I disagree now. I buckled under Eds pressure.

Ed, please accept my apologies for that clear error of judgement ;-)

Toffee ace {Ed025's Note - ill let you off this time ace..but your on a yellow mate..:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice to see a bit of humor on here lol good stuff Ed and posters come on Mike crack a joke mate. Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

In a really great season Vic could get 12-15. I don't think he is a 20 a season man as his movement is different to a poacher. However he gets in these positions a lot, just not enough for 20.

Have Vic up front with a 20+ man and you have a strike partnership to scare the boots off any team.

Would really like to see diame at everton next season very good player and snippet at the 3. 5 m release clause
Ant wharton

Believable5 Unbelievable2

14 Apr 2013 13:49:49
Me too Ant, I think Arsenal may be calling for him though mate

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Me too.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Arsenal going in for him, they don't like proper CDM's.

Agree0 Disagree0

Patrick Vieira?

Agree0 Disagree0

I mean't at the moment, not in the past. Hence why they played Alex Song, who really wasnt defensively minded at all, and now Mikel Arteta, who isn't either.

Ed how much do you think Hernandez from Man U would cost. He has said he is leaving in the summer and, in my opinion, is exactly what we need. What do you think? {Ed025's Note - he is a great impact sub for united, but when he starts, not so good imo, great finisher though, and maybe with a good run in a side could be very good, i would suggest he would cost around the £8m mark, but thats just a guess..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Would love Chicarito and is a player I think we lack in the squad. Anichebe and Jelavic are both pretty similar styles, could do with a small, pacy, poacher striker like Hernandez.

Don't see it happening though

Agree0 Disagree0

If Hernandez had an injury-free season as 1st choice for us, he'd get 17-20 goals IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't leave United he started for them today

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini started for us yesterday. Does that mean he won't leave either?

I've heard John Lundstram is doing really well on loan at the minute, even seen someone compare his last performance to 'A young Steven Gerrard' (Yes I know). But its all good signs anyway. Hopefully another young player that might get a few games under his belt next season if we do get Europe.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Cracking player, his passing range is second to none, can pick a player anywhere on the pitch and deliver a perfect pass. Much like Gibson.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would like to see him along with a few of the other youngsters be given their chance, but under Moyes I have the feeling - sadly - it won't happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't say he was like Steven gerrard he's more like a Michael Carrick or indeed Darron Gibson, fantastic player looking like a good prospect

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 09:44:10
Ed, do you know the exact date Moyesees contract expires, I think we could do with a countdown as if he has not signed before it expires then he will be off

Degsy {Ed025's Note - i dont sorry degsy..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I beleive it's the 30th June but don't quote me on that - that's when most seasonal player contacts end.

I think if we get europa league football next season which is the most likely scenario, and we do a deal with Chelsea for Fellaini 25m in the summer we should ask for Lukaku on loan, as rumour has it he wants to go to a team that has european football next season. We will need a lot of players. So what about Al Habsi 5m, Diame 5m, Honda 5m, Sinclair 5m, Fer 8m, with Lukaku on loan, keep Hitzelsperger for another season. With just Mucha, Neville and Fellaini the only ones to leave.

Squad everton 13/14

1 A Alhabsi
2 T Hibbert
3 L baines
4 D Gibson
5 J Heitinga
6 P Jagielka (capt)
7 and Jelavic
8 B Oviedo
9 R Lukaku
10 K Honda
12 J Stone
14 S Naismith
15 S Distin
16 J Hitzelsperger
17 S Sinclair
18 L Fer
19 A Vellios
20 R Barkley
21 L Osman
22 S Pienaar
23 S Coleman
24 T Howard
25 S Duffy
26 M Diame
27 J Kennedy
28 V Anichebi

Big strong squad with a few more fringe players
Springthorpe, Bidwell, Garbutt, Lundstram, Hope, Green and 1 or 2 more. So Ed and fellow blues would this squad be big enough and good enough to compete on
all fronts.

Dero. {Ed025's Note - i would think so dero...but for me, al habsi is not any better than howard..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

14 Apr 2013 07:45:22
lets go for butland rather than al_habsi Pakistnai Blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Mirallas 11?

Agree0 Disagree0

Butland signed for stoke in January, they loaned him back to Birmingham for the rest of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Stoke get rid of Butland when they've only recently signed him, and with Begovic almost certain to leave in the summer?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pakistani Blue Butland has already agreed to join Stoke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Al Habsi has been dire this season, Howard is much better IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2013 13:48:21
Dont think Butland will want to play in championship mate lol

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think there is much between Alhabsi and Howard but its good competition which is what Howard needs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, yes Mirallas 11, my favorite player should have not forgot him.

Ed, do you know anything about changing our badge next season? I've heard a few whispers go round, cheers. {Ed025's Note - i have heard nothing mike, i cant see st ruperts tower being replaced anytime soon though mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We're going back to the late 80's badge of just the tower and laurel wreaths next season. It's on the hoodies and rugby shirts in the club shop now and has been so popular the club have decided to re-launch it.

Interesting clip

The offer of a coaching role to Neville indicated that Moyes is preparing for next season as Everton manager despite stalling over a new contract at Goodison. But the Scot protested: "I gave him an opportunity to stay on the staff - that would be better wording. There is nothing at the moment. I talk with the chairman regularly but there won't be anything until the end of the season.

"I have had a bit more information [on the club's finances this summer] and how I am going to be able to spend and use the money. A lot of it is to do with the Premier League rules as well. I have been getting some good stuff back. The club are obviously doing everything they can to make sure we have got what we need. We have a side that we need to start thinking about turning around a little bit. "
