Should look in to signing that Kieran Dowell from Forrest, looks a great player him .

Don't believe we can get him back until the end of the season. He is probably better off staying at Forest and playing every week.

Agreed blue mike we have enough players in that position so he will develop better where he is maybe get the opportunity next season!

Niasse, Lanzini going to ground is nothing like Calvert Llewelyn at Anfield. At Anfield the lad very cleverly knew the defender was coming so stepped across him, if the defender was to thick not to know not to puts hands on then good for Calvert. Niasse and Lanzini were going down while the defender was still thinking about it. I get that some supporters are colour blind, but is that an excuse for utterly stupid comments such as Smoke is coming out with.

Good results for us today with Leicester and Watford losing. Hopefully we'll be in 9th by Monday night and 8th for the New Year. Then sign a few players and push for top 6/ 7. Fingers crossed.

Wonder if Watford now regret not taking the reported £10 million from Everton for Marco Silva.

I was just thinking the same. They have been leaking goals left right and centre, which we were doing at the time we wanted him, add to that they don't seem to be able to keep 11 men on the field and I think maybe we dodged a bullet, just shows for all his money, Moshiri still isn't in the know on the footballing side of things.

As someone that was ok with big Sam I would say Silva was to similar to Martinez think we swerved that one!

Haven't been on here for a while as there were so many people just saying negative stuff I just turned this site off.
I've now come back to see what the comments are like now, it's so funny how we all think we no better, I no this is a site where we show are passion for our club, but I really do think we should trust in the powers with in out club, yes they don't get them right every time and mistakes happen, SM being our manager I think was the best thing for the club, we were going seriously wrong, to many new players at one time, players being slagged off in public by the previous manager, now we have someone who can put an arm around a player, encourage the players who have no quite got to where the team need them to be, but isn't afraid to drop them or change there position, I look at our team now and it's a completely different team, anyone who thinks it was down to rhino you are very mistaken, big Sam was in the stand and the team played for him and it's carried on, he talks and they listen, people may say it's all long ball, defensive, but it's results, he has done a cracking job in a very short time, I look back at moyes he did this year on year with hardly any funds, if moyes had a top striker his team's would of been at the door of the top 4, he left and what have we done, big money spent and not alot, hopeful with Sam we can get into the elite, we may need some luck along the way and it maybe to late this year, but he needs credit where credits due, get behind our team threw good and bad, not just the good times.

Yep I agree. Said in another post. imagine Lukaku in Moyes' last team. The one that knocked Man Utd out of the semis and lost 2 1 to Chelsea. That team with Lukaku would have done ok. But back to your point yes Sam needs time now to lay a foundation. Remember he is not so young so Unsworth may get his chance in the future.

Yes good post Simon. As far as luck is concerned I have always believed that you made your own luck, however when it came to being jammy Liverpool always got the top award. However now since Big Sam took charge we have got a penalty against them, Mane made the wrong choice in not passing and Newcastle hit the post twice. Liverpool on the other hand had our penalty against them and had a goal disallowed in their last game. Hopefully this trend will continue.
By the way for my old friends on here I have morphed from 1940Mike and several other Mike designations to Blue Mike since I lost all my passwords and my old e-mail. Still the same old Mike.

Some positive posts on here for change and positivity coming out of the club after reading ash saying how uplifting Sam has been.
I think with the Sams, Shakespeare and Walsh there appears 4 very passionate shrewd people steering our club hopefully in the right direction.

Hi folks further to my posts below, i would just like to add, that the likes of Klopp, Mourinio Wenger and Pep etc all hate the type of manager we now have on board at Everton, why because of the experience Big Sam has, he knows how to get something out of these so called no win no draw games, how dare we take points off these mighty clubs, you just have to see Klopp spitting his dummy out after the Derby what a cheek we have to take something out of the game at Anfield, well I say to all these so called Know It All Managers what out boys because we are coming to get you and you WONT like it, we have been crying out for someone like Big Sam to come in and I can't wait to see what happens when he has a bit of cash to spend in January, Big Sam is now at the Biggest Club of his long career, and I want to be on board for the ride, believe me these so called top managers will rue the day Big Sam arrived at Everton, we are so lucky to have him.

This may sound harsh GB, but SA is doing exactly what I thought he would do, it’s just a surprise that he’s managed to achieve it so quickly when Koeman and Rhino struggled.

I’m not saying I’m not pleased with the turnaround it’s just that i'm not surprised.

What will surprise me though is if he adopts a more exciting style of play as he’s always been about safety. And if he does get us playing good football whilst keeping us tight at the back then he’s got my unwavering support.

Let’s all hope he does.

Good on ya GuernseyBlue. I'm firmly with you on this. As you say big Sam shows the passion. He is genuinely grateful to be at Everton. Despite the negativity he got in recent years I believe Sam deserves this chance.

The biggest and best chance he has got in his career to show what he can do. He'll be a success and fair play to him.

As I pointed out earlier. remember Big Sam bought Jay Jay Okotcha and Ivan Campo to name 2 wonderful footballers at Bolton. he may build a base/ foundation. but he is not afraid of good footballers. He will sign some creative people too. If we had got Pulis in I would agree with the posts. Big Sam has an undeserved reputation for boring football. In reality he lays a foundation and then sorts out the creative side.

Good football is meaningless without a solid base, a strong foundation and the players who have confidence in the manager and want to play for hm.

Fat Sams achievements at Bolton are very much understated.

When the Reebok stadium first opened I was living in Horwich ( by the way we were the first away team to play there ) and have followed fat Sams career ever since. We are without doubt the biggest club he has ever had the privilege to manage and as such I think both he and his team will move heaven and earth to make a success of it.

He knows he has so much history that could possibly show him in a negative light and that too will motivate him to bury it all by being a success with us.

It is no secret that I have supported him since before his appointment, I remember mentioning his name in live chat even when RK was in charge. I honestly believe he will get us into Europe on a regular basis.

Do I believe he is the right manager for us? .

Of course I do.

{Ed001's Note - he also knows it is his big chance, which is why he wanted the longer contract when he had said to other enquiries he would only want to manage until the end of the season. His plan had been to take short term jobs of rescuing clubs from relegation and then having a break, before the next short term rescue job came along. Everton were looking to him to do exactly that, but he knew this was a chance he would never get again, so he wanted another season, believing he would be able to do enough to earn another contract in that time.}

16 Dec 2017 17:07:27
It makes you think Ed001 if he see's it as maybe his last chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think he does and he is probably right, there is not going to be another team in such a unique position in the near future.}

Good summary Ed001. Exactly how I look at the game Blue-tit in that post so obviously agree. Good times ahead.
