To the tune mahna mahna

Jelavic do do dedoo

Jelavic do do do doo

Jelavic do do dedoo dedoo dedoo dedoo de de nikica jelavic {Ed001's Note - I think it might be a bit difficult for people to remember all the lyrics, you might want to simplify it a bit. I know 025 would have no chance with that one!}

Reading this site I have noticed a dramatic increase in the criticism of some of our younger players, namely Coleman, Gueye, Rodwell...
It's not all that long ago that DM was being abused and criticised for not putting these players in the team now people are tearing them apart!!

The same thing is now being said of Ross Barkley... Why is Moyes not playing him? Is he stupid?

How long will you all give Barkley to develop before you start tearing him apart? Coz you have given Gueye about 6 games!! Some so called fans are truly pathetic! Reactionist 'know-it-alls' who in reality know feck all...!! Take a long hard look at urself and wot kind of supporter you are before u start tearing our young prospects to pieces... And dont think that coz u buy the strip and go to every game that this makes u a good supporter!! {Ed001's Note - to be honest mate, it is the same on every site, and also you get a big ground swell of opinion clamouring for some particular fringe player to play, then when he does they all say he is rubbish. It happens on every site, I think it is just the world we live in, no one has patience any more.}

Fair point Ed it just gets on my nerves sometimes... We are a club that needs to develop young players and unfortunately some of them will have to do their developing on the pitch... the least we can do is give them some support and encouragement. I left Anichebe's name out of my list as he has been around for yrs and unfortunately has been poor too often so I can understand the criticism but the others need more of a chance esp as 2 of them are defenders being asked to do a job in midfield and yet are being written off completely because they are not setting the world alight.....!! {Ed001's Note - I agree completely with you, there are so many examples of young players playing poorly and turning into stars later in life when they have had that support and encouragement. Ian Rush being the one that springs to mind, 3 years it took him to show what he could do at Liverpool! Those same fans will then be moaning when the player shows no loyalty to the club after getting his game together.}

Thanks Degsy I read most of ur posts here and you seem to be quite fair minded. And not someone who just criticises for the sake of it.... aflm78

how come we don't just start trying to play like these spanish teams?

Atyhletic Bilbao ripped the crap out of united last night - and they're not a big money club

Believable1 Unbelievable0

They have a Basque-only policy, most of their players come through their youth system, and few bought, that is spirit and togetherness, something money cannot buy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sry mate but that has to be one of the stupidest statements I have ever read!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who? The original poster or the first commenter?

Agree0 Disagree0

The original poster sry if it's you but it's just a little silly to think that we can just suddenly start playing the kind of football played in Spain week in week out in the Premiership...

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not - it seems to be a winning formula - oh no, that's right, we play lumpen football that never wins world or euro cups - let's stick with that shall we - yeah good idea - I'm sure the spanish would like us to stick with what we do now as well - i bet the writer of third post is not the sharpest tool in the box

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you really think any spanish teams would make it in the prem?
C'mon real madrid up at newcastle on a cold january evening? they'd have scarfs, gloves, thermol underware on.

or a couple of tough playing teams like everton, stoke etcs they'd never last.

yeah they can beat passy pass teams arsenal etc but a full season in the prem? I don't think so....

Gods Doctor

Agree0 Disagree0

No worries mate, I was the first commenter

Agree0 Disagree0

You have the cheek to suggest I am not the sharpest tool in the box after the rubbish you have written! If it is so easy to just play the 'spanish way' why doesnt every team in the world just start doing it!! The English FA have been trying to improve the technical ability of upcoming players for years now with little success yet you want Everton to simply start doin it over night.... Get real you numpty!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not even trying to do it - because of people like you saying we shouldn't do it - everyone can see the spanish style of pass n move and good feet skills is the way to win things - but no - we've got short sited dinosaurs like you saying we shoulldn't do it - it's not possible blah blah blah - well get used to never winning anything person - enjoy!

Agree0 Disagree0

In your own life if you see your way of doing things doesn't work very well, do you carry on doing it whilst others seem to do better by doing things different - cos you'd rather stick to what you know than change? yeah thought so.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have never said we shouldnt try to play better football u numpty! But to expect Everton to just suddenly change a whole footballing philosophy overnight is jus ridiculous and shows you know nothing about football... The problem with English football starts with the way kids are introduced to the game and trained at the youngest levels. There is only one team in England that has had success playing pass and move football in the premiership and thats Arsenal and thats because the majority of their players over the last 15 yrs have been foreigners... Oh and by the way when was the last time they won a trophy!?? I'll say it again GET REAL YOU NUMPTY!!!!

After Moyes big mistake in the derby resting 6 players he best guide the blues to the semi's of the FA cup, here's the team i think he will choose.
Howard
Neville Heitinga Distin Baines
Drenthe Fellaini Osman Gueye
Cahill
Jelavic

SUBS
Mucha
Hibbert
Jagielka
Rodwell
Coleman
Anichebe
Straqualersui

and against Arsenal i think he will make changes again, but if he has learnt from tuesday you can't make that many changes from a undefeated team so i think there will only be a couple.

Howard
Hibbert Jagileka Heitinga Baines
Coleman Fellaini Rodwell Pienaar
Cahill
Straqualersui

SUBS
Mucha
Neville
Distin
Osman
Drenthe
Anichebe
Jelavic

A win in the cup and a draw against Arsenal is my prediction

Further to my 'everton is not a small stepping stone club' post...

How would Moyes like it if all of his loyal Everton fans decided that we too, like him and his aspiring players, saw everton as a stepping stone club and decided that we would move up the league ourselves, and go and support Man Utd or Man City?

Maybe he'd have an empty ground next week to work with? - I wonder how his managerial credentials would look after that 'Gerald Ratner moment' - none to clever I imagine.

He's taking us fans for granted and I personally find it a bit objectionable for him to kind of dismiss the club and its supporters in this way - not really happy with that comment

Clozem Downe

Believable5 Unbelievable3

What a ridiculous comparison being a supporter is a passion and a sometimes painful love-affair not a career!! Don't be silly when you try to criticise!!
