Believable0 Unbelievable0

What's the countdown for {Ed025's Note - some guy promised that the takeover will happen by 10pm tomorrow!...23 hours and 33 minutes..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bull s**t ! comeing from a true blue nothing will happen for 2 more years ill just sleep till then hopefully we will get a buy out then awake us sleeping giants! COYB "let go iv you love the club" {Ed025's Note - call back tomorrow....after 10pm.....22 hours and 56 minutes..

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get taken over by 10pm tomorrow night then that would be a countdown conundrum.....it's the way I tell em. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - hey!!..i do the jokes here wavo....lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ed who has said this mate, is there a source i.e. reputable paper etc - degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - its a promise from a blues fan who is apparently in the know degsy.....13 hours and 48 minutes...

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just someone trying to wind us up! There was someone on the unofficial everton app a couple of months ago claiming he knew that we were gonna be sold got everybody riled up (just like you are now) then came out and said he was having a laugh and hes actually a stoke city fan! (Stoke! Lol) so this could be him again or someone just trying to be funny! So i would ignore it and just see what happens but while were waiting carry on supporting the lads who need to put in a big performance and claim all 3 points on saturday! Coyb! {Ed025's Note - we live in hope mate..

Ed you seem to be the man well in the know, I moved down south and only get to go away games down here (London) from what u have heard who are the main buyers and how far a long are the talks. Would you be good enough to keep me informed please thanks {Ed025's Note - apparently there are 12 prospective buyers, according to one of our supporters!..as far as i am aware the tata group have shown interest, and the jain group, the latest is apparently a prince from qatar...but there is a lot of guessing going on..

I've been following this page a lot recently, and been reading all the rumours about possible transfers, but how we have a lack of funds, and i've actually just come to quite a depressing realisation. we had 24mil, yet we brought bily, heitinga and distin. Bily now wants to leave, and that will probably be for about 4-5mil, and we paid 9mil. heitinga has also talked of leaving, and that will probably be for about 3mil, and distin is good, but 6mil for a rapidly aging cb from a cash strapped club forced into selling cheap anyway?? just think who we could buy now for 24mil. Doumbia, ramsey, any of the players mentioned on this forum recently. If only we could get the money back... {Ed025's Note - the only thing i can say, to cheer you up is...ANDY CARROLL....lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha, well thanks ED, that definitely cheered me up :)

Agree0 Disagree0

When I'm feeling down Andy Carroll always cheers me up. Tee hee hee (Wavertree Blue)

To be honest, why do we need a new stadium?
Our stadium is big, its bigger than a few other Premiership stadiums and someone posted saying it makes £20 million on a match day. All we need is to maybe update the place, and that shouldn't cost too much compared to building a new stadium. Also, if we did build a new stadium, we'd lose all of the history which can't be replaced. I mean, Goodison Park has always been the home of Everton FC.

Anyone agree?

Breeno {Ed025's Note - sorry breeno i cant agree mate...for me it is a mausoleum. that can only be improved with the help of a bulldozer..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Goodison has NOT always been the home of Everton F C
I think you will find that Everton's first home was Anfield {Ed025's Note - they may have been called st domingo at that time..

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly I'm going to presume you meant 2 million. From what I read it's more like 500k. Arsenal make 3m per matchday, 2.5m every fortnight soon builds up hence the gulf between us and them. One of the major issues is with the corporate boxes. Man U have an obscene amount and corporate boxes and this is where the major revenue streams lie. Everton have a very small amount of corporate boxes, and goodison cannot be redeveloped to increase this. That is the major problem with Goodison, why a stadium move is required and we can't continue at goodison. If Arsenal generate 45m more a season then we'll never catch up financially in our current home. {Ed025's Note - well said mate..you know your stuff..

Bam! Breeno gets owned...

Does anyone actually know what's going on, no serious buyer would choose Blackburn over everton. Bk knows he has to secure the buyout or all hell will break loose. He ain't going to come out and tell the papers what's going on as this could put a spanner in the works, and let's be honest from our track record nothing is ever simple. I honestly believe he wants the best for the blues so let's just see what happens

would you cut of your nose to spite your face, well this is how uncle bill has made me feel with the 150 mill valuation, maybe its best we drop out the prem and into the championship then he might put a more realistic price tag on the blues, you only have to watch dragons den when inventors walk in an say this company is worth 50 mill then they say but we lost 2 mill last year, its bizzare, the blues loose a minimum 5 mill a year, weve no training ground,we need a new stadium, the next 5 years season tickets sales are used as security against loans,85p in the pound goes to finch farm.and god knows wat else is going on behind the scenes.so wat is a more realistic price for me it 30 to 40 mill tops remember theres debt to be paid of and the investers bill used to pay off gregg will want a return on there money, the 25 mill the venkys got blackburn for will be used as a yardstick by the Quataris ,but if nothing happens and they go elseswere i can see the mood of fans turning realy nasty, uncle bill is the opposite of a alchimist every thing he touches turns to sh..te

Believable2 Unbelievable2

But just imagine if it comes off,ill cry me eyes out,it would be like the scruffs av won the lottery,no more wipeing are backsides with newspaper ,we can afford the propper stuff

Agree0 Disagree0

The cost of Finch Farm is a real thorn in the side but sadly it's needed. Maybe change its name to Dale Farm... we could stay there for free for the next ten years, BK could sell his house, buy a few players with the money and live in a caravan behind the changing rooms. Problem solved ;)

Did anyone notice how dangerous Rodwell looked going forward for england against the best team in the world ?
Something Moyes has not allowed him to do for the past 2 years

Could it be that we have alcohol sponsorship, which is potentially stopping investment from Arab origins?

If and its a big IF this Qatar rummor is true Blue Bill should prove he's a true blue get his money back and let us all join the fantasy football world. If he pulls this one off I'm sure he would leave with all our thanks. This site will go into overload if this comes off with all our potential targets.......

Any wealthy backer who chooses blackburn over everton is obviously not serious about challenging for champions league - they're just dipping their toes into the premiership and doing it on the cheap - just wanting to take part in the fun. Everton is the only club left with large fanbase that is available at a very low cost (relatively speaking) - and that has some cracking young lads just coming through. We need the right buyer, and the right buyer would spot our potential. {Ed025's Note - good post that mate...and if they think blackburn have more potential than everton..would we really want them anyway?..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I dont think its the case where they think Blackburn has more potential as it is.. but as an investment there is a big difference. We dont own a thing, one of our proudest things is our academy but we dont even own that. An although that we have a bigger fan base now, if blakcburn got taken over and invested in it would increase their fanbase (glory hunter fans) I personally would choose everton everytime but that because i support them.. a random business man doesnt and looks at figures.. a new stadium straight away speaks for itself for alot of companies thinking short term profit

Agree0 Disagree0

And - these buyers should be reminded of the number of top flight titles won by English clubs - we're in 4th place with 9, behind Arsenal with 13. Blackburn have 3.

With Moyes given 100 million its not out of the question that he could challenge for the leage title with the likes of barkely green and rodwell in his midfield and jags n baines in defence.

Can most people even name a current decent blackburn player? One that you'd put in front of Rodwell Jags Baines Barkely?

We're half a team away from having a chance - they're a whole team and a manager away, with no massive support to draw upon and a small stadium.
I know which club I'd rather own if I had billions and wanted to challenge for the league or champions league spots.

Agree0 Disagree1

Why would you want to invest in Blackburn rovers over ever ton. The last time Blackburn got major investment they won the league and qualified for the champions league then when they payed at home in the champions league they could not even fill the ground. Imagine that was ever ton it would have been a full house, my point being you can only take a club so far by buying the league but if you have not got a fan base then investing in a club like this is pointless in my eyes. Everton on the other hand have got the fan base and can easy bring 6to7 thousand fans to away games in London or any ware on a Wednesday night and then again on a Saturday, not many clubs still on the market capable of this kind of following so come quataris open your eyes and choose ever ton for your investment you won't regret it. {Ed025's Note - i agree with all of that....but stop that ever ton nonsense....lose the gap mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Nov 2011 10:33:34
it looks like the prince of quatar is going for blackburn in thr mirror it says their in talks and blackburn just have to give the go ahead i hope this is just paper talk but it doesnt say anything about us .blackburn what a waste a club with little history and support . {Ed025's Note - i could not agree more

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I think BK should lower the asking price if they're planning on funding a new stadium. 120m + 300m for a new stadium + the debt is alot of money, and probably prices us out if the market. I do wonder if the debt is included in that price. {Ed025's Note - its a good question..
