Hi Ed’s, just out of curiosity do any of you know under what circumstances that Watford have now been given a WP for Joao Pedro? . I know it’s been over a season but given we have struggled with this in the past and this kid hasn’t kicked a ball outside of S. America? I wondered if it’s the ‘Special Talent’ but from what I have read it’s not 🤯.

{Ed002's Note - I would need to ask. Sorry I don’t know.}

Of course Ed, - thanks as always.

special talent would be my guess. rated very highly over in brazil and was talks at one stage of real or Barcelona buying him off watford before even kicking a ball.

Just watched extended highlights of Everton v Wimbledon 1994 last game of season. Remember it so well but how did we not get beat that day. Dean Holdsworth missed 2-3 headers that were easier to score.
Anders Limpar gave the softest penalty for a crazy handball then won a penalty for diving when he wasn’t touched.
How Graham Stuarts 2nd got past Segars I’ll never know 💴💴
But what celebrations at the final whistle.

Only Segars knows the answer to that one Joe. 🤔.

{Ed025's Note - and the fraud squad i imagine ace.. :)

Brilliant game mate.

As much as i love us, you'll never see more blatant corruption in your life. Was it Segars and Grobelaar who shortly after got caught for taking bribes?

I was at the other great escape against Coventry, even managed to get on the pitch at the end and do a Klinsmann dive through the centre circle ha ha ha.

Brown envelopes flying between dressing rooms at half time.

That game was the most nervous I've been as a blue. It was also my 18th birthday before the days of watching games over the internet. I gave my ticket away as, if things went wrong, it could have ruined that day!
Without doubt hand segars had been nobbled, he put in a dodgy performance to say the least. Just glad he wasn't the only goalie that was named to be on the take.
Longest 90 minutes of my life but I got to celebrate that day!

I remember it well, only me but someone was on a back hander.

Just been reading the Premier League are going to investigate the latest Usmanov deal, let's hope it's all above board.

Apparently other premier league teams have complained about the deal, smacks of jealousy, this complaint can’t go anywhere as I doubt we’d have announced it so publicly or even got involved if it wasn’t within all the rules. The very core of what Everton do is be honourable.

Seen some sort of rule stating it has to be market value,
But then what is market value Neymars transfer was not market value at time.

Neither was Siggurdsons TB.

Did you expect anything else after the Niasse simulation rule.

The likes of psg, Barcelona and city have been doing it for years.

They may call us bitters but anything Everton and investigations and setting an example of will always involve Everton.

{Ed025's Note - it does seem that way bignev..

16 Jan 2020 20:30:04
From what I understand it’s a common occurrence in the commercial sector which is where the idea is likely to have come from, we will see though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - these posts are all rather embarrassing I am afraid. The PL must assure that the value is third party financial input reflects the value that it does. Everton are a club with low turnover and low sponsorship - it will be absolutely fine.}

16 Jan 2020 22:38:14
Thanks Ed, my concern (very little other than a tad tarnishing) is that Spurs actually have a project that they are looking for Bonafide sponsorship for 20mil. CL finalists last season and London based. We however have managed to achieve 30mil for a the right of 1st refusal as I understand. - I may be informed incorrectly on all t he above Ed but your thoughts most welcome?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing todo with Spurs - it is simply value for money and has simply attracted attention as the club has a serious financial issue and the stadium to be sponsored does not exist.}

16 Jan 2020 22:49:31
Thanks Ed, I did wonder why we didn’t just get Goodison sponsored - Jokes of course!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - If you buy an old property and demolish to build anew, it is common to trade the work to demolish for the building materials that ca be recycled. Who is the biggest skip supplier onMerseyside?}

Finch Farm Ed, got a good stockpile of rubbish there mate.

every single bit of business similiar to this is investigated by the premier league this is not new, don't understand why everyone is amking a big deal of it. we're ran by financially savvy men (although we don't spend well) they wouldn't have announced this deal unless they had covered every outcome of something like this popping up.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2020 15:44:04
But this is a commercial deal so therefore it’s in the commercial sector, I believe it’s just being looked at like any other deal which is procedure not being investigated.
