Stoke have put in a cheeky bid for everton's supporters - only half a million though - as we don't sing or chant any more - though we do have quantity - which they don't have - kenwright was considering it but read in the small print that we're not his to sell!

Come on blues - we need more effort on the singing and chanting front!

At the game today in a box. A good away performance, Gibson did ok but needs time to gain understanding of the team. Donovan was star man, his movement and running was our main threat, lovely play to set up Anichebe for the equaliser. Saha needs a break as his touch today was terrible, but saying that from the replays I saw on the telly in the box he should have had two penalties. Neville is well past his best, and we need a new right back who can fill in at centre half......along with an out and out striker (Defoe would do) sharp in the box.
We are fairly sold at the back but p1ss poor up front. If we dont get a goal scorer in this window we are in for a long run in.

Regarding the Gibson deal, I fear that we have given first refusal on Rodwell or Barkley to United, reason being why would they accept 500K (rising to £2M) when they had £5M offered by Sunderland in the summer? I expect one will go on deadline day like Arteta so we cant spend the money!

In Moyes We Trust....In Kenwright We Dont!

P.S. Will Kenwright sell Everton?......Not Ever (Anogram)

Yep neville has 'gone' - great purchase and he's done us proud - but get him into the coaching staff now - he only passes the ball negatively and is too safe - makes mistakes as well - sorry phil old farther time has caught you up - hope you stay at EFC though :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually hope he plays less before i start to hate him. I remember when he first came he was awful, but slowly managed to get everyone on his side. He also performed very well last season. However today he lost the ball more times than i could count. He is too slow to be a defender now, and makes too many mistakes to be midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderlands bid was accepted by united, gibson did not agree personal terms with them, thats why the deal crashed. since then and after talking, or rather being told by fergie, he has accepted he has to move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its more likely rodwell if anyone, barkley just signed on, and everton wont wanna move him out just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Can people stop with this first refusal stuff? Man Utd accepted a bid of 4.5mil from Sunderland from Gibson, and Fergie wanted him out, but Gibson did not agree terms with Sunderland and the deal fell through. Fergie wasnt happy with this and has subsequent;y isolated him, the going out with Rooney and Evans was the last straw, also factor in his contract expires in the summer, 500K to 1mil was all he was going to be worth.

Seriously, why would we give United first refusal on our two brightest stars just to get a United player that Fergie clearly did not want? doesnt make sense does it?

Thought Duffy did well today. Yes we are thin on defense but we are thin everywhere. If we can only score one goal every other game (by accident at that) we won't do well in the standings or in the stands. Whatever funds are available get someone that create something more interesting to watch.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

You fund the money for them then, cause the club, just in case you have been living in alaska, has none

Better performance today( well it couldnt get much worse), first half was quite good, very impressed with gibson, he looks comfortable on the ball was always looking forward and not afraid to tacklle.

However! Saha, what the hell, he's making a mockery of the blue shirt, he wont chase, wont move, his positioning was shocking at best, someone should tell him that a centre forward is meant to spend some time in the box.

Mate you think hes bad you havent seen bendtner

Agree0 Disagree0

I think with donavan and drenthe up the flanks, be worth seeing if anachibes (sorry about the spelling) strength can work with them, time to move away from the old gaurd

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't just Saha though, Cahill did absolutely nothing all game and it appeared as if he didn't know where he was supposed to be playing

Why is everyone so negative about Gibson? Firstly, weve made a signing so thats a good start. Also the lad has potential to be a great player, he did play for Man Utd after all. Ok he didnt look like a superstar there but when you play in a team with the likes of Nani, Ronaldo, Scholes etc etc, ur always gonna look mediocre. If i remember right Phil Neville looked average there and how amazing has he been for us?! Also, smae situation with numerous players such as Diego Forlan, Gerard Pique, and Guisseppe Rossi amongst others. Lets give the lad a chance to show what he can do before we lynch him! I agree we have 3 Irish boys who want to prove to Trap that they should be on the plane for the Euros. Come on lads we are Everton fc the best supporters in the world. Lets stop bitching and moaning and stand up for our team and roar them on to a top ten team. One a Blue always a Blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gibson had a lot of preasure on him at united, everyone expected him to fill schole's boots, we just wanna see him do what the other midfielders arnt doing, fxxkin pass the ball forward, i think the lad will do good

Reading into elstone comments last night on the official site, i think a few things stand out. 1. he mentioned this "In truth, the answer to the question is simple and we can add in money from other player sales". which could mean we are willing to sell a player (rodwell could be lined up for man u?). 2 I think he may have had a dig at moyes after moyes said the arteta money has all gone to the bank. elstone said "as always, on all football-based matters at Everton, it will be the Manager making the decisions". That is how i interpreted it but others may see different. good to get others opinion.

Eds and to those actually who know.

I have no shares in anything so this is based on my limited knowledge of the finance world.

As I understand it Bill is the major shareholder?

However any offers that come in must be put to all shareholders?

If so based on Bill's previous stance regarding the ground move that he will abide by the majority decision. Is he perhaps inclined to go with the wishes of the majority of shareholders decision when it comes to accepting an offer for the club?

If he is the majority shareholder which I think means more than 50% of the shares then he can out vote all other shareholders, if he was just interested in lining his own pockets or solely responsible for turning down the rumoured 75 million offer and all debts cleared.

I put this out there because I don't
know if what I think is the case is right.

If it is then maybe as there always is in life more to it than we know.

Anyway if I'm right in my ponderings then it may give some food for thought themselves before finger pointing. COYB IMWT Big C

ps Weren't the witch trials terrible all those years ago, I wonder how they started? {Ed001's Note - he can sell his share of the club without needing permission from the rest, as far as I know anyway.}

I hereby withdraw my love and support for our once great club
A four and a half year deal for a below average player who could not get into a struggling side short of players indicates how far we have actually fallen
Not to mention that the meagre funds we have available have been wasted on this player
It is not Darron Gibson's fault...this lies with the inept laurel and hardy that is moyes and round

thank you so much for ruining my passion for our beloved club and indeed the sport
i Believe there is no coming back now we have reached the point of no return
I hope you are proud of yourself Kenwright

Fans should now vote with their feet and boycott the next home game...after all money is all that interests kenwright so lets hit him where it hurts

this aint a rumour but i just wanted to post this anyway,i think its time moyes and kenwright sat down and thought about plan b cos plan a isnt working, people may say im harsh or even crazy but hear goes, let sell some deadwood eg hibbert heitinga billy cahill saha neville i think that would bring in around 15 mill and maybe sell fellini or rodwell for around 18 mill thats 32 mill, give 10 mill to bank to keep them happy leaving 22mill,bring in billy sharp 2m jordon rhodes 3.5m and maynard 1m,3 excellent cf for 7m fightin with anicebe for 2 slots giving excellent compition up front,id start with sharp and rhodes, leaving 15 mill spare for a classy cb which id go for samba for around 6m still some spare for some young backup players, and bring some youngsters through from youth team so with this id like to see this at end off january,gk howard lb baines cb jags cb samba rb coleman lw maybe piennaar on loan cm barkley cm gibson rw drenthe cf sharp cf rhodes.........stan the man

Believable3 Unbelievable4

We would go down with tha team anichebe is worst striker in prem

Agree0 Disagree0

This team is alot better than the one weve got at mo,plus its an all rounder, money for bank and money for team, weve got to let go of theses players what are her now,i dont see a takeover anytime soon so i thought this was a good option i will go with anichebe not being brill but would be usefull from bench just ask west brom, come on boys somethings gotta give, what do you think ed

Agree0 Disagree0

I have too agree anichebe is awful really really terrible y does he not give the argie 3 or 4 games i think he can be good if given a chance watched im on utube looked quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Stan, how can you slate hibbert, he is a solid defender, ok he dont go forward well but he throws a great tackle, you will not get money for saha or nevile, saha is gone end of season anyway so who will pay for a striker not scoring now, nevile is already agreed he is staying and going into coaching at everton (last contract extension if i remember right) so that leaves the other 3, i agree they could go, but not getting 15 mil for them, and if you sold all them you need to replace them with better, thats the idea, we would have no proper right back, or cover, colemans defensive qualities still need a lot of work, we wont get samba, he will go in this window, we certainly not doing all them in this window to gain funds to buy him, and on top of that you would let are best midfielder felli go for 18 mil, i defo wont, rodwell, i would, i have commented before on him, he is over rated midfielder, dont know if he will become a 20 mil CB, time will tell.
with your plans you destroy a already fragile team, bring in 2 unproven forwards, leave us with no cover in defence (look at us now) and use youth team players to fill gaps, and expect this done in just over 2 weeks, wow, lay off the skunk mate, your brain cells are fried. you wanna see us in the championship......byn

Agree0 Disagree0

Byn i will agree about some off your comments in your statement, suppose keep neville as he will go on to be a good coach and saha i must admit didnt relise he was out of contract at end of season, all im saying is it would be nice to see a new look everton as we dont have loads to spend,im from the doncaster area and sharp would be a great signing, hes strong fast and scores goals and rhodes would be a gamble but worth a punt got to be worth a try,and you say hibbert a good defender wake up and smell the coffe hes worst rb not just in prem but football....stan the man

Agree0 Disagree0

Yer but stan, hes the best defensive RB we have mate, thats my point, im all day for new players, i think he shoulda done a lot of selling in the summer, and totally refreshed the side then, but then that was when i was under the impression felli was never gonna re-sign...its a hard shout mate, a lot of loan players, or players too old and coming to end of contract, we will sell a name, if not now defo in the summer, and moyes will have to be given a good slice of the fee, cause he needs to pull another load of good players out the hat on the cheap....so long as he stays....byn

Agree0 Disagree0

I think theres gonna be changes mate, this rodwell rumour just wont go away and if we were rich id tell man u to go away nicely but cos were not rich the money being shouted about is 22 mill and i think weve gotta take it,but what moyes will spend is another story if we do get that money then we can look for more quality cf maybe defoe or kalou but i will still stay to my original and say i think billy sharp and jordon rhodes would be excellent buys,rb issue could be solved aswell maybe onucha from city would be a good shout im sorry about hibbert but i carnt stand him i personally think hes very poor at best,i think id rather play coleman there and is defensive instinct would some come, just may point off view.....stan the man

Agree0 Disagree0

Stan ..... agree with coleman, if hes gonna be a RB gotta work on his defence and stick him in there, i think were on the same grounds as were we will be going, sell someone, buy small from lower leagues and hope they turn into tim's and lesscott's (dirty traitor) we need them fresh faces to boost the team more than anything...byn
