Ed, great site, read it most days. Bit of a pity the amount of stick BK is gettin. Can see all of the points about investment and get why the fans are angry, but this wishing and hoping that any rumour bwt sum investor is true is way too OTT? How many foreign takeovers have actually worked? They always promise the investment and the money, but other than City (2nd takeover) and a few others think about it... Birmingham, relegation, owners assets seized. Newcastle, Ashley, nuff said. QPR, the Italians, charged ridiculous prices, hated by fans. The s**te and their Yanks, hated. Notts County fans, promised the world. Portsmouth, administration. Derby, Yanks, still in the Championship. Blackburn, chicken, Steve Kean, hated by the fans. Villa, Lerner, Zero Progress, all best players sold. Man City, 1st Time, Shinawatra, assets seized, City got lucky. Man Utd, Glaziers hated by the fans. Arsenal, Kroenke, who is he? Uzmanov wants control, Spend nothing.... We moan, but BK must sell to the right person. Until then, id rather have our chairman who worships this club and its fans, and some great young players like Coleman, Barklay, Rodwell, Fellaini, Guaye, Velios Drenthe... than sell to some foreign guy we know nothing about, to ruin the tradition of our club and see us like all the other teams above. it could be worse.

Jay F {Ed025's Note - you have really confused me now jay..that is a great post mate, and it does make you think twice...that is why the blue union want an independant board to oversee any takeover..

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Great post mate, their seems to be quite a bit of support for bill, if moyes gets some of the arteta money in January then things will quieten down i feel. {Ed025's Note - that money has well gone my friend, when january comes, the same old arguments will surface..mark my words..

Agree8 Disagree0

Excellent post Jay F - and who the heck are Blue Union anyway!? You could see where most of the fans loyalties lay last Saturday. The clappers outdid the booers.

The real problem is with the stitched up prem/champs league format. Until that's made fairer it's just a rigged league forever and a day with only 2 or 3 possible winners - and they've even added new rules to stop another Man City happening - so we'd still be snookered even with a new owner.

Disgruntled fans should channel their anger at the stitched up league format. {Ed025's Note - i agree with that...its a closed shop..

Agree8 Disagree0

As I put in another post, if Bill was Billionaire would you want anyone else in charge? No we wouldn't so when he gets the investment, which I know he will we will be in the better position that all those other sell outs Jay mentioned who were obviously just after the money.
And Bill if you read this site like most devoted bluse do, keep your chin up we are behind you and the boys I BK WT

How about Moyes changing and playing an attacking formation just once. Baines and Coleman as wingbacks, with Drenthe infront of Baines and Gueye in front of Coleman. Felli and Ossie in the middle. Tim and Vellios up top. COYB!
PS Still think Moyes negativity cost us all 3 points Saturday.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I can understand 4-5-1 away from home, but we should be more attack minded at goodison where i believe we should be able to beat anyone on our day {Ed025's Note - i totally agree mate...in my opinion, we are at our best when we play attacking football, when we try to defend a lead, we look very nervous, especially at home..

Agree4 Disagree0

We now have the players to play 4-4-2 and to attack teams especially at home, we have pace and width and i have picked up a rise in optimism within the fans since the villa game. Don't let us down on saturday blue boys! Prediction for the score ed?

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - 3-0...i just hope we play to our potential bez..if we do, we could move up to 6th or 7th, we have got a few hard games after this, so its important that we make the most of playing wigan, but when we go in front..we must not take our foot off the gas..

Agree1 Disagree0

I completely agree ed, we need to beat wigan to take some confidence into the tough games ahead. I have just got my derby tickets through. Can't wait!!

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - what is your prediction for the wigan game bez?

Agree0 Disagree0

We should win at a canter, but this is everton so you don't take anything for granted. Hopefully we will win by a couple of goals and go above the red s***e, hoping that they lose on sunday. It has been a strange week, evertonians have become optimistic and so many blues now think we will have a really good season.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - and dont it feel good..

Agree2 Disagree0

I completely agree ed025..... We can not defend a lead, we try it all the time and it we can hardly do it, player's are too nervous and seem to lose composure.
I think this season, everyone is expecting us to do crap, so why not just be positive and go for it, with the likes of Fellaini and Rodwell in the middle, they are both strong and athletic that we can play 4-4-2 and still be solid in the middle, never going to understand why moyes doesn't play it more.

Agree1 Disagree0

The introduction of drenthe, the emergence of velios and gueye, coleman coming back has all contributed to the mood lifting around goodison in my opinion {Ed025's Note - things are looking up...we do have a good squad, and with the emergence of our young stars, the future is looking quite promising..

Agree0 Disagree0

We do seem nervous at times at home getting over the winning line, this is something we seem to shake off in the second half of the season, hopefully it hasn't taken us as long to get up and running this season {Ed025's Note - for me, the signings of roy and denis was vital, im not saying they are world beaters...but the mood seems to have changed, from despair to belief, its amazing what a couple of new faces can do!..

As a Liverpool supporter listening stories about a takeover and Kenwright out asap , all I can say is be careful what you wish for...we got bought by a pair of yanks ( cowboys) and put us in a right mess but we was lucky to get bailed out by more yanks( decent ones) ....amybe kenwright has concerns about the club and does not want to sell it to a quick buck crew.....

Believable1 Unbelievable0

You have a good point, we need to make sure the club remains in good hands, i think with bill being an evertonian he will make the correct decision for the club. The vast majority of the supporters are still behind bill

Agree1 Disagree0

You do have a good points of be careful what you wish for, but in all honesty the yanks gave rafa big big money and if someone where to do that with moyes we would probably have better signigs than lfc did with rafa, not moking or causing an arguement its just my opinion {Ed025's Note - and its a valid one my friend!..

Agree2 Disagree0

Totally agree with last post. I can only think of two signings moyes made that were awful and never really had an impact and that was Krouldrup and Van Der Meyde. Maybe there is more but i can't think of many more and in 10 years thats brilliant. Rafa wasted a lot money !! and made some shocking signings for big money !
If moyes had money i honestly think the so called "big 4" would be very wary !
Even with 50 million i think moyes would make a side that could comfortably get in the top 4 ! Honestly i do {Ed025's Note - it would be nice to see him with big money, imagine us attracting world class players, and usurping that lot across the park..

Agree2 Disagree0

Agreed ! We dont need a billianaire just someone who can give us say 20 -30 million every summer moyes would challenge the title never mind top4, look at the squad he has assembled with no money !!
I think other teams would be really scared if moyes got investment !

Any word on if saha is in contention for saturday ed?? I think he has been back in training for nearly a week now {Ed025's Note - i have heard he is very close, but my guess is he will be given another week..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Getting saha back shortly will be such a boost, especially with a tough run of fixtures coming up

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard it all before

I think billy should get a chance. He needs to get a run of games. I'd rather see him up front or right behind Cahill/Vellios or whoever we start up top. Not out on the wing. That isn't his place.
His confidence is low. That is clear for all to see. But if he could get a run of games in or near the middle or top of the park, I think he could do well. I doubt we'll get to see that but I'd like to. {Ed025's Note - he needs to come on as sub, and make a bit of an impact, he has not done enough to start, and needs to bring something to the party...i think he has talent, but he needs to start showing it..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I am suprised that moyes didn't sell billy in the summer as he could have been sacrificed to raise funds, i would have thought there would have been interest from russia {Ed025's Note - i think david was reluctant to sell any of his squad because he was told there was no money for any new faces, and although some blues fans dont rate him...i think moyes does!..

Agree0 Disagree1

Moyes rates anichebe as well ed!! {Ed025's Note - i know mate!...he also likes playing 4-5-1...maybe we should get rid of him?....only kidding..

Drenthe, Maggy, Barkley, Rodwell, Fellaini, Coleman, Denis and Vellios are all young talents that are only going to get better...

Perhaps all the doom and gloom was unwarranted (and I include myself in that!)

Really excited for the Wigan match on Saturday.

Wouldn't mind seeing...

Howard

Hibbert Jags Distin Baines

Coleman Felli Rodwell Drenthe

Osman just off Cahill.

Got a good young selection on the bench to bring on if required to really take the game to them!

Thoughts Ed & co?

Maiden

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree maiden, if we steer clear of injuries and these youngsters continue to show promise, then i think we have a squad capable of challenging for 6th. What do you think ed 25??

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i think so too bez..moyes has come out and said that he will have to use the young talent....and that suits me fine..

Agree0 Disagree0

With baines, drenthe, gueye and coleman introducing width and pace into our team. It's not been since the Limpar and Kanchelskis days since we've had an decent quality with pace on opposing wings. Hopefully Coleman and Drenthe will provide it, suppose we'll have to see how the Dutchman acclimatises and how Coleman develops. The big thing we need is someone in the middle to benefit from it. Saha is a wonderful header of the ball as is Cahill. Hopefully Vellios and Denis will develop in this area too. Anyway, options and a bit of optimism. {Ed025's Note - they would be great. in a 4-4-2 formation...here,s hoping..
