Just a post about Fantasy Football, the top 3 in this years league were as follows:

1) Gladiators-Gurvinder Sidhu-2, 429
2) blue sky-Steve Skapik-2, 395
3) Merlin's Men-Adrian Kemble-2, 387

Will try and set another one up when next season comes around if people are still up for it then.

Because we've qualified for the Europa League, and we'd be playing matches on Thursdays and Sundays, would we have more matches shown on Sky Super Sunday?

I think if this was the case it would give us a lot more television money. Even though Everton finished fifth in the league, they earned the seventh most.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It all depends on what matches they switch from Saturday to Sunday as all fixtures when they come out are for Saturday.Teams only get switched to Sunday when sky want to show their match as for us we automatically switch to Sunday when we play on Thursday night. I remember spurs were playing a good few games on Sunday because of the Europa league and not all or a lot were shown on TV.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate, most would just be played with virtually no coverage at all except sporadic reports on ssn by Tony Gale or some other reporter who isn't good enough to make the Saturday crew. That's the only dissapointment for me with us qualifying. The fact we play mostly on a Sunday it's the worst scenario for me in so many ways mostly because I work a lot of Sundays which makes it very difficult for me to go at times rendering my £680 season ticket useless :( still wouldn't change it for the world though. European footy back at the old lady where it belongs :)) COYBB!! But in answer to your question mate, no if it's a bog standard game it won't be promoted to tv just because it's on a Sunday. Our games will be pre selected and the odd view big tv games that are on a saturday will be moved to Sunday as well :/

Official TV Rights 2014 have been announced. EFC finished 7th in TV rights being shown a miserly 16 times the past year. Thus, GBP85, 027, 727 million is awarded, a massive increase of GBP33.2M on last season. What a ghastly task for a Manager. On one side, keep the team in the EPL and on the other, play attractive football to ensure the bountiful TV rights funds. Many a good manager will fail.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dare we assume that we can spend some of that? Imagine, the alleged 20-30 PLUS this additional 33. What could RM do with 60+ million in his back pocket? Oops sorry, I think I was dreaming for a moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

And I'm sorry but it doesn't matter how good your football is. If you're not one of the Sky 4, they won't put you on the TV.

Agree0 Disagree0

Living in Sweden I don't have this issue as every game is televised, however to cut Sky some slack they are a commercial company trying to make money. If the two best footballing teams were Southampton and Everton sadly our combined fanbase is arguably lower than a quarter of Uniteds or Chelseas or Liverpools on a global basis, therefore the amount sky can charge for advertising decreases, which in turn means there profits decrease, which would result in less money from tv rights when they are next negotiated. We all seem to be excited and happy with the new tv money so I would not complain too much, its because of the global reach of the "sky 4" that the rest of the league prospers. Its basic supply and demand

Good point Svenny. Makes perfect sense that

If we can't get Lukaku or Bony then I think we should go for Remy, he has been good for Newcastle this season and he wouldn't cost to much. I also think we need another good striker to compete with Remy, mayer get Traore on loan for another season.

Just heard a nice one on tsport. Silvain Distin has just announced that despite having never been picked at full international level for France (and having IMO just played his best football this season at club level) that he will now be hanging up his international boots and no longer wishes to be selected for his nation.
The French have only got themselves to blame as he now should be packing his bags for Brazil.
France's loss is Everton's gain next season.

Everyone knows he will be wearing a utd shirt soon as any decent player you have does so once a blue always a red coyr.

Just seen the water rat on Spanish TV. Looks like he is on his way to Real. That just leaves it Sturridge and Sterling to dive for your penalties next season.
