Just been reading the echo on line and they go into the implications for city’s ban the premier league are looking at the finding and a deduction points is the most likely outcome probably next season, they have just changed the rules and such activities for ffp breaches are expulsion to league 2, I know it won’t happen but how funny if it did.
In all seriousness I think it would be outrageous and hope for city’s sake they don’t.

Not sure what you’re trying to say Big C.

Don’t think it’s funny at all, understand rules have to be adhered to and punishments for breaches given.

However all the talk currently around us as a club in regards to potentially breaching ffp regulations is quite worrying. If we don’t sort ourselves out as a club then potentially we could also be possibly looking at expulsion to league 2 at some point.

Gingerdan no chance. Everton are spending over the percentage allowed (over their income/ means) , someone has taken their eye off the ball. Any punishment would not happen till after next season, if at all. Everton are working to getting their house (fiscal) house in order.

City have been doing this for many years and have been under investigation quite openly for years. They've been fined on occasion and though they'll appeal, this isn't a great surprise.
PSG will be next.

We have been given a timely reminder not to follow the road we've been on any longer. We are a million miles away from City and their overstepping of the rules. I'm sure we can lock away the cheque book for another window and everything will be fine if the worst case.
I'm sure FMs eyes popped out of his head @ Cities reprimand and will be throwing away the brown envelopes (joke) etc and instructions to be much more aware of FFP will be followed. Blessing in disguise for us and I'm sure we will adjust our transfer policy and finally start to use the buying skills as well as the selling ones of Brands. I hope anyway.

I was just passing on the information, as I understand it and I’m sure Ed 2 will correct me if I’m wrong we haven’t breached ffp because sponsorship money isn’t coming from an owner . City did something along those lines with the money coming directly through the owner instead of though a subsidiary company. All we’ve done is buy too many players on high wages we haven’t breached ffp.
So the only thing I was saying was potentially funny was if City got moved to league two and the that would cause for them . Once we offload Niasse, Martina and a few others we are fine.
Also as I understand it mr usamanov is transferring his ownership of some of his companies to family members and those companies become the sponsors if he joins the board.

{Ed002's Note - (a) The club will have breached FFP spending rules this season. I have explained this before. (2) The money from Usamanov will have to pass the test of whether it is market value for the benefit he gets. On the face of it is not. (c) You seem to be confused about FFP and perhaps should drop the subject.}

Article saying other clubs are run in far worse way than us and are running the authorities that govern UEFA, and same clubs will benefit with Man City's elimination from European competitions and their need to come back in line with FFP rules, selling players reduced transfer budget and wages.

I know city tried to cook the books but they shouldn't be judged and tried by the teams they competing against and who will benefit from their demise.

All this stuff with FFP and pre sponsership stadium rights together with agents, image rights and VAR - does anyone else think football was pretty great in the 80s

The more it evolves the more I dislike it. Pure greed.

Want to cut games and not need a winter break - simple idea - 2 qualify for CL and straight to knockout - draw out the hat like FA cup.

If you get knocked out of CL you don't qualify for Europa Cup

Winner of domesric cup (s) in Europa cup. Not 5th in league

People are obsessed with Europe - this causes a lot of the greed.

The above would make FA cup important

Lastly 5 players in starting line up must be English and come through youth set up

Sounds a bit crazy I know but football is so corrupted and everyone is in on it - including us.

I also know there is no chance of any of the above ever happening.

Totally agree but. only winners go into the European cup as I remember it.

{Ed002's Note - It is going the other way with more European games and an additional competition beginning in 2021.}

Sobs, I have said for years, the third placed Champs league team should not go into the Europa league, it devalues the Europa league.

You could play in July in the Europa league, play numerous games, then suddenly you are then faced with teams dropping out of the Champs league.

So yes I agree with the top two teams going through in the Champs league, the draw out of the hat not sure of because wing your group rewards you with being seeded for the next round.

Most likely because you have forgotten about all the Hooliganism and match fixing that went on in the 80s.

For me the fa Cup has lost its spark. Wembley should not host semi finals. Should go back to old Trafford and villa park. Teams don't deserve to play at Wembley until the final. Its just generating money that the da think of.

Same with the play off finals for teams that don't automatically qualify for promotion.

The football was pretty bad generally but yeah. The game was in a much purer state. Oh and our beloved was a serious powerhouse mostly too. I'd take that level of success but with this era of athletes and speed/ skill. Not much chance for watching games on TV though. Had to read about it mostly. Actually no, these days are much much better, who are we kidding.

The Man city appeal over the severity of their ban is going to be interesting.
Chelsea got a very excessive transfer ban compared to other clubs breaching but had this reduced on appeal due to fairness of punishment compared to others. But in Man Citys case, haven't AC Milan served a European ban which means that a precedent has already been set so it can't be ruled as unjust in comparison.
I see a reduction but next seasons spots could be wide open again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - You seem to be very muddled. Chelsea has never breached FFP and Milan did not need to serve a ban.}

15 Feb 2020 15:30:43
Chelsea's transfer ban was for breach of transfer rules.
City have already had a punishment for breach of FFP which was a squad reduction but was about 5 years ago.

Ed. I'm sure Milan had a year out of Europe for some reason. Maybe this year even.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes they are out for this season but that was not due to the original problem and ban - it negotiated a deal to be out this year to give the new owners time to get the finances in order - they haven't done that by the way.}
