Well chuffed with the result today.
Gr8 way to bounce back from such a terrible performance.
Fingers x that result can galvanise boys and give them the necessary confidence.
Lets all hope that last weeks result was a blessing in disguise and that its done us a favour.

First time I've commented since registering. I'm official now!

Come on were R all the moyes resign mongers now we jus battered the second best team in the best league in the word am yes its down to moyes. come on speak up we can't here u

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I was one of those people your talking about, and I stand by what I said last week after all one swallow doesn't make a summer and as well as the players did today, and yeah I give them credit but the fact is it's come a week to late, and one last thing at least I dare leave my name which is more than could be said for you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike you talk about today's performance as if it was the exception but today was the real Everton. Last week was the exception. One swallow doesn't make a summer but one bad game doesn't make a bad manager either.

Well said Aintreeblue, GuernseyBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Me too after last week I think a full inquest and most people from myself to stan collymore had something to say about are club players and manager and to be honest today must have been the easiest team talk DM would have given in his 11 years at the helm and yes we are still bitterly dissapointed about Wigan but its gone now enjoy everything about today it was a great win and performance and let's see we're we are at the end of the season I know there will be now trophy again but let's hope the boys carry on from today and let's finish as strong as we possibly can!stefc

Agree0 Disagree0

Aintreeblue, where was the real Everton last week when it mattered the most? If anything has made me more angry about last week as we know for sure now that it was a bottle job, but time to move on I guess until we have another big cup match again then we all know it will be groundhog day.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the op - I guess you were happy with last weeks performance then?

I had a go at Moyes for sitting on his backside when we were losing and Round was on his feet. Like the players WE pay his wages and WE are entitled to have a go at anybody not putting in a shift.
Good times or bad I'll be there and probably long after anyone from the current squad or management. If anyone is falling short of doing their best for EFC then I'll certainly have a go at them.

We won - enjoy it.

Hi guys
Some of you may already know this but unfortunatly pienarr is out for 2 games as picked up two yellows which is one game and recieves a further game ban as he has picked up 5 yellows this season!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

If you get 2 yellows equalling a red does it not cancel out the yellows?

Great effort. Coleman stood out. pace and threat. Vic ran his socks off. Moysie rattled by the criticism during the week has a little dig at the fans in the press conference afterwards. "they are watching a good football team. " But anyway, everyone goes home happy!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Big Vic MOM imo. Good all game but his chasing down the ball early second half got the boy's (and crowd) back on track. Looking a bit shaky just after half time until he did that.

Some very good performances today, Gibbo, Ossie and Johny H. best all round performance I've seen from Victor, Jelas goal will do him the world of good, Seamus Coleman was exceptional both going forward and at the back. Shame abt Peanut and Screech. Referee was very poor even if we did benefit from one decision, it was the only one he gave us all game.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

16 Mar 2013 15:15:49
Wonderful effort by the boys today, thought Coleman played superb, and Vic may not be the most talented, but he worked his nuts off today. Finally a mention for Jelly may have been a deflection but at least he SCORED! And to all the rumours about players not getting on, just look at how they celebrated that second goal. Finally the supporters, easy to support your team when everything is going well, but the fans drove that team from the first minute today. Loved the singsong at the end, could have stayed there all night.

Every player did their bit, but Coleman and Anichebe were immense.

DM got a superb performance out of the team and got the result. That's why he's a Premier League manager - and that's also why the players are in the Premier League. And it's also why every poster on this website (especially myself) isn't - while we all wallowed in the depths of despair, and posted heavy criticism, and were writing off not only this season, but the future of our club as well - they, as professionals, just got on with their jobs and delivered on the pitch.

Just thinking about today's game and what a horrible week it's been I have never felt this nervous before a match for a long time what are we going to get today will fans be getting behind the boys or will the boos start from the first minute yes felleni had a bad game but it was his attitude that pissed me off he is a top player who has been class this season I hope moyes has had a chat with him, but let's not get on his back we need him to perform for remainder for 2 reasons to help us finish season strong and 2 if he is going we want a top price for him if fans turn on him then this will be bad on both fronts as it will force a quick sell and not the price we will want for him for me he his worth 30 million as he can control games as we have seen the opening match agaist utd although long time ago was prove that he can destroy teams and the very best ones we need a massive result today and a performance to get fans up for the season finale if we perform and win today this page will change again we still have to play arsenal and Liverpool yet and those 2 could decide where we will finish

Just about Ross Barkley, I rate him myself but give a believe if you do or unbelieveable if you dont

Believable6 Unbelievable2

If he was that good, he'd be playing. Simple as, I believe we haven't seen him because he's just not good enough. He was the answer to all our problems when we didn't sign anyone in the summer, yet still only played like 60 mins in total for the first team. So he can't be that good, otherwise he'd be playing. He may look good in the reserves but first team he just doesn't seem to have it

I've just realised why the players have stopped performing. They were told we needed to qualify for Europe so that BK and DM could have the cash to buy some new ones to replace them. (Actually, this quotation is something Chris Turner said at Peterborough, but was too funny not to apply to Everton. )
They might be playing like turkeys - but they're not voting for Christmas!

Here's a great quote about football that I wish BK and DM would aspire to: "It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory. "

Hey lads been a long time since I've posted on here but I couldn't help myself. I don't understand the massive backlash just from one game. I can't stress how pissed off I was refreshing my phone every minute while I was at a friends 21st here at home in Australia. Only to refresh it 3 times to see the score at 3-0. I held so much hope that it would be our year in the cup, especially with our home draw. At the end of the day we weren't good enough but players, teams, coaches have bad games and if I'm completely honest we haven't had many bad games this season - we've lost 5 games all be it we've drawn a lot of games we should have won. The season is far from over though were sitting in 7th with a game in hand over the rubbish. I can honestly say that we've played some of the best football in the country this season so let's not slag off about how poorly we're playing. We've dropped off quite a bit over the last month or 2 but against Reading we were starting to look the goods again, it was only after that game we were all saying yes things are looking good for the run home now everyone is moping that the season is over.

2 more points which need to come up. Fellaini has been a god this season but I'll be the first to admit his performance against Wigan was not up to Everton standards (as with a lot of the other players). But whether he played a bad game or not. whether he'll be wearing the Everton logo next season or not if he plays well he can move us into 5th spot without a doubt. Him along with Mirallas, Osman, Pienaar, Baines and Gibson can be an absolute nightmare for other teams. For those who've forgotten how good Felli is please watch this

Now the main reason I've been wanting to comment here is because of us supporters. Let me say this first. In December I came to the UK and Europe for a couple month trip. I watched Barcelona, Real Madrid and Man U. They were great. watching those class players was something but I travelled to Liverpool to watch Everton Chelsea. We lost the game but of all of the games I saw this was special. We outclassed Chelsea no doubt but the thing that made it was the Goodison crowd truly pumping. My mate who supports Chelsea was just as impressed as me - it truly was the best atmosphere I've ever been a part of. That is what makes Everton such a great club. Sure. when the players put in a bad performance we have the right to be upset but we don't yell and throw abuse and our players. If we do we move on quickly and support them for the next game. After watching that youtube clip it has reminded me of how well we can play. Let all rally together here and finish off the job that we started so well this season. Europe is ours and we'll get there in 5th spot.

AussieBlue {Ed007's Note - Has it been a long time since you posted or is that you just finished your follow up to the last one. I'm only kidding mate, we much prefer posts like yours than a load of nonsensical one-line boring, repetitive posts. I even embedded your video for you. Ask that old sod Ed025 to do that for you!!!
P.S. Editor of the Year awards voting will take place soon ;-)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Admittedly I got bored after 2 mins and stopped watching but if those 2 mins were the best of felli he looked ordinary at best.

Pod

Agree0 Disagree0

Pod you clearly know nothing about football! He dominates in the air, he's fantastic with the ball at his feet, takes on defenders and he can thread the ball through the eye of a needle be a pass or a shot. He's our best player by a long, long way and I can't believe you've forgot about him carrying us all season because he's had a bad game.

I'm pretty sure Evertonians never used to be this fickle!

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say he was a bad player I said the 2min video makes him look ordinary. However, I don't believe he's carried us all season and he's not our best player. Baines is far important to us and I believe that Mirallas would be a better choice behind the striker. He would score more goals and we wouldn't just lump it forward. 30m for felli would give us the 2 midfielders and the forward that we desperately need. Sell him.
