Just wanted to say a big sorry to Kone. I gave him all kinds of grief after the ferguson testimonial match but he has been outstanding this season and one of our best performers.

He left the pitch to a standing ovation on Saturday and had the biggest smile on his face. Confidence has the biggest impact on players and teams and I suspect his now will produce some really good performances.

I also thought Lukaku had a really good game. His touch and composure was much improved and he upped his work rate as well. We will criticise him for not scoring but this time he made a good contribution.

Finally, Barkley has made a vast improvement and again it all seems to be related to confidence. He's calm and not taking it to heart when a pass doesn't come off. Some people moan when a difficult through ball or pass it doesn't reach a player but I moan when he doesn't try to reach a player. I don't care if it doesn't come off everytime but at one point like on Saturday it will and we'll score or have an opportunity to score. 2 goals and 3 assists the same as the whole of last season already.

Was a little doom and gloom at the end of the window - we still have a few injuries but have a lot of quality and options on the bench , we we continue at the fast pacey attacking get at them hope so
Happy and proud blue and long may it continue- coyb

Well I have to admit I was one of the doommongers at the beginning of the season. I predicted problems and dire football. Well I holdmy hands up and say I am really happy with the way things have started. In particular I am happy that Martinez has managed to turn things round. I really thought he had lost the plot and was not capable of the job. I also remember I was not alone in my views. So what factors have played a part in our turn around? I would guess the first was as the man says.we added to the squad and did not bow down to Chelsea and media pressure. We stood firm. The second thing that has been obvious to me is that both Barry and Barkley seem to have rediscovered their form. Barkley is actually playing key passes and looks like he will score every game. Kone has also picked up and at last looks like a footballer. But the main thing is the central defence is now looking almost unbeatable. ok Chelsea scored a wonder strike against us. but how many other chances did they create. a lot less than last season that is for sure.

{Ed025's Note - I was a doubting Thomas as well degsy but I'm pleasantly surprised at our start. I'm not going overboard just yet as its only 5 games in, but I must say the omens look good at the moment mate..

Yes I seem to have a big slice of that pie and am enjoying every little piece of it! Early days yet, but we have already looked so much better than I ever imagined! And at last we seem to be signing players from far reached places rather than rely on Everton or City cast offs. I was convinced Jonny Evans was on his way! Lol

I have noticed all the talk in the papers and on the internet is how Stones was brilliant and we coudnt have won it with out him, I must say Jags was brilliant as well

Saying that I think every player on the field was fantastic on Saturday let's hope it continues

I would say we couldn't have won it without the wee man. But Stones is the hot topic. Agree though, it was a good team performance. Interesting that Rob thinks we can be even better. Nice to hear given some of the comments he made when we were awful.

Following his performance on Saturday, has Steven Naismith given his manager a selection problem for the future bearing in mind newspaper reports saying he was prepared to leave the club a couple of weeks ago. That's if report is true.

Watched the Leicester match yesterday and feel a good game to look forward to when they meet Everton.

If he promises to score 3 goals every game we'll let him stay - as long as he doesn't moan about being a sub every game

Only joking - I think he's pushed himself ahead of Kone

I love getting in work on Monday morning when we have won and they have lost, they call us bitter too, it makes it even better when I had the double with Utd, of course I have let them all know that, if looks could kill
