if everton are successfull in signing n, zogbia and saha doenst leave jermaine beckford will be on his way to qpr or another pl london club willing to have him. someone will take him as hes on a free and had a fairly good first pl season. my sauce tells me qpr or fulham will take him. {Ed025's Note - your sauce??..is wrong....maybe you got it on...HP...you,ve got to...ketch-up mate...ask your ...daddies opinion..got to go now..tar-tare.

Beckford will get 15 goals in an everton shirt next season

we have bid for n'zogbia, im confused ? elstone release's statement saying we have no money at all, then we have made a 10 million bid for n'zogbia ?? {Ed025's Note - BK...put his hand in his pocket.....and there it was!!!, all wrapped up....in red tape

I feel rodwell might be off. He's nowhere to be seen tonight, no injury news, Elstone confirming we're selling players this summer and Everton suddenly finding £10m down the back of the couch for the Zog. {Ed025's Note - maybe he,s hiding behind the yak..

If everton sell Rodwell for 25 million and yobo and yakubu for 10 milion then am sure they could move in on sturridge for 10 million, kalou for 10 million and n'zogbia also for 10 million and there 3 quality signings {Ed025's Note - in my opinion,,,,rodders aint going anywhere...the yak is wanted,.......less than shingles....and we will get £2.5m...for yobo..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Rodwell and fellaini do the same job for the team so rodwell could be sacrificed to bring in the winger and striker we need.

being everton manager must be like the scruffy kid who goes to the ice cream van after all the other kids have spent there pocket money and asking if theyve got any broken cornets left {Ed025's Note - or like the kid at christmas...who,s mates get an x-box, or a PS 3.....and you get....a yo yo..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Moyes works wonders with a small budget, he has been doing it since his north end days and you can't argue with his track record

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jul 2011 19:33:57
I would be happy with a few loan signings namely donovan and sturridge. As long as the other key members of the aquad stay injury free then we can easily challenge for Europe next season.

Moyes's history shows he very rarely buys sh*te and if he has a limited transfer kitty then he is not going to waste it....unlike some other club not to far away that will spend it on any old sh*te........

Henderson - unproven
Downing - over-rated
Adam - A Rangers reject

and not forgetting the fat pony tailed Geordie

COYB {Ed025's Note - we can not afford to waste money...so david is waiting for the dust to settle, when other clubs have set out their stall..and made their signings, some clubs will have a surplus of players, they will be grateful to loan..or maybe sell guys who they think, will not figure much next season, to reduce the wage bills....hopefully chelsea will see sturridge in this light...and i for one, would love him to come. we all know the money situation at everton is dire, but we must trust moysie to pull a rabbit out of the hat..so that we can at least challenge the top sides..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Most evertonians would welcome us signing sturridge, it would give us a major boost for next season, as for liverpool they needed to improve their squad even more than we did. I don't know how they will accommodate all those midfielders they've signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem I think with Liverpool is that they have signed the wrong type of players...their defence is very poor...so I cannot see them challenging for that reason alone

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2011 18:55:34
I'm happy with the current squad of players as long as we don't have an injury crisis. The thing that worries me most is that someone will come in for one or two of our star players just before the transfer window closes, not giving us time to replace them.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I really get the impression that moyes must have been promised something to stay. If it wasn't transfer funds i have a feeling it might be that we wouldn't offload any of our main players.

theres a good article in the echo by dave prentis its a bit of a climb down after he got bombarded with disgruntled evertonians views after last weeks article where he mistakenly tried to make out that things arnt as bad as we think but basicly hes trying to make amends its quite an intresting read

Not so much as a specific rumour, but a comment on our lack of activity and finance situation. For the last few seasons we seem to have managed to buy players in on the cheap/free and sell others at inflated prices. I have no idea of our overall net spend for say 5 years, but had an idea that at least we were starting to balance the books and our finances must be getting better. Then hear that we are forty odd million still in debt. I do believe that BK is an honest Evertonian who would not be taking money out of the club, but am not sure about the rest of the board. Certainly since we signed Felli and Billy there has been precious little money spent. Was that 3 seasons ago? I also know we are not the best payers for wages. We also have a tiny squad compared with others. So where is our money going? Premier League Sky money added to gate receipts is a fair old quantity. I would personally sell Rodwell or at least get Sturridge as a part swap? We seem to have enough midfielders and insufficient young forwards.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Jul 2011 16:12:45
So why can't we start well? In my opinion, for once we caused our own demise last season by not having a good enough strike force from day one.
We had quality and depth all over the pitch except for goal scorers.
We are in a worse position this season as two of our more experienced forwards are gone (or soon to be gone). We need at least one quality centre forward and we need to spend any loose change Bill can get his hands on to get one. {Ed025's Note - totally agree...great post

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have needed another striker for over a year now, beckford is getting better and will get 15 next season, if we had sturridge as well then i would be very optimistic for next season, gueye or anichebe might be a good shout for the wing, gueye looks a promising player and anichebe was fantastic against city on the wing last season {Ed034's Note - along with a lot of supporters I think Beckford will be key for us next season, Would love Sturridge but being realistic i cant see it, however I do think if Moyes can make up with Yak i like the sound of Yak/Beckford

Agree0 Disagree0

Yaks strength could hold the ball up well for beckford. Yak terrorised the reds with his strength and movement in the goodison derby last season

I am a blue fan a little over 30 years. The biggest problem with us not signing anybody is the rest of the players will start to think we have no ambition and will look to move on especailly the younger ones the likes of Fellaini, Rodwell, Baines, Barkley, Hope, etc. maybe not this season but over the next few and you could not blame them. thats why we lost Lescott and Pienaar. we have had Fellaini and Heitinga say as much already and if it keeps up we will eventually lose Moyes. I hate to say these things but its what will happen on less we get the cash from some where. We need to be challenging for europe. The current squad is good but we need at least 3 decent players or I fear a mid table at best. so Kenright shake up the board and get the money from somewhere. what do think Ed? {Ed025's Note - mostly i think you are right..we do need a signing or 2, just to freshen up the squad.....but lescott..and pienaar...left because of greed...not ambition!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Lescott was always over rated and it was good business for us to get over 20 mill, whats he worth now? City would be lucky to get 8mill for him. We did well to get 3 mill for pineaar in the last year of his contract.

Agree2 Disagree0

I totally agree, however isn't N'Zogbia in the last year of his contract? Yet, he is valued at £10m. Where's the logic BK needs to make some investment sooner rather than later while we still have a club

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jul 2011 14:12:27
why does everyone keep going on about sturridge on here???

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Because he is a very good player who we could get on loan, if we could offload yak and yobos wages. He would get a lot of goals for us. {Ed025's Note - for me he is my No 1 target...he is quick..hungry...and knows where the back of the net is...just him would do for me..

Agree2 Disagree1

N'zogbia and sturridge were my ideal signings this summer and could have made us top 4 material.

Any chance the Euro Lotto Winer is DMs cousin

_-_-_ Ormskirk Otter -_-_-

Everton will NOT be selling any of the top stars. So Rodwell, Jags, Baines, Felli & Arteta will all be at teh club next season. Billy might b used in a swap with McGeady but i think he (billy) will still b at the club next season. We will sell Mucha and swap Lonergan with Turner. We will sign Eagles from burnley then approach Chelsea & spurs over a possible loan for Sturridge and Defoe, but its one or the other not both

Believable3 Unbelievable2

We need to build our team round our top players, but lets not sign eagles, even the burnley fans don't like him. {Ed025's Note - we are that desperate...i would sign ....henderson & carroll...........NOT!!

We all know we are skint so it looks likely we are going to have to look to the youth team this season. I would like to think positively on this. The other season we were struggling for playes which gave Coleman his chance and that worked out ok.We have some fantastic talents coming through that i believe can make the step up given the chance.
Ross Barkley for one is touted as being a bigger propect than even Jack Rodwell and maybe on par with Rooney, I look forward to him breaking through. I believe Jose Baxter reserve player of the year will step up this year also. Young James Wallace sent out on loan to stockport last year by end of season was captain for them at 19.
Then there is Shane Duffy the lad is lucky to be alive but has come back strong be a great story for him to break through good prospect.
Then looking further down the line we have some great talents from our u18 league winning side the likes of luke garbutt , John Lundsram, Hallam Hope all England youth internationals that hopefully given the chance can make the step up at some stage ove the next 2 seasons. Jack Rodwell maybe this is the season the lad will kick on as he should have last season.
I know its doom and gloom and alot of negativity flying around at the moment but we wont turn our back on this club we love its in our blood.
So lets get behind the lads the pressure is off this season we still have some fantastic players and i still think we could sneak into Europe.
COYB

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Whatever happens this summer i will be confident about next season as i still think we are better than the teams that finished below us last season. 7th again with an outside chance of 6th if we can get a striker on loan {Ed025's Note - thats the spirit COYB,,

Agree1 Disagree0

We all tend to get lost in the scramble for major cash spends and sometimes forget that we have a fantastic young group waiting for their chance, and we can include Gueye in that. Arsenal have proved, even though they get slated at times, that developing your own can be massively rewarding to a degree, and I for one think that we have a youth policy to rival them. COYB {Ed025's Note - i agree in principal....we do have good youth...but the time is now...and we need a bit of a boost..

Just a thought but alot of people seem to mention Sturridge on loan. Was one of the reasons he left city not down to money and the rather large contract he was offered at Chelsea. Could we actually afford his wages bearing in mind he would likely become one if not our top earner?

Dont get me wrong think he would be a great signing but cant see how we could even afford to loan him let alone sign him.

Bearing in mind the figures recently revealed that 85p out of every £1 made goes on the playing staff at present (wages etc) it is clear that we wont sign anyone until we reduce the overall weekly bills transfer money available or not. At present we simply cant afford to carry fringe players and as such sales will be the key to any movement this window.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Surely mate if Bolton can afford to take him on loan last season, then we should be able. Coyle is a mate of Villas Boas they done their UEFA badges together so if he goes on loan again I think its back to Bolton.

Agree2 Disagree0

Very true, and as it looks like Yak & Yobo will be staying now thats over another 100k per week we have to find

Agree2 Disagree0

Yak and yobo transfers are holding up any incomings. It would probably be 2 out, 2 in, 1 on loan and possibly 8 mill on a winger

Agree1 Disagree1

would Everton FC like to explain what happened to the £49M received from the football league for finishing seventh. Liverpool seem to be spending theirs £57M. I wonder if Blackpool will spend their £39M trying to get back up to the premier

Believable7 Unbelievable2

The everton accounts are on the web for all to see - we make a smallish loss most years - maybe 5m loss on average. We're 30m in the red overall. Perhaps if Kenwright keeps the ship on a steady line by not overspending now, we'll not have to sell these young diamonds that are coming though in a couple of years?

Agree3 Disagree0

Everton earned 49.6 million in prize money last season, took 19.2 million from gate receipts and 7.1 million form sponsorship and merchandising. Thats roughly 80 million against which everton had operating costs of 79.6 million (wage bill 54.3 million, 4.5 million interest payments on the debt, that leaves 20 million to pay for the finch farm lease, the upkeep of goodison, scouting, medical support, coaches and day to day running costs. Basically breaking even. The likes of sunderland have spent money, but only because they have recouped 40 mill from bent and henderson. {Ed025's Note - i like your style..you certainly know about finance...can you sort my gas bill out?...just kidding.....nice post mate..

why do people say Neville is crap, he's the team captain and to be honest the most consistent footballer we've ever had, id rather have Neville in centre mid than any other fancy footballer

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I wouldn't say he's the best player we've got, but something I've noticed is that he's somewhat of a talisman to EFC, all the other players play so much better with him on the field. Maybe it's his leadership. So keep him in the team

Agree1 Disagree1

Neville gives us experience and 100% every game.He will help some of the youngsters coming through this season, but there are definitely better footballers out there

Agree2 Disagree1

I wouldn't prefere him in centre mid to anyone else at the club, but agree that he is our skipper and when he plays he lifts the whole team

Looks like are ed isn't bothering tonight Hasn't been replying to anything
If your there ed...... PLEASE TELL ME WHO THIS LEWIS HOLTBY IS ? Heard a few noises about him being a great player and available from shalke 04 and he has said on camara that he is evertonian ?? Any of this true ed ??
Cheers Hope you enjoyed your few hours off ha ha ha {Ed025's Note - holtby is a young lad who does play for shalke...he is german..but his dad was born in liverpool...he is a blue nose, but if we signed every footballing evertonian....we would have a bigger squad than sunderland!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Second Shalke player linked in as many days, we must have had a scout at their games. Sounds like a player for the future, probably someone we don't need with all the youngsters we have coming through and we would probably get bentley or jenas for the same price

Cheers ed I just wanted to know, ive never heard of him and was just wondering if he getting hyped up a little {Ed025's Note - the answer to that is yes!..

Ive heard an interesting rumour around the city today and was wondering if you have heard the same ed ? or anyone else on here ? I heard that moyes will not be selling any key players ie; rodwell, jagielka, arteta, feliani or baines. He may get a striker on loan though. The reason for this is because there is a potential buyer for the club that could be done by christmas 2011.
Everton think that the current squad can do enough to get them a decent start and if this proposed take over is done by december then if players are needed for a final push they will have funds in january transfer window ??
This could be all made up but its what ive heard today.
Im a man united fan by the way but work in liverpool
Always had massive respect for everton and especially david moyes, i think you are a decent team and i like the style and commitment of your players and fans....... your club have all the right ingredients but need investment and a new stadium
Good luck for the new seqason and i hope what ive heard is true...... id love moyes to be the next united manager. Hope no one is offended that ive wrote on your page, just my mate is a blue and told me to write on here what ive heard
Charlie

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Constructive and positive posts should always be welcomed whatever team you support. Thanks mate

Agree6 Disagree0

I hope what you say is true, but I've heard for far too long that we are GOING to be bought out, it never happens. If we were bought out, and money was invested, I don't think Moyes would want to leave, because he would be pushing for top honours at a club he has single handedly brough back from the dead Sorry, but you may have to settle for Mourinho

Agree7 Disagree0

We are in the here and now though, waiting till christmas for another potential takeover is just stupid, and im sorry, but Moyes is stupid if he thinks that aswell, we need to shift on at the moment, not sit on it, we will just go stagnate in the end, and who wants to see that? none of us do

would be respectful to the fans for someone at the club to just come out and say were gonna try and sign a few players and we have some sort of budget or that we dont then we can all just get on with backing the players we have

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Maybe moyes is happy with the squad and the youngsters coming through. We all know he wants a striker but maybe he thinks that will do us for next season. If we signed sturridge alone i could see us challenging for 6th place. Our work ethic and team spirit counts for a lot, have a look how we blew city and chelsea away at the end of last season

these transfer windows are getting more depressing year after year, the team is on the brink of somethin good we just need that added punch of 2 or 3 decent signings, please Kenwright look harder for an investor i admire your love for the club but we need money to keep up with the rest everton are better than just a mid table side

Believable6 Unbelievable0

i believe we would be in with a chance of signing sturridge, and he would be a great signing, maybe one of the bargains of the summer. Wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and we surely would be able to scrape together the cash for the first installment.
If we don't go in for someone like sturridge, given our striker crisis and budget crisis then the problems are deeper than we thought
