Was hoping west ham were do is a favour tonight but not did they not take any points from the arse they were awful! Thought they might of put them under more pressure! Oh well we can't afford to drop points now we must match arsenals results for the remainder of the season!

{Ed025's Note - its still in our hands si...4 wins and a draw...thats all mate..

One game at a time.
Crystal Palace will be tough to break down and we'll need all of our tactical nous and technical guile to create scoring opportunities - and then we'll need to be clinical in our finishing. That and no crazy defending or sloppy midfield play. If any of our players - or fans - think it'll be an easy match, then they need to think again in my humble opinion. I'd love a comfortable win by a significant margin, but I'd happily settle for a 1-0 victory as long as we get the three points.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they will certainly be no pushover sid. pulis has got them firing, and hard to beat..expect a very tough game..

Too right Cowpat. Pullis has turned Palace around. They were my favourites to finish bottom at the start of the season but have proved everybody wrong. They are a decent team and can pull results out of the hat (Chelsea spring to mind recently). We need to be firing on all cylinders from the off and cannot underestimate them. Hopefully under the lights and with a vociferous crowd we'll make 8 on the bounce.

All guns blazing for every game from here on in. Tough ask but we have five cup finals to play for!
Pressure is on us not gooners. We all know it but just have to keep faith that Roberto and lads get it right starting with Palace tonight.
15 points lads #coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

AW the pressure is on the team who has the least points on the board that will probably change until we have played our gme in hand and we know what the points tally is then the pressure will be on the team that needs the points to go above the other. If we beat/or draw with palace then the pressure is back on the gooners. Exciting times ahead COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think bobby will let any pressure get to our team.we have been winning games all season, so why crumble now.if we win tonight the pressure is on arsenal not us.they can't afford any slip ups. I think under moyes we would crumble with his hold onto a one nil win philosophy, but under bobby we are completely different team with a winning mentality.

Let me start by saying I don't really like the majority of Liverpool fans, I find them arrogant and obnoxious but that aside if they go on and win the league this year, the 25th anniversary of 96 football fans who went to a football match and never came home. One a friend of mine Colin Sefton(seftogs to his friends) who by the way wasn't even a red he just went the game with friends.
I think even bitter old me can live with that.

Justice for the 96 x

Hello evertonians, just got back from the Hillsborough memorial service. I just wanted to say what a credit Roberto Martinez is to your club. Very moving speech and an all round top bloke. Justice for the 96!

Youre welcome Aggers, A very emotional day for everyone red and blue, we will ALWAYS stand side by side, and we will NEVER forget
JFT 96 God bless them all!

We have our banter aggers with the odd barbed comment thrown in now and again but that all pales into insignificance, with Hillsborough were all together mate.Roberto or bobby as we call him, is a very sincere man judging by the way he has conducted himself since taking over our club. For me if he left us playing champions league football after one season he would be a legend. If all these rumours were true, running Everton would be pointless. As soon as we develop a top class player we are going to sell them. Why can't the British press give us a little bit of credit for developing the youngster instead of linking us with selling them. We are not 4th in the premier league by chance, we have thoroughly deserved it with our performances this season and have done it mainly with a young team who love playing for our club. Why would they want to leave and more importantly why would we sell them

{Ed025's Note - im with you all the way revs..good post mate..

Im already looking forward to next season but would rather us be playing champions league than Europa on a Thursday.

As for all these rumours about our players. Its laughable so take them with a pinch of salt.

So for next season I personally think our 2 main targets need to be Gareth Barry and Lukaku. If we don't get Lukaku then I think he will stay with Chelsea and not move to another club.

If he went back to chelsea I am confident that Bobby will have someone lined up.

I would like us to go for Wilfred Bony as well. He has got a skill, scores goals and great ability to bring others into play.

We also need another defender who can cover at full back / centre half.

And maybe another young midfielder in the squad too.

A lot will depend on which competitions where in and how much to spend. can't wait.

Just seen on transfermaket (I'm blatantly putting off decorating the kitchen and fixing a leaky pipe for as long as possible!) that Bafetimbi Gomis is available on a free in the summer. Anyone think he would be a good addition? He's fairly quick for a guy his size, but he's incredibly strong, with good feet. He's bagged 20 goals in all competitions this season and I watched him terrorise Marseilles defence recently and he looked like a workhorse riding a tank. I'd love to see Lukaku stay, but for me, I'd like to see Gomis, Batshuayi, Bony or Finnbogason sign. The guy from Grenada seems good, but I don't think they want to sell him. Any thoughts, blues? Or do I have to start slapping 'honey cake yellow' on the walls?

Demba Ba for me, good striker who is good in all ways and doesn't get game time he deserves, he's their 3rd striker

OK not a great start to the morning opened a website to read "arsenal join Chelsea in race to sign john stones" it then goes on to say "rs to make 38 million bid for barkley" i'm a bit worried about the barkley one not that I think he will go to rs but it will get others like man City and Chelsea sniffing around and i'm not sure even with our recent stability we could turn down nearly 40 million for one player even one as talented as Ross. What do you guys think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is common knowledge we are in a very healthy financial position unlike when we HAD to sell Rooney, if we sell Barkley it will be for around £65 million in my opinion and No way to the reds.
These journos are just lazy twits.
Stones won't be going anywhere.

{Ed025's Note - im with you willo..

In todays market in a seasons time if Barkley continues to progress as he is he would be worth (if you look at Bale as an example) somewhere in the region of £80-100 million. Which is totally unrealistic for most clubs. I think the bids will be comng in fast and furious at the end of the season. If we sell early we will be selling cheap. I personally would like to keep Barkley as long as possible If we can get regular European football then I think we will be able to hold on to all are best players. let's hope Big Sam's Irons can do us a favour tonight. Every player has a right price at the right time. However, we are now not financially dependent on transferring players like we were in the past and RM has repeatedly said that our best players will only be transferred for football reasons. We've moved out Fellaini, Anichebe, Jelavic and Heitinga for football reasons - and got good fees into the bargain - and retained our best (and most coveted) players. We're also giving our better players improved contracts.
In my humble opinion, it'd take a massive fee - and the player concerned agitating for a move - before we'd transfer any of our better players.
RM handles the speculation brilliantly by joking about it, but also by saying how it's a compliment to the progress and performance of the players concerned. I love his line about media speculation that we'd supposedly turned down £50 million from ManUtd for Barkley so why would we contemplate £38 million from LFC. Likewise, with speculation about Sones, RM said he's now at a level where we wouldn't contemplate sending him out on loan. Priceless! Don't you just love the way he handles the media. He's the right one, he's the bright one, he's Martinez!

Yes, the esteemed body of investagive journalism is being washed away by the ever rise of the gutter press. It seems deception still sells despite the recent legal proceedings. Of course, it is of no surprise to see the snipers want to disassemble a team that frightens their perception of "balance" that is the "top 4". I have no doubt that by the start of next season, we shall have read of Evertons total squad being sold given the fear some feel about our rise. Oh yes, EFC is awakening!

Gotta laugh at it really
