Rumours say Martinez has been watching Marseille cb Nicolas N'Koulou. Heard he's quite good but they're doing a budget overhaul so he could be available for as little as 5 mil. To me that sounds like a steal, thoughts?

So Martinez has apparently stated that we are not in the market for another striker and that he is happy with Lukaku and Kone. Well that makes one of us.

Kone is going to be with us for another season but I agree we need another forward or a solution within the squad.
I'm hoping Lukaku will learn how to play as a main striker but I don't think he can play alone. He's not strong enough(somehow!?) and has a terrible first touch sometimes.
He is more like David Banner instead of the Incredible Hulk.

Charlie Austin, is no Ronaldo or Mesie, but he is, a proven goal scorer, (even in a poor side), he is clearly available, and he is within our price bracket, not to put us in the mix, is another act of selfrightus arrogance, from that know all spanish bull stirrer.

Mike, Hulk's alter ego was changed from Bruce Banner in the comics to David in the tv series. Don't know why. Also, Lukaku has been wearing purple pants this season (third away kit) just like Hulk has for the last fifty years, so the comparisons continue. Sorry, went a bit nerdy in this post. Back to footy. Yes, get Charlie Austin. He's had a meteoric rise so far and is only going to get better with more PL experience.
{Ed001's Note - I don't want to get any nerdier but there are a lot of disputes over why the name change occurred. Ferrigno has publicly criticised it as he claims the name was changed as Bruce Banner sounded too gay. The guy who made the series gives a couple of different reasons though, one being he wanted to honour his son, the other being his dislike of comic books made him want to remove the TV series as far from the comics as possible. Sorry it was one of those things that always intrigued me so I looked it up one day when I was bored.}

Just looked at our squad of 35 players. 10 are kids, 10 we need to let go ( loans, injuries, age or just crap), and 5 getting close to there 30+ years. That leaves us with a core of 10 players. So bring in 3 or 4 quality players, with a bit of youth and we should be fine. Or sell the kids, keep the other 10 and buy some obscure players from a clubs you've never heard of and watch us play like Newcastle all season. I know which one I prefer.
