Just read lukaku has been quoted saying he is happy at Everton.
Good news or bad, I don't know! This for "ME" has been the hardest season as a blue. I think it's because we have good quality players but the wrong team is playing with hard to understand formations and tactics. Roberto looks like he has lost the fans and parts of the team! I'm a big believer in a second chance so the Leicester game is his second chance, win with a justified team selection and hopefully onwards and upwards to bigger and better things. If we loose. well I think we all know what waits for us.

I agree Pauly,

Roberto Optimizes Tactical Frustration, and I think you're spot on in saying that the current squad has some of the best quality we've had in a while. And more so this being the main reason for our frustrations.

But I think RM has had enough chances now, and does need to get shot. we are playing like Wigan, or even worse infact.

Cannot blame Lukaku for those comments, he is speaking from the heart.
And from the heart I have never been so fed up with my club since I stood and stared in disbelief as we went 3-0 down to Middlesborough (Mike Walker's last match).
The brave players (the brown noses are keeping their heads down) are telling you the supporters that this muppet who Kenright has entrusted to take us forward is not fit for purpose.
No way can we blame the press for so many, 'misquotes', our club is in trouble.

If we were to get rid of RM (unlikely )

Who would you bring in?

Candidates:

Moyes.
Would u want him back? At this moment i'm half and half on the whole thing. RM has a better squad than Moyes ever had in his whole career at EFC, and yet we are lower than we have ever been in a while. For me this highlights Moyes's dedication. BUT the way he left was sour, and who wants to eat humble pie?

Vitor Peirea.
Remember him? Currently leading olympiakos to another league title. But that's another dead league with just 2 decent teams in it. And he did a similar task in portugal.

Laudrup.
Was very good initially for Swansea. They had a decent season, and since then have built to become much better. BUT I remember he spat his dummy out when no funds were given for improvement, so maybe h shouldn't join us for that exact reason. Also a bit of a weirdo.

Big Ol' 'Arry Redknapp
Lol I joke.

Klopp
Go from coaching Aubameyang and Reus to Mcgeady and Barry. who wouldn't want to do that??

Any of the current back room (big dunc/ unsy ect)
Do they have the experience? That is the real question. I think we need someone who appreciate s the Everton way, and understands the meaning of playing for the club to drill that into the players heads. BUT I don't thint that any of them are tactically good.

Having said that, neither is our current manager.

Anyone else?

For me, i'd take the back room people. No word of a lie there. We seem to be missing the passion and die hard attitude that we used to have a while back. Need our heads shaken a little too.

Klopp maybe persuaded at the end of the season or possibly earlier given Dortmund's record this season. There is also Bilic to consider and my personal favourite if we removed RM now (which we won't) which is Hoddle.

Parkinson from Bradford City.if he can get his Bradford team to regularly beat premier teams and recently score 4 against Chelsea at Stamford bridge, then he is worth a punt. This is all abit tongue in cheek, but I honestly don't know who I'd have or who would come to us.

Id love klopp, would get the best out of our youngsters and get real steals but we have no chance at all ever so that's just a pipe dream

I'm starting to lose my patience with rm but moyes is not the way forward and don't forget where we finished in his second season in charge. I honestly think we are all wasting our time with the Martinez out shouts because bill just won't do it. We better strap our selves in the the ride

Slaven Bilić - tactically astute and we've only ever won things when an ex player was in charge. Worth a punt surely? Could find some bargains as well. Gökhan Töre is a good player at Besiktas

I would have Moyes back despite the way he left the club. Who wouldn't turn down the opportunity to manage Man U. If he had been given the funds that Martinez has had progress would have been made. With Moyes and Kenwright I feel we had stability and respect in the league which has gone. As others have posted, the worse may yet have to come but remember Martinez is phenomenal.

Yes because when moyes had money he got some great players in there like yakubu, bilyaletdinov, johnson, beattie and jelavic. The reason roberto no plan b had money was because that genius moyes who had money at Manchester United went and wasted 27.5m on fellaini and also wasted 37m on mata, both are fools but to think progress would of been made if moyes had the fellaini money (which he wouldn't because no one would of bought him other than moyes and he can't buy his own player) is odd.

What a short memory you have. The guy couldn't wait to get away. Oh yea what did we win under him in all that time?

Agree0 Disagree0

. there's an old saying football management - never go back to a club twice!! So in light of this fact I wouldn't have Moyes back, anyone remember Howard Kendalls 2nd & 3rd times in charge?!? As I said before, Bobby will be given until christmas 2015 of next season - if there's still no improvement, he'll be gone. in terms of who next - Frank De Boer all day long - he spends little money, is great at developing the youth & academy at Ajax, can mix it both ways, tactically & defensively astute & has won the Dutch league title for the last 4 seasons on the bounce. Klopp would be great & Bilic would high up the list for me too. over to you Bill, you can do it a lot sooner if you like - there won't be too many Evertonians complaining I'm sure!

Moyes was here for 11 years we won nothing and maintained some winless away records at arsenal etc. He's not a winner, he never will be. So not for me

I got shot down for giving credit to moyes for what he's done for us and got shot down, never in his 10 years did he have the club unsettled like it is now, i'd take that all day from the sham I have been watching this season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Me too Mike. Had even more for suggesting there is worse to come with a rapidly ageing squad. It won't happen, but I would have Moyes back at the drop of a hat. He was always first in and last out. He created a discipline that Bobby has got rid of with a family casual approach. But not to worry, because Bobby is quite incredible.

Dont think I've ever shot anyone down, but I reckon Moyes is sitting pretty after watching us fail so badly. Its leaving a sour taste of our own medicine as it were.

I Very much feel as though we need someone like him back. Someone that can make us hard to beat, because the current manager is actually deluded.

We just sitting here eating humble pie now.

Dont think Mark Hughes would want to move to a team lower than him in the league tbh Swan.

I really don't want Moyes back now. That would probably be the wrong way to go. But just to make people realise what he did: In the 10 years prior to Moyes, we had 1 top 10 finish in that time. In Moyes 11 seasons we had 9 top 10 finishes. This is after the terrible ageing squad that he inherited. He replaced most of that squad within 2 years. When he left, he left us with players such as: John Stones, Jags, Coleman, Baines, Mirallas plus one or two others of real quality. He got us into Europe 4 times. Only Catterick and Kendall have managed more games in our long history. He won 10 manager of the months and 3 manager of the years. The players he signed and subsequently sold created a big profit for which Martines benefitted with the Sale of Fellaini. In my opinion, the progress made by Moyes has been wiped away in less than 2 seasons with RM.

I think its time for a reality check on Lukaku. The article was in The Sun so it will have been tweaked for sensationalism reasons, it's a disgusting rag which constantly spouts rubbish.
That said he's clearly said something which is at best naive at worst disloyal but in all honesty what has he said that deep down in places we don't want to admit that we didn't already know?
Currently we are not one of the top teams? Historically we are absolutely up there but to current players that sadly means very little. If were honest I'll bet most of us thought when we signed him that "if he keeps improving we won't lose money on him" I know I did as unfortunately we currently are a stepping stone for good young players and whilst disappointing that doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing it just has to be managed properly.
Secondly and I realise Martinez has had his faults this season but the few people having a go at him for signing Lukaku need to give their heads a wobble. Every one of us saw the signing as a massive statement of intent in the Summer as there was no reason to believe it wasn't. For years we have, myself included stated "why don't we just go out and buy a top striker" and for all intents and purposes we did! We and Martinez had no reason to believe he wouldn't be exactly what we wanted or needed which brings me nicely onto point three.
He's currently nowhere near good enough to play for a top team yet! And until he knuckles down no one is going to want to buy him so He's got some work/apologising to do over the rest of the season.
Finally the fickle nature of a footballer means that if we were to win the Europa (unlikely I know) all of this nonsense would probably go away!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why are people so surprised that a player has said these things, that's the nature of football these days. kiss the badge one week gone the next its how football has become so why do people expect it to be any different, footballers like most sports people have a shelf life and they use it to get the most they can its nothing new

I get a bit bemused when people seem to jump on the bandwagon and attack a player when the full facts are yet to be released. Has what the lad said been lost in translation? Has his words been twisted (wouldn't be the first time it has happened to a footballer) just to sensationalise a non-story? This kind of crap sells newspapers, always has and always will.
Look at the source of this article before making your mind up of what has been said. Seriously, does anyone on Merseyside, either red or blue, buy this sorry excuse for a paper? The majority of the press get things wrong, from time to time, but this one in particular sells itself on lie upon lie so why are people jumping on it like it is gospel truth?
Let's have a reality check here as well fellow blues. What makes a big club in football today? Trophies? We haven't won anything this century. Money? Depending on whom or what you believe, we don't have much spare. So where do EFC stand today? Hand on heart, we are not as big as we think we are and that pains me to say it, believe me. We are a well ran club, despite what people say of the board and, in particular, BK. We only have to look at teams like Leeds, Blackburn and Rangers to see the pitfalls that can overcome clubs. In reality, there are only a handful of clubs that can fight for the trophies in our nation, can we honestly say that we are able to challenge for them all? The answer, quite simply, is no and that is because other teams can go out and spend 100m+ on players to achieve their goals.
The only thing we can do is get behind our team and ignore the gutter press and their scurrilous stories. We are Everton, we are above all that crap
