watching motd and what a muppet that sinclair is. he slagged off bains for the chemistry comment last week and tonite he said the tackle from wisdom on borinea was not a pen. bbc must be desprate for panelists because what has he ever done. he made his name on the back of a over head kick for qpr years and years ago.

I could moan as I usually do about Martinez, the game or whatever and it would all be utterly depressing. However, I want to talk about something really positive.

The two lads, Davies and Connelly done themselves real justice today and must say I was really impressed with them. Confident on the ball and full of desire they can be proud in how they handled themselves.

Good luck boys or should we now say men.

just a word on todays game. I thought the lad done great he showed passion, pace and determanation. I think more fans should run onto the pitch.

A funny post but how have things come to this?
Lads running on the pitch only brings the club into disrepute.
Stay dignified but simply continue to pound social media with the message RM has to go.
I posted last week that I'd take a draw, one on Wednesday please!
This time next week we might be in a cup final, if not I expect on the Monday morning that RM has been relieved of his duties.

Ever the optimist Mushy. But I don't think he'll go until the summer to be honest. I'd love you to be right but I'm not holding out too much hope.

the pitch invader has spent more time on the pitch than niasse.

16 Apr 2016 21:47:24
In all fairness he speaks for the lot of us, but fans have no place running on.he couldve been crazy and had a weapon or something.he might feel how I feel but he doesn't represent me with his actions

Mushy mate it mite take the club being put in disrepute to get a new man in. the board need pushing to get a new man in to change things up.

Lose next week and he will have to go. There is no way he could stay and I have no doubt he will be gone.

ye never know it could have been a weapon with 3 points.

He may speak for a lot but fortunately not everyone!

17 Apr 2016 05:44:50
A heavy defeat on Wednesday will see him shown the door, in fact any manner of defeat. I've said since Moshiri came in that RM was doing himself no favours in auditioning for his own job and he is currently slitting his own throat game by game. Patience boys, we have almost seen the back of this manager. Fan invading the pitch was just stupid, no class whatsoever.

How much more of this s. e do we have to put up with? Bill, we would all like an answer, please.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2016 20:47:23
Above all Bill, just take note of the stats. Whatever happens now this is the Manager that has presided over the worst home result run in our entire History. Now some of us warned against this in 2013. Personally I had taken time out to study his CV (it was not good reading) .

16 Apr 2016 22:18:32
His CV was presented for all to see bill and the other bill bought it!

That draw means Everton are now guaranteed to record their lowest home points total in a top flight campaign (based on 3 points for a win) .

One point for the B team, with the C team coach.

If the board did not know before they must know now that Martinez has to go, bad performance and a fan running on the pitch to confront him, very bad.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

16 Apr 2016 17:04:21
could team and fans spirit be any lower? I understand he may have rested players with the derby and semi in mind, but now think two games to save his job!

One saving grace for Everton is that Farhad Moshiri was at Goodison today to see what everyone barring Bill Kenwright already knew.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Apr 2016 17:43:09
Yep saw that with the fan. Haven't seen Roberto's interview yet (still wetting my vocal chords) . Two things, bloody stupid running on to confront him, gets you nowhere and just gives our Club a bad name, the other is that Martinez will gloss over it. All we can do is sound off because nothing will happen until the end of the season. I am in the camp though of even if we win the Cup then RM should go.

16 Apr 2016 15:22:38
Team has a much better balance than the usual 3 defensive midfielder team he picks. If Lukaku was in instead of Kone this would be a good team.

Haha Gibson back. I said this on wed night against palace and got laughed at. Hope he plays well.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

16 Apr 2016 19:52:44
Gibson is a good player. Unfortunate for him he went under the radar with injuries. Hasn't been injured much this season but Barry, Besic, McCarthy and Cleverly are obviously going to chosen over Gibson. For obvious reasons, Gibson wasn't signed by Martinez, the other 4 were and Gibson is the easy target as he doesn't get mentioned or thought of really as he hasn't played much for the last couple of years because of injury.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Apr 2016 22:23:27
It's a shame. Gibson is class. I wonder where he would be if he didn't have the injuries that blighted his career.

Yes why not play the younger players and are new multimillion pound striker we have nothing to loose and would keep are players fit for the semi I hope we get slaughtered and it's the first time I've ever thought that in over 40 years are well think I will take my seat in the old lady.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i never want them to get beat myself skylark, but im all for giving some youngsters a chance as we have nothing to lose mate..

16 Apr 2016 14:56:24
what I can't figure out is why pay £13m for a striker in January and never give him a chance?
But continue with a striker who has one of the worse goal returns I've ever seen?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think niasse may be a lemon wakka reports from the training ground indicate that he is anyway..

16 Apr 2016 15:02:28
Then Ed025 its another nail in the coffin!

{Ed025's Note - yeah wakka..wheres my hammer?.. :)

Tony Cottee explains what he feels Everton need to do to lift the fans and players at Goodison Park. Bit late today but what would give an immediate boost is the sacking of Roberto Martinez with immediate effect. Install someone like Big Dunc and Unsy for remainder of the season, nothing to lose.

I think in this day and age of professional football at the highest level three seasons is a very reasonable time to assess how a manager has performed and what direction the club is moving in.
Moyes took over a poor side that were relegation battlers and did enough to extend his tenure and ultimately built a team that had aspirations of top four and certainly a team that should achieve European football that had great team spirit and work ethic.
Martinez had inherited a team that was in that position to start, after a terrific first season it has become a downward spiral, although he has had more funding to develop the squad. we rest in his third season with a cup semi final as all to play for, another season of mid table mediocrity and the top talent in danger of being lured away in the summer. I believe that the board should be reacting early and ensuring this summer is not one of chaos changing managers, buying and selling all to late, it could be a long stressful summer for us fans!

Looking around at available or maybe available managers, it looks a very small pool of talent. In my experience if your lacking qualities then you do training or self development. My point is, what is the chance of Martinez maybe reassessing his approach and taking or attending Barcelona or other clubs training sessions like Moyse did for a fresh ideas or reflection.
Martinez must know our defensive play is awful and it can't carryon or he will be sacked.
In a nutshell I'm trying to look for a bright future in hope we have one. P. s I think Southampton will spank us but hey that's the norm now!

There are rumours that he does not do certain things and he preaches that he wants open attacking football which is quite admirable. However, winning games is the bottom line and although we do not lose many, we draw far too many. I find comments attributed tohim as quite incredible (excuse the pun) . eg to state we do not prctice corners and other set pieces to concentrate on flowing football is unbelievable. Man Utd won the league a couple of seasons ago scoring most of their goals from set pieces. In the 80's we won many games scoring from free kicks and corners in the last minute. Our set pieces have been dreadful for the whole of RM's tenure. How many more games would we have won with a few hours practice at the end of each training session. It's like a chef saying I will cook a meal without using pans! He would end up with a mess similar to ours!
